We (4 forty-something gals) truly enjoyed our stay! Upon arrival we met with Tom (the caretaker) who was wonderful and showed us around the house. The house is wonderful and has everything you could possibly want/need. Kitchen amenities were above and beyond for a rental home. Location was perfect... very close to restaurants, shopping and airport. We spent almost all of our time outside, fantastic outdoor space. Unfortunately did not take advantage of the fire pit as it was VERY HOT during our stay but very beautiful. The outdoor shower is a plus! Definitely would stay again. Thank you!!!

Wonderful Vacation Property

We have rented this house twice now (we are a family with two small children). The house is bright, stylishly decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We spent most of our time in the beautifully landscaped backyard. The pool is great and there are ample patio and lounge chairs, including under a shaded porch. The owner and the property manager are friendly and responsive. The location is great - a 5 min. drive to the shops and restaurants on Palm Canyon Drive. There are many fun things to do with kids in the area. We visited the Living Zoo, the Palm Springs Air Museum and Joshua Tree National Park. We highly recommend it.

Enjoyed desert heat in the 90's and a cool pool was blessed relief Felt totally private and apart from the odd take off and landing (usually mid morning) there was nothing to disturb the peace and feeling of seclusion. I felt at home immediately. Great pool, great decor, plenty of towels for indoor and out.

Great Girl's Weekend!

My girlfriends and I just returned from a weekend stay here. We are all moms and needed a relaxing, quiet break! It was perfect. The house is decorated beautifully. It is modern yet cozy. The pool is beautiful and the first night we swam late at night and were floating on our backs gazing at the stars! There were 6 of us and each shared beds. It was still incredibly comfortable. We spent most of our time in the backyard where the fountain and firepit were going. We drank wine out on the patio at night and had a beautiful experience. Kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need. We saved a ton of money because we bought our groceries and cooked every meal except dinners. We felt safe, secure and pampered. You must go!!!

Great Palm Springs Getaway

We rented this property in mid-September and had a wonderful time. The house is exactly as-advertised - and more. We were surprised to find a fountain water feature and gas fire pit when we arrived. The pool was great and the kitchen was stocked far better than we expected. We will definitely hope to stay here again on a future visit to Palm Springs.

I went up here last weekend with 5 of my girlfriends and it could not have been more perfect! The house is GORGEOUS! The pictures really don't do it justice. We lounged in the pool (there are some particularly comfortable float-y mats) and in all the various lounge areas in the house. It's also conveniently located close (2 miles or so) to downtown. It was just an all around fun, relaxing weekend. I think my favorite part was the out door shower. I took one every day and it was liberating :) The only downside was there were flies everywhere-- but that could just be the area. All in all, I highly recommend to anyone and can not wait to come back!

Spent a week here in July. Loved every minute of my stay and everything about the experience. James (the owner) was very helpful and professional from start to finish. The house is fantastic! Even better than I expected. Very clean, bright, gorgeous views, cool mod-design and decor. Has everything you need... plenty of parking, tons of towels, fully stocked kitchen, great a/c system, comfortable beds, flat screens in living room and master, outdoor barbecue. Backyard/pool area is heavenly! Very tranquil and wonderfully landscaped. Beautiful rock waterfall and awesome fire-pit. Pool is huge! Spent most of the time floating on the awesome pool floaties. Big, comfy, shaded outside seating area. Lovely outdoor shower off master. House is perfectly located in a nice, quiet neighborhood just a couple of minutes from downtown Palm Springs. Can't say enough great things about this house. I didn't want to leave... and I will definitely be back!

We stayed a week for our summer vacation. And we enjoyed this house (was a stylish, very clean and well maintained) so much. The house was definately best place to visit and stay in Palm Springs. We had so much fun in the pool, BBQ in the garden and what we liked the best was outside shower during sunset! It was like a dream house. Owner and property management poeple were very nice as well. We definately would like to come back again!!

We were 4 adults, 2 preschoolers, a baby and 2 dogs, and each of us had a great time here. We spent most of our trip by the pool because the backyard had everything we wanted. The pool was nice and warm, the waterfall had the kids mesmerized, and there were so many places to just lounge and relax. There was also a wall of trees around the entire perimeter making it extremely private, and it was so quiet and peaceful. The interior was beautiful and surprisingly kid friendly. OH, I have to mention how comfortable the bed in the master was!! I slept better than at home! James was great, and so were Tom and Todd. Overall, a great rental experience.

