Twin Gables Cottage is located in the heart of Sarasota Florida, just a couple of blocks from Sarasota Bay in the historic "West of Trail" neighborhood of Bungalow Hill. The cottage is peacefully situated in a neighborhood known for its quaint, tree lined streets, yet just a few minutes walk or bike ride to the Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota Bayfront Park and all the amenities of downtown Sarasota. The beach on Siesta Key, rated top ten in the country by Travel Channel, is a short car ride away. Other readily accessible cultural amenities include the Ringling Museum and the Sarasota Opera. Plus, spring training, Major League Baseball!
After a day at the beach, enjoy a drink on the front porch of Twin Gables Cottage, built in 1925 in the Gothic Revival style. Recently fully renovated, Twin Gables combines the best of old and new, including a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliance. Tastefully decorated with original art and comfortably furnished, Twin Gables Cottage contains three spacious bedrooms and two full baths. The living room boasts a 1920's period fireplace. The dining room has original double sided bookcases. Glimmering cherry wood floors and high ceilings run through the living, dining and kitchen with tile in the laundry and first floor bath. Two sets of French doors lead to the ample front porch. The oversized backyard patio with dining for six, is nestled under several large shade trees. The second floor is fully carpeted. As the sun goes down, stroll to Bayfront Park to catch the magnificent sunsets, then head to the restaurants and shops on Main Street or venture further within West of Trail to the boutiques and eateries near Morton's Market.

When I am not busy managing Twin Gables or Many Castles I am swimming or practicing Yoga. I enjoy cooking, riding my bike to the beach and searching for "Treasure" in local Thrift and Antique stores.
Why the Owner Chose Sarasota
Twin Gables Cottage is the perfect counterpoint to Many Castles on Nantucket Island. Sarasota is an exciting, vibrant city rich in the Arts. Plus the Bay has wonderful Sailing! I am continually amazed by all the activities available in Sarasota: Art, Opera, Triathlons, Festivals, Antiques, Galleries, Restaurants the list goes on and on.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Twin Gables is located on a dead end street near Hudson's Bayou, just a short walk to down town Sarasota. We love our lush private street and location close to all the fun of Sarasota. Our favorite thing to do is sit on the front porch, day or night and enjoy the breeze off the bay. In the winter I open both sets of French doors to allow the breeze to flow throughout Twin Gables Cottage! It's also fun to ride bikes or walk around the neighborhood checking out all the interesting properties in our Historic neighborhood.
