Relax and get lost in yourself by lounging in the hammock on the front deck of this whimsical Key West style waterfront bungalow, situated in the heart of Pass-a-grille's historic district.
The comfortable cottage has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Just bring a toothbrush!
Pass-a-grille is a charming old school Florida Community. It's a bit of a blast from the past. Our location is at the center of the community since it is right next to 8th Ave, which is the 'hub' of this quiet spot.
We take great care to make sure you have all the comforts needed to make a vacation a memorable experience. We're fortunate enough to have acquired many repeat annual guests, we're starting to feel like a huge extended family!
Continually being updated, our 4 bedroom cottage has 2 decks - one that looks at Boca Ciega Bay and a second intimate, secluded, covered porch between home and the garage (loft). A privacy fence surrounds the home. A red aluminum roof makes the cottage quickly identifiable! Original wood floors, a totally remodeled and updated kitchen, romantic fireplace, ceiling fans, central air, cabana striped awnings, bright tropical artwork and furnishings complete the charm of old Florida living with contemporary amenities. Our improvement for 2012 is the new kitchen remodel. New pictures coming soon.

Thank you for letting us use your comfortable home. Always a pleasure. This is the first Christmas my parents have spent in Florida in about 15 years. So many special adventures while we were here, in a familiar, beautiful place to return to at the end of the day. We'll be back! Note from owner: these guests are wonderful, they've celebrated, HS graduations, college graduations, and now Christmas. A great way to celebrate with extended family ...on the beach!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We really loved your beach house. It certainly exceeded our expectations. If we plan to vacation again it'll be here. Unfortunately we had an uninvited guest named Debby. The tornado was frightful but we all were unharmed in your home. Thank you!! Note from owner: These guests were great. They rolled with the punches, electricity down, phone lines, cable lines.... and they still would come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our week at Pass-a-grille has flown by but we will carry great memories of our time at this perfect place for our family. Our boys loved the freedom to check out the fishing at the dock, buy bait, go get some ice cream and all in a safe family environment. They really liked their loft over the garage. Thanks for making our vacation a comfortable and relaxing break.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The pictures do not do this adorable house justice!! The house is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable - in addition, the owner has gone to great lengths to think of everything you might need. The house is already stocked with spices, condiments, shampoo, soap, detergent, paper products - if you need it, it is already there! Which leaves you to buy just the big grocery items your family will use then just re-supply the small stuff. Total money saver!! There are beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, buckets - everything you would need for the beach! The Beach is gorgeous, just one block away with a wonderful adult & kid snack bar, and restrooms. Right across the street is the intercoastal waterway and marina - wake up to beautiful sunrises over the water. Like to fish? Drop the line in across the street and get your bait from the marina or go down to the 1st street jetty. My kids caught 3 trout and 2 flounder - they were big enough for dinner! Like shelling? Take the shuttle from the marina to Shell Key and enjoy a quiet day on a nature reserve island where we found real shells and sand dollars in crystal clear water. Right next door is a fantastic breakfast/lunch place with incredible food and prices. The front of the house is beautifully landscaped and we enjoyed the hammock and oversized chairs. We are a family of 5 and the house could have easily and comfortably accommodated 3 more people. Feel so blessed to have been in such a wonderful spot!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks Michele! We're so glad you had a great experience! Come back next year!! Pat Black

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: Tom and I love to travel, our preferred way to lodge is at VRBO properties. We still like B &B's, Inns and nice hotels! For some reason it always seems like we land on an island.
Why the Owner Chose St. Pete Beach:
We love the area since it reminds us of old Florida, with the old cottages, businesses and cozy friendly environment.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
So incredibly close to the beach! We can watch the happenings at the Merry Pier across the street, watch the dolphin, birds and fishermen from our lifeguard chairs on the front deck. Pass-a-grille is the greatest place to walk your dogs or just to take a walk. After the beach gets boring the sights along the sidewalk is entertaining; old homes, renovated homes and new ones. We are right next to 8th Ave, the historic street, with fun beachy shopping, not the typical tourist stuff. Action, but not too much. Nice place to relax and slow the pace. When you want action, go north of the Don Cesar Hotel and the action begins!!
