Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Our family lives in Atlanta, but we've been visiting Hilton Head for 25 years, always in the Forest Beach area. Our daughter has grown up enjoying the sand and ocean of the island, and we feel likes it's our home away from home. In 2007, we were lucky enough to get our own beach house, and set to work to turn it into an airy and relaxing retreat.
Why the Owner Chose Hilton Head Cabanas:
We love the quaint shops and restaurants of Coligny within walking distance, running, biking and rollerblading on the path outside our door, and the short hop across the street to the beach and ocean. We also love being less than a mile from Sea Pines, where we visit the Harbor Town marina, and take out annual family photo enjoying an afternoon at the Salty Dog Cafe.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Unlike some of the Cabanas, ours has a washer and dryer in our unit, so it's easy to keep up with all the beach towels and bathing suits. While the pool is right around the corner out back, our patio is in a quiet corner, with more privacy when you grill and relax outside. When renovating, we tried to think of every convenience you need while at the beach -- plenty of hooks for wet towels, everything you need to cook seafood or grill and to mix your favorite cocktail, beach books -- all the little things that add up to a fun and relaxing vacation.
