This 1870's French Second Empire Victorian home sits on extensive grounds that feature a beautiful fishpond, screened gazebo and a bridge of flowers along with several benches and unusual sculptures. Families will enjoy walking the woodland footpaths or playing lawn games among large shade trees. The owners, who live on property in the carriage house, are happy to provide visitor information for a truly memorable Cape Cod vacation.
Set along a residential road in Historic Davisville, the house is well furnished and features a wonderfully relaxing screened porch. It takes 3 to 4 minutes to walk to the Davisville public beach, a quiet and secluded spot for relaxing at the shore or Menauhant Beach, a remote larger beach with lifeguards during the summer season. Both beaches overlook Vineyard Sound and Martha’s Vineyard and offer great swimming and stunning sunsets.
Davisville is a historic coastal village in East Falmouth, just 3 miles from Falmouth’s Main Street and the Island Queen offering a delightful 35-minute ferry ride to Martha’s Vineyard. Golf, the Shining Sea Bikeway, Beebe Woods, Nobska Lighthouse and Woods Hole are all within 6 miles.
