Looking west towards the channel. - Onekama, Michigan Vacation Rental Portage Lake, Onekama, Michigan, located 10 miles north of Manistee, is 2100 acres of clean clear water, with deep water access to Lake Michigan. The view from the great room and large front sun room is beautiful. The house sits on 95 feet of lake frontage with approximately 40 feet of sandy beach, the drop off is very gradual, 100 feet off shore it is only about 2 feet deep. There is dock for a small fishing boat, or larger boat for short term tie-up. If you plan to bring your own boat, we have a mooring that you can tie up to a 20' boat. Excellent restaurants, an ice cream shop and stores are within walking distance of this beautiful location. There is a boat ramp and public park with a playground just a few houses away. We require a signed rental agreement to reserve your stay.