We stayed here for a second time during the first weekend of June. Our first time was with another couple and our dogs. This time it was just my husband and I with our little pooch. Loved it the first time, loved it even more the second time. The best thing about this house is that the backyard is completely walled-in and private. That's really important to us because our dog can be a little escape artist. We have complete peace of mind that he is safe while we are floating around in the pool. Also, you cannot "feel" the neighbors at all. The pool is on the larger side compared to other PS home pools. The pool is relaxing in itself but the sound from the rock waterfall feature just adds to the ambiance to make for a true resort feel. The fire pit is gorgeous right next to the waterfall. We enjoyed drinking wine while sitting around the fire. North PS does get windy starting in the evenings but we actually enjoy the desert wind and the sounds it makes as it dances around the palm trees. The landscape is well done as well as the lighting. We really enjoy eating outside on the outdoor dining table as well as hanging out on the beautiful, modern outdoor lounge furniture. Both times the house has been really clean and tidy. Plenty of towels. Check in was a breeze. The kitchen is well equipped. We highly recommend this house.

Everything about our stay from the time of booking our reservation to the time we left the house was smooth, relaxing and fun. James' home was a home away from home for us (my husband and I, grandma, our 2 young daughters and the family pooch). The house is clean, airy, bright and homey. We had six of us head down to Palm Springs and this was a perfect place to stay. The home was stunning and extremely clean! The pool was a perfect way to beat the heat as we loved our daily morning floats in the pool. There are 3 bedrooms - all of which can easily sleep two people. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we had absolutely no problems checking in/out. If I ever head back to Palms Springs, I'd definitely stay here again!

My girlfriends and I rented this house for a girls weekend and it was great! The house was very clean and had great style! The only thing wrong with our vacation is that we didn't stay long enough! I had reunion with college friends from Ohio and Maine and rented the house as a surprise for them. The house is so wonderful you can hardly tear yourself away (we did manage to make it Joshua Tree). We cooked on the grill and ate by the pool, tried the fireplace... stayed up late, never even turned on the TV. The Alexander Butterfly design makes it so you can see the mountains even when you are looking in the bathroom mirror. Great floats for the pool. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Just returned from celebrating our 12 year wedding anniversary at this lovely home in Palm Springs. The house is pretty much as described in all other reviews. It's a wonderfully restored and maintained mid-century modern with a great private yard and pool. The outdoor shower just out the door from the Master Bath was a highlight for me. Extremely professional and courteous management from both the owner and care taker make the whole process extremely smooth and efficient. Highly recommended.

I stayed in this house for the month of January 2011. The house is beautiful, very cool (in the hip cool sense), very easy to live in, quiet and comfortable. It looks at least as good as the photos. The open kitchen/dining/living area that opens right out to the pool and patio is a great spot to hang out in. I wish I could move in. The owner is very professional, very accommodating, great to work with. No downsides to this house.

Excellent Vacation Home

My friends and I just returned from here & we had a great time. The house was beautiful and the back yard was where we spent most of our time. All three rooms had great views of the mountain from the high windows. The fire pit was a great place to see the mountain as well. James and the caretaker, Tom, were very professional, courteous and helpful. The glass fireplace was cool, the pool was warm, the waterfall was soothing, and the fire pit was a nice place for drinks. None of us wanted to leave! The backyard also had high fences and felt very private. The kitchen was well stocked with nice plate ware, utensils, martini glasses, even sushi service plates. the beds were soft (but not TOO soft) and they had plenty of extra blankets and towels and a washer/dryer. I look forward to coming here again, next time for a longer stay. I was concerned about the sizable deposit. We followed the checkout instructions in the folder and had the deposit back via Paypal before I even arrived home. Thanks for sharing your great house!

Fun in the sun

I stayed at Racquet Club Estates with my little daughter for 2 weeks and we had a great time. I can only say good things about it. It felt like home as soon as we got there. The house is very clean and has everything you need and more. One of my favorite things was the Koi pond as the sound of the waterfall was sooo relaxing. The pool is nice and big and we used the comfy outside sitting area a lot. James or Tom were available for questions at any time. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying there again myself. It was a wonderful experience.

