You don’t have to go far to find a secluded family getaway on the McCoy tidal creek just off the Sapelo River. Situated on three acres between Eulonia and Shellman Bluff (2 miles from Pine Harbor), our spacious 3 bedroom cabin boasts all the old fashioned pleasures of the Southern outdoors with the modern conveniences of home. Drop your boat in at Pine Harbor or Shellman Bluff and dock right at our doorstep.

Spend your mornings sipping coffee in the screened in summer kitchen, spend your days crabbing and fishing off the dock, relax on the 1500 square foot wrap around deck overlooking the marsh, and slip into nightfall enjoying the host of stars by the outdoor fire pit. From May to October, you’ll love lounging by the pool. One king, one queen and two twins, with extra single beds and air mattresses to sleep from 6-10.

35 miles south of Savannah International Airport, 40 miles north of St. Simons Island, and 95 miles north of Jacksonville, FL, a simpler life awaits you.

  • Our cabin features a 1500 ft wrap around deck that provides awesome views of the McCoy tidal creek and surrounding marsh. If you drop in at Shellman or Pine Harbor, you can drive your boat up to our dock. Your children will love to fish and crab right off the dock.

  • Hi, there are 8 of us that goes on a vacation every year,this year we chose to go the Tanya & Kevins cabin ,we go just to relax and catch up on each othersand there familys, which we did ,it is a very lovely home and you really do feel at home there.We didn't use the pool but it was very pretty ,it was a little cold.We sat out on the deck every morning and enjoyed the veiw ,the birds and any wild life that might come out. .If you want to get away from the big city life this is the place for you. We Loved it Thanks Tanya

    We had a great time. The kids had all the movies they could possibly watch during their down and quite times. And the fishing was phenominal. We ate Big Blue crabs , Trout, and a 20 oz London broil grilled to perfection. All were caught out of the larger creeks except the London broil. That was Saturday night...We paid visit to Chef Jerome friday night and had a great time at the "Old School House Diner". Thanks for opening your vacation house to us, we look forward to next time. PS: Feel free to cut and paste this to the guest book...

  • The setting for this cottage is gorgeous. The tidal creek is fun to kayak or canoe and just sitting down on the dock is a pleasure. The cabin is very comfortably furnished -- plenty of sitting room, more than enough dishes and flatware, etc. There is a very nice screened enclosure for eating out on the deck -- it is covered and we sat out there through a light rain without getting wet. When it was hot, we just hung out in the pool. Highly recommended. It is near the Harris Neck Wildflie Refuge - a great place to watch birds and take walks.

  • We stayed in th ehouse for three days and we didn't want to leave. So beautiful and peaceful. Canoe rides through the marsh were great. The house was well-eqipped with all the conveniences of home. We highly recomend it!

  • We spent 3 nights at Tanya and Kevin's cabin. This was a fantastic getaway!! The scenery is beautiful and extremely peaceful. If you want to get away from the crowds this is the place to go. Our 2 girls had a great time as well fishing and crabbing off the dock. We also enjoyed canoeing the tidal creek. On our second day we drove to Savannah and toured the historic district.(It is a gorgeous city!) On our last night we boiled blue crabs, made a camp fire, and roasted marshmellows!! We hope to return and take in a little more fishing on our next trip to the area. This was a great experience! Tom and Penny

  • We rent vacation rentals thru out the U.S. and found this rental to be as described. The owners were very professional. The property very well stocked with essentials. The azaleas were in bloom and breath taking. We really enjoyed this vacation rental and plan to book again in the near future.

  • We spent five days and four nights in this comfortable “cabin” near Shellman Bluff, Georgia. The great location allowed us to explore Shellman Bluff, Harris Neck Reserve, and Darien, a quaint fishing community, where we were impressed with the beauty of Georgia’s coastal regions. Savannah, Sapelo Island, and St. Simons Island are all located close by making it easy to take day trips and return in the evening to the comfort of a peaceful home. The fisherman in our group put their boat in at Pine Harbor and had a great time trying to catch some fish. The house has a wonderfully stocked kitchen which made cooking easy. There is even a gas grill in the summer kitchen (so cool!) which we used one night. The area is also surrounded by restaurants which are famous for the wonderful Georgia shrimp. It was cold when we were there, so we really enjoyed the gas fireplace! Thanks to Tanya and Kevin for sharing their “Family Retreat” with us! Laura Stephens Orlando, Florida

  • The house and land are lovely. The pool was perfect for the kids. We spent a lot of time on the deck. We live by Atlanta and I had forgotten there were so many stars in the sky. We brought our own casting net and couldn't believe how many shrimp we caught right off the dock! We used the canoe to explore the tidal creeks and it was great! The kids brought along their nets and loved being so close to nature. We even caught a little puffer fish. (Don't worry, we put him back.) The firepit outside was a great place to roast marshmallows at night. (And after the kids went to sleep, have a glass of wine...) I'm not sure what else I should say... The beds were comfortable and all the appliances worked. The cabin (it's really more of a house!) is secluded but not so far away from things that we couldn't run over to the Piggly Wiggly for more groceries when we needed them. We just had a really great time. The kids loved it, the adults got to relax and hang out and laugh... Thank you so much.
