This large, open, fully furnished and well-stocked family home is located on a large wooded lot on a quiet, dead-end road. It features a 48-foot deck and private balconies from the two master bedroom suites that face Namskaket Creek Marsh and Cape Cod Bay.
The two-story home can accommodate 10 people and is built for use by large families or two sharing families. It has two master bedroom suites with full baths and a sitting room in between, with a 35-inch TV, DVD and VCR players. A third large bedroom with a queen bed and two twins, bath and loft are at the other end of the house. A fourth bedroom with a king bed and bath are on the first floor. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan.
Featured is a large great room with a fireplace, built-in cabinets full of games and toys, a 35-inch TV, DVD and VCR players, audio system and dining table with 6 chairs. With another large dining table and 8 chairs in the dining room, there is room for both an adult meal and a children’s table at the same time.
Secure high speed internet is provided throughout the house.
For beach-goers, there is a very private, enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a foot-washer.
The views from Namskaket Marsh, which fills with the tide changes twice a day, provides an ever-changing daily scene. Bring binoculars, for there is an abundance of wildlife on the marsh and surrounding woods (ducks, geese, heron, hawks, deer, coyotes, foxes, rabbits), particularly at dawn.
Skaket Beach is an easy .9 mile jaunt past the 5-star Captain Linnell House restaurant. The beach there is perfect for children, particularly when the tide is out and you can walk for hundreds of yards before reaching the water’s edge. It is not unusual to find tiny fish and assorted other sea life in the low-tide rivulets. Occasionally a sand-sculpture artist works at the beach and every now and then stunt-kite fliers show up.
For pounding surf, Nauset Beach cannot be beat and is only a short ride away. A charter fishing fleet is located in Rock Harbor, just up the bay coast from Skaket Beach. An extensive bike trail is about a mile away.
Orleans is the ideal Cape Cod location, for it is right in the heart of the Lower Cape, with Provincetown at one end and Sandwich at the other end, each about 35 miles away.
