“The Nest” Guesthouse is quite like an Eagles Nest perched on the edge of the high bluff overlooking the ocean down below. Sitting on a nearly 3 acre lot at the end a quiet road, it's unobstructed view watches the puff of a whales blow hole, rafts of sea otters and fishing boats catching Kings Salmon and Halibut down below in Kachemak Bay and the Lower Cook Inlet. It's view extends from the shores near Seldovia to Mt. Redoubt including the expanse of Mountains and Volcanoes that make up the Alaskan Ring of Fire.
It occasionally catches a glimpse of a lynx, black bear, coyote or a moose and on a daily basis enjoys the company of playful ravens, soaring eagles, hawks, and strutting cranes and pheasants.
the Nest is a 1200 square foot 3-bedroom/2 bath house that can easily accommodate 6 people but cozy enough for 2. It's open floor plan is a comfortable place for friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company.
"The Nest" is complete in every way with a washer & dryer and a full kitchen loaded with all the appliances, pots, pans, utensils and staple foods. Each bedroom has an incredible view and can sleep either 2 singles or 1 couple.
It is adorned with warm custom furnishings, butcher-block counter tops, and beautifully painted and decorated rooms. With a wrap-around deck you can use the Weber grill to cook up some freshly caught fish or just sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Chris & Daniel, The Nest was Fantastic! It ws the perfect place for our Alaskan fishing adventure. The views alone are worth the trip, but the house is really special too. We've never stayed in such a well stocked home, it really is a nice touch. Daniel worked us prestty hard on the boat but the results were definitely worth it. Yowza! Fantastic! What a great place for a fun weekend getaway for A-town. We will get back and we'll bring friends. Not so far away from Homer that it's a pain but far enough to be "away from it all". The view is "Million Dollar" for sure, the house cozy and welcoming. You've got quite the set up. I love it. Where to begin- Awesome, beautiful, majestic, ocean, wildlife and the midnight sun. WOW! Everything was great. You have a beautiful home, family and dog. Our stay was the best ever. My mom, sister, daughter and myself fell in love with "The Nest" as soon as we walked in the door. It is everything and more than described. It had everything we needed, was very clean, homey feeling and the beds were wonderful. The view from every window was absolutely beautiful. Chris is a wonderful hostess and she and Daniel have done a super job of making this such an enjoyable place to stay. I definitely want to return when I can stay longer.
