Clean Comfy New 3 Bedroom Home. Walk to Town, Eating, Shops
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose Gunnison
We first came to Gunnison in 1994 to visit friends and family in the area. We came back often to fish, hike, ski, and enjoy all the activities we could find. Our oldest daughter decided to go to school and graduated from Western State College and has made Gunnison her home. We have enjoyed some part of every month of the year here and someday hope to make Gunnison our permanent home.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Every time of year offers opportunities to explore the beauty of the Colorado Rockies. We have enjoyed snow shoeing, downhill and cross country skiing, ice skating, hiking, rock climbing, camping, backpacking, fly fishing, biking, and exploring numerous "ghost towns" in the area. The drives through the mountain passes, the Black Canyon, The Gunnison Gorge and the West Elk Loop are another favorite pastime. We try to time our visits with the many festivals in the area. From the Wild Flower Festival to Telluride Blue Grass Festival, there are simply too many to name.
Enjoy a daily walk/run right from the park. A fun and challenging network of trails that provide a beautiful of Gunnison and the surrounding mountains.
Owner's Map of Gunnison
We started 2010 by making some improvements to our home. We re-tiled the master bathroom floor and had laminate wood floor installed in the family room and kitchen. All three bedrooms had ceiling fans installed in the spring. We are very happy with the results. At the end of 2011, we redecorated the living room and upgraded furnishings. We are sure you will enjoy the improvements also.

Just a note to tell you we enjoyed staying in your VRBO and thank you for such a well stocked kitchen. The location of your house is very accessible for dining out and for groceries. We liked the neighbourhood and felt safe walking in the area too. I hope I can come back with my husband to enjoy the Fall in the area again. We saw such lovely Fall colours every where we drove to. Could not get enough of the fantastic colours.

Thank you so much for sharing your Gunnison home with us. We were in town for bike and trail running races, and found your home to be more than adequate for our needs. Super comfortable, and easy to get to. The townie bikes in the garage were fun to pedal around on, too. I would recommend your home to anyone looking for a place in town. Thank you for your hospitality.
Owner response:Thank YOU Christy! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in Gunnison! It is fun to share our home with folks like you who love Gunnison as much as we do. Hurry back! Bob & MJ

We had a great time in Gunnison, your home fit us to a T! We got there at about 4:30 PM on Thursday after driving over from Denver - great drive! It was a great trip and your house really had everything we could have needed. Thanks for your home, Graduation was great. The weather was unbelievable while we were there, it was in the 70s every day and clear. Thanks again.

Thank you for renting your cozy, charming plreace to us. We enjoyed our stay while in Gunnison. The girls and I took the room w/ the twin beds and were very comfortable. I loved the spacious closet in that room. We had a couple of other moms there w/ their kids, too. Again, thank you for everything and for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay in Gunni.

Our family stayed at the house for just 2 nights to break the long drive from the Rockies to Utah, and I wish it had been much longer, firstly because there are so many great things to see and do in the area, but also because this is such a nice place to stay. It was the most spacious and comfortable of the 4 VRBO properties we rented, with every comfort and amenity (although as Europeans we find it odd that a house of this size had no outdoor space but there is a huge park just round the corner for the kids to run around in.) The supermarket complex is a five minute walk or 2 minute drive. My husband loved borrowing a bike to ride to Crested Butte, and we all returned by car to explore and hike in the afternoon. Visited the amazing Black Canyon on our way west. We would thoroughly recommend this house and it was a pleasure dealing with the very efficient owner.

We really enjoyed our weekend in Gunnison. Your house was perfect for our needs! The kitchen was really well stocked and so nice and roomy for hanging out in. The bedrooms were really comfortable, nice size and comfy beds. The location was great! We were there for the Growler bike race and it was super easy to get down to the start from the house. My daughter and I had a blast on the cruiser bikes that you have available in the garage!! Thank you so much! We will definately be back!
Owner response:We are delighted you enjoyed your time in our home and look forward to having your family stay again!

We have stayed here twice now. It's a very stylish, new, clean home. It's central to everything in the Gunnison Valley. A great place to stay in both summer or winter. It has everything you need.
