Large Beautiful Log Home in East Glacier Park
If you want to be in trees and at the northern edge of the village of East Glacier Park, but if you also want to be walking distance from the restaurants, the shops, the Glacier Park Lodge, and the golf course, then this is the home for you.
Located adjacent to the ninth green of the Glacier Park Lodge Golf Course, in the village of East Glacier, this 2300 square foot log home is the perfect retreat for small or large families and groups.
This new log home faces the Rocky Mountains and features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a large great room/living room with a fireplace, 27-foot ceilings, and grand picture windows, allowing guests to enjoy the incredible views. There is also a large loft, an open, fully equipped kitchen with bar seating and a dining area, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
Outside there is a large yard, and a deck encircles the front of the house. The deck, with the gas grill and two large picnic tables, is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing and taking in the panoramic views. The large grass front lawn is perfect for volleyball and whiffle ball, croquet, horse shoes, and other summer activities.
The master bedroom has a queen bed. One upstairs bedroom has two double beds. The second upstairs bedroom has one double bed. There are two single beds in the loft. The house comfortably sleeps 10 in beds; however there is plenty of floor space in the loft for sleeping bags.
Located in the town of East Glacier, many restaurants, shops, and the historic Glacier Park Lodge are within walking distance. All of the activities of Glacier National Park are right at your doorstep, including hiking on Glacier’s 1000 miles of trails, sightseeing, fishing, rafting, kayaking, and horseback riding. The entrance to Glacier National Park is only 6 miles away and the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road is only 32 miles away. In the winter, guests can enjoy cross-country skiing, sledding, and ice fishing. Also for those nights indoors by the fireplace, take advantage of the book and video library or the collection of board games. There are two TVs with VCR/DVD players.
And don’t forget the golf. The Glacier Park Lodge Golf Course, the oldest in Montana, is a nine hole gem. As it winds through the aspen and tall fescue, it features magnificent views of Glacier Park to the West, and the Montana grasslands to the East. And the ninth green ends at your front yard, inviting you to come and relax on the deck with a cool beverage, after a great round of golf.

What a beautiful home, the view was phenomenal. The house was clean and everything advertised was as is. The village of East Glacier Park was charming and the people were all friendly and helpful. This was our first trip out west as a family and we traveled with 8 other people with a total of 4 kids. Everyone had an absolutely wonderful time and we are grateful to have had this home to stay in. I would highly recommend this home to other larger groups traveling to Glacier. Thank you again and we look forward to staying there again!!

My family enjoyed our stay in this home in mid-July. It is a very beautiful area. We were there for 3 days and traveled in Glacier Park. The home is nicely furnished and equipped, and is convenient to resturants and the horseback riding. Our kids were planning on swimming though, and we found that no public swimming is available. Also, no one could connect to the internet as mentioned under communications. There is only one picnic table, and the grill had recently been used, but not cleaned. Overall, we would recommend this home for a large family, since there is plenty of room.

We had four adults, and needed three bedrooms for our six night stay in Glacier. Jon and Terry worked very hard to arrange for the dates we needed, and they were correct, all we needed to bring was our food. It was very convenient having breakfast and some dinners at the house. Glacier Lodge and the train station were not far away, and we were able to take 2 Red Bus tours, and 2 Boat tours with hikes. Sitting on the large deck and enjoying the view was an added bonus. We hope to return again and enjoy your beautiful and well maintained log house.

This home was exactly as described! What a great place to stay with family - lots of room, great gathering places, an amazing view of the mountains, and even horses that ran by the horse each morning! Owners were most accomodating of any request that we made, and helped by picking us up at the train station. There was even a car rental agency right down the street, so rather than take the pricey tours, we got a map and information from the property manager at the connected Mountain Pine Motel and went to the places they suggested - and were very pleased with our experiences. The small, friendly restaurants in the area served amazing food, and we had access to the small grocery store in town as well. We would most definitely recommend this home to anyone planning to stay in the area to enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains in deluxe accomodations!
Owner response:Jenny, I read your review of my home In East Glacier, and I want to say thank you for the good words. I now live in California, but I grew up in Montana, and so I love to return to my home and it is easy for me to say that the view is great and my home is a "great place to stay." But when someone who just happens to rent my home for a few days, has a positive experience, that surely makes me feel good. If you ever return, you are surely welcome at my home again. Thank you.
