The Main Chalet House & Apartment near Nantahala River Gorge - Smoky Mountains Vacation Home and Apartment The Chalet House and Apartment are located near the entrance to the scenic Nantahala River Gorge area. It is convenient to the popular family whitewater rafting & paddle sports on the Nantahala River, the Great Smoky Mountains scenic train tours, and the Nantahala River Gem Mine gemstone mining adventure. We have a very convenient location from which to do all of the area attractions. We can reserve your lodging, whitewater rafting, and scenic train tours for one-stop vacation shopping! (The gemstone mining does not require reservations) The Main Chalet House & Apartment both have separate satellite TV systems and VCR/DVD players. They can be rented as one large rental, or they can be rented separately in order to cater to either large or small groups. The Main Chalet House is located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the Chalet House Complex. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have two full size beds each, and one bedroom has one queen size bed, to make 5 beds total. The 3 bedrooms and one bath are located on the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor has the Living/Dining/Kitchen Area of the Main Chalet House, and a second bathroom. This vacation house can sleep 10 people in the 5 beds, and additional people can use the large living area for sleeping. It has 3 short sofas. The kitchen has ceramic tile floors and ceramic kitchen counter tops, lots of cabinetry, a stove, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher and all standard appliances, along with basic dishes and cookware. There is a large deck that wraps around 3 sides of the Chalet House on the 2nd floor level, with a charcoal grill & picnic table for outdoor cooking. There is a washer and dryer in the 2nd floor bathroom. The Chalet House Apartment is located on the 1st floor. It has one bedroom with a queen size bed, one bedroom with a twin bed, and it has a set of bunk beds in the side of the Living Area. It has a smaller kitchen and dining area, and one bathroom. A charcoal grill is available just outside the apartment.

Rates are for 2 people per unit.
Rates are $10/night higher for high season.
