  Lovely, clean, well appointed, nicely decorated, comfortable, well-maintained home. Worth the long drive from Seattle. Secluded but close to amenities, Lake Cushman, and National Park. We will be back!

  We visited Octopus Hole for my boyfriend's birthday and had an amazing weekend. The house is even more beautiful than the photos even in the dead of winter. Booking reservations was a breeze and everything was set up perfectly upon our arrival. Eric (the owner) was so accommodating during our stay. He even called the cable company to special order a football game we were dying to see. We had a perfect weekend and can't wait to return.

  We stayed here for Thanksgiving. What a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful place. Can't say one negative thing---I am a picky traveller!!! Yummy crabs and oysters too!!! Hot tub, fireplace, comfortable beds, what's not to love! This place has it all! Thank you Eric!!!!!!

  We very much enjoyed a quiet, wet weekend at this extremely well-equipped cabin. It was fun to wake up to 8 seals hanging out on the floating dock out in front, and the cabin was a nice short drive to a great rainy hiking near Lake Cushman. The hot tub and rope swing were great! Everything we needed was there, including a fantastic array of kitchen equipment. It would be nice if there were better reading light in the living area (or the bedrooms for that matter - they are quite dim even with reading lamps), and unfortunately the neighbors' fireplace smoke seems to come right down the chimney fairly frequently, which we were unable to remedy, but these are minor distractions and overall it's a very nice retreat. We would love to try it in the summer too.

  Owner response: Thank you very much, and thank you for mentioning the fireplace. On certain windy days, air can come down the chimney making it smell a bit smoky. We are fixing the problem by changing the doors to the fireplace so that cannot happen!

  We used the cabin as our home base during a recent hiking trip to the Olympic National Park. Could not have been more pleased by the comfort and attention to detail during our cabin stay. Beautiful view and lovely decor, comfy beds and linens....all these added up to a fabulous stay. We will definitely recommend your lovely cabin to family and friends!

  What a wonderful place !! We stayed from 7/22 to 7/28/12 with three boys ages 7,6,and 4 and absolutely loved it. Beside the all you can eat oysters, we had fun digging for clam, crabbing, and swimming. We also rented a motorboat to go around the canal and it was fun. Beautiful places to visit around the area: Stair case and Hurrican Ridge...We are bringing a troop back next time ^_^. The owners were super nice. Thank you for letting us borrow the shovel for diggin clams, dinggy and the crab pots and also the tips on how to use them. We caught 2 on Monday, 5 on Thursday and 7 on Friday ;-) The boys also loved the rope swings...

  What an excellent set up for a family reunion. Plenty to do and see. Having two cabins allows the kids and the adults separate space.

  These houses are awesome. There is lots of room and everything is newly remodeled. We had a great time again. The crabbing was great and the kids loved swinging off the rope into the water along with some adults. My whole family could not say enough good things about your places.   We had a family birthday party gathering for 4 days/nights at Hood Canal. We rented both cabins. The property is exceptional! Everything was so well organized, neat, clean, comfortable and better than we visualized and even better than advertised. The beach is gorgeous. There was ample parking for our cars. The main cabin has a huge deck opening right onto the beach at high tide. The hot tub was clean and very useful with complete directions as to how to keep it clean. The kitchens were well-stocked with every kind of utensil. Each cabin had an ample supply of towels ---both beach and bath towels. The Weber barbecue's on the decks were wonderful for summer grilling and for grilling oysters. We will definitely come back. A real find for us!

  Amazing place for big or mini vacation or get away! the main cabin and the cottage are soooooo clean and cozy they are warm and inviting ! The beds, pillows and all the furnitures just like it advertise. We love the water view, Oysters harvesting, clams diggin and best of all the soaking in the hot tub..... would love to come back again during the Summer time and reccommend this place to everyone I know...:) thank you!!!
