We think our home is an ideal rental for an extended family, or two families with small children. Every room has a ceiling fan and central AC is available.
On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bath. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a double/single bunk bed. The main living room/dining and kitchen are on this floor. On the second floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bath. One bedroom has a queen bed and other has 3 twins. The living room on this floor also has a queen fold-out couch.
There are porches and decks both in front and in back and there's a really cool "crow's nest" all the way on top of the house from which you can see the bay and the ocean.

My parents and I own this house together. I live in Utah and spending several weeks with them at our beach house is one of the best ways I know to stay close.
Why the Owner Chose Harvey Cedars
Our family has spent at least a week on LBI for every summer of my life - since 1961! Our family has grown and we wanted a place where we could all stay together. Since we don't use it all season, we want to share it with others.

I stayed in this house in August 2011 for 2 weeks and had the best time! We had a bunch of little kids with us ( and their parents and some grandparents) and the house was so spacious that everyone could spread out and find a quiet place if needed. The backyard was terrific for playing and the street in front is safe and quiet too. I loved the easy walk to everything: the beach, the bay beach, Neptune's for coffee, the ice cream parlor, and fishing off the public dock. The kayak was a nice added bonus! I hope to come back again.

We had a very enjoyable vacation at this house! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and the bay. The "new" beach was absolutely beautiful, and not at all crowded. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen contained all of the comforts of home - including a dish washer. The owners even provided beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and buckets and shovels so we did not have to bring all those items from home. My family's favorite thing about this house was the "crow's nest", which was a porch on the roof. The view from there was wonderful, and it was the perfect place to watch the sunset! We shared the house with another family, and since there are living rooms, a bathroom, and bedrooms on both levels, we never felt crowded. We can't wait to go back next year!!

We had a perfect week in August 2010. It's an ideal house for three generations. Well equipped but nothing too breakable by young children. Its convenient to small stores and restaurants, and, of course, close to both ocean and bay beaches. We enjoyed picking a few tomatoes and beans from the garden and were impressed by many visiting butterflies.

My friends and I stayed in this house for five days, and it was a wonderful weekend. The house was clean, yet lived-in enough to be comfortable. The outdoor shower was great to have and the view from the top deck is spectacular (particularly at sunset). The location is great with the bay and ocean only a block away. I would certainly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great shore experience. Plus there's a Super Nintendo system, and come on now, who doesn't love some classic Mario Bros.?

Had a beautiful week here week of 8/15/09. Very comfortable furniture and beds. Plenty of space for ten of us. Easy walk to beach; beach is beautiful. Great outside shower. Views from upper decks great; especially enjoyed sunsets from top deck. Plenty of beach chairs in good shape. Convenient to walk to market and ice cream stores.

We enjoyed a long weekend at this quaint beach house in Harvey Cedars which is arguably the nicest of the communities along LBI. At it's most narrow point there is a beach block and a bay block. This home is located in this area which made it very convenient for the 6 children of our two families (and the lucky parent) who occasionally needed to run back for a bathroom break! The upstairs and downstairs levels felt private and quietly separate from each other. The dining area inside comfortably seats 6 and two more could eat at the counter. One evening the children dined on their own while the parents dined "al fresco" on the back deck. It was so pleasant we all dined outdoors for the remainder of the weekend. The earliest risers ( the younger group of children) enjoyed playing safely in the back yard and enjoyed this rare freedom. The house is photographed accurately and there were no surprises. There are a few food shops such as Mario's, Foodies and the little market next door (that makes fresh cooked donuts while you wait--- wish I could recall the name) that offered all we needed or neglected to bring. One final note, two neighbors stopped by and asked if we needed anything and others simply smiled and waved as we walked to the beach. Where else can you find that these days?