Let me start off by saying the pictures do not do this place justice! This house is so beautifully designed from both the inside out! The owners have made this home feel as though it is your own. It’s a home away from home. Once you get there you do not want to leave. All the amenities you need are within the house. It was so peaceful and serene and I loved everything about it. -house is more beautiful in person, landscaping was gorgeous as the koi pond and waterfalls -the house was cleaner than expected, wasn't afraid to have our little ones cruising around -owner was consistently responsive in all queries about the property and more than helpful -i would recommend this to friends and relatives, actually i already have! -downtown is not far and we usually stay at the viceroy or the ace, which has good food/drinks but honestly this was a fun change being able to barbeque our own food and mix our own drinks. we went with friends of ours and it was a great stay. we took the kids to knott's soak city on friday for water slides and sunday after leaving, we went to the childrens desert museum, which is great for them

This was relaxation at it's best. Next time we will stay longer. We had 3 grandchildren with us and there was something for everyone. The privacy is perfect. The landscape is beautifully 'done' and the decor is 'model'. Next time I will come with adults!! The owner has thought of everything.

We stayed at this gorgeous house for three nights and four days. The house was very clean, comfortable and chic. You could tell that there was a lot of love put into its every detail. The pool was heated and the yard was very well maintained. We used the BBQ a few times and spent most of the time outside, enjoying the beautiful back yard. Because of the location of the house, there was always a cool breeze which felt absolutely wonderful. James and Tom, the two people I dealt with regarding the house, were both very friendly and responsive and it was a pleasure doing work with them both. If you get a chance to stay at this house, don’t think about it twice. You’ll have a wonderful time.

We spent a wonderful time at this beautifully renovated home. Everything was better than the photos depict. We spent most of the day in the pool, had cocktails in the lounge, grilled diner on the BBQ, ate indoors and outdoors, made smores at the fire pit. This is an outstanding place. Very bright, open floor plan & cheery - It captures the Palm Springs experience. The mid-century modern style is wonderful - AND COMFORTABLE. I often find mid-century modern to remind me of my childhood (wondering why anyone would want that!) This is mid-century modern with an updated flair...GREAT PLACE. POOL- Fantastic - VIEWS - spectacular. Very close to the heart of PS. The owners are a joy to deal with. We have rented several times and will continue to! Price is very affordable compared to others of this caliber.

We just returned to Minnesota after a two month stay and would highly recommend this property. The home is well maintained and decorated tastefully in the decor of the 50's. We were very comforable for the extended stay.The house was very clean, well furnished and and had everything we needed for our stay. The back yard is better than pictures can convey. It is simply outstanding with a large swimming pool, great landscaping, including a spectacular waterfall and koi pond. We found the property owner to be very attentive to the details, communicated quickly with a style that reflected concern for superior customer service. This is a good location, close to the downtown area. The Ruth Hardy Park is very close by and has extensive facilities for tennis and basketball courts. We often take extended trips in the wintertime and this was one of our most enjoyable stays.

This house was the perfect get-away for my party of six. We felt like we were at our own private resort. The waterfall and koi pond are beautiful and we loved cocktails hour around the outdoor firepit. This house had everything and the owner was great to work with. Just bring your shaving/makeup kit. I highly recommend this house and cannot wait to enjoy it again. By far, it's been the best Palm Springs house we've stayed in. The perfect marriage of sophisticated modern and clean comfort. Loved the pool and being able to access the master bath from the backyard. The koi pond waterfall was no joke...absolutely amazing! Used the bbq for every meal. Loved the fireplace and each bedroom was relaxing and clean. This house is just better in person and better than my attempt at trying to articulate how amazing it is. You will not regret going with house...you'll just be as sad as I was to leave it.

Terrific house and great people to work with; both owner and property managers. Previous comments are right on the mark. The design touches are accurate to the period and really remarkable. For example, note that if you leave the bathroom door open in the master bedroom you can see the reflection of the San Jacinto mountains through the clerestory windows as you lay in bed. A great place to stay.

Just home from a fabulous long weekend and wishing we were still there. Three couples shared the house for the Coachella Music Festival. The house is just as good as the pictures if not better. It has a sparkling pool and lanai with a soothing waterfall and koi pond and a killer outdoor rain shower. The beds are wonderful and there are lots of fluffy towels. The kitchen is well equipped, the chef among us managed a multi course dinner with our bounty from the farmer's market. The location is excellent for easy access to downtown and the interstate for exploring the desert. This house has all the style and comfort of a boutique hotel with tons more space and privacy and a much more reasonable rate. The owner and his property managers are a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive to questions and requests. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a mid-century getaway.
