Newly built cabin completed Jan 2008. Grill a steak on the open deck while overlooking little Bear Lake, relax in the hot tub on the back screened porch, or snuggle under a soft comforter in front of one of two fireplaces. Play a game of pool on the new full size slate bed pool table in front of the terrace level fireplace while you and your friends watch the game on the wall mounted Satellite TV. The open floor plan and bright all wood finished interior will instantly set the mood for a slower pace we call "Mountain Time."

This area is famous for cross county cycling, the annual Tour De Georgia passes nearby. There are many marked mountain bike trails within 5 minuets of the cabin. Hiking on the numerous marked trails lead to breathtaking mountain vistas. Carter's lake nearby offers pontoon rentals. Fort Mountain State Park offers swimming & sunning on sandy beach, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, paddle boat rentals, covered picnicking, BOATING and hiking. No visit is complete with out visiting the mysterious ancient rock wall that gives the Park and this areas its name.

  • WOW,What a wonderful place to stay. We had the time of our lives. The accomodations at the cabin we're awesome. The property owners we're there to accomodate our every need. WE loved the hot tub and the pool table. We enjoyed swimming at the state park just 3 miles down the mountain. We even went horseback riding at the fort mountain stables located at the foot of the mountain. We traveled through the mountain to Elijay and on to Blue ridge to a historical train ride to McCaysville where some of us enjoyed the shopping and others took on the Ocee river to whitewater raft. I recommend this cabin to all. We had 6 in our party and could have easily had 8 comfortably. The owners truely were a blessing. Thanks Tony & Donna for all your help.

  • Thank you Tony and Donna for making your cabin available. We and our friends had plenty of room to spread out and relax and catch up on four years of old news. Walking around the community was delightful and our brushes with nature were entertaining (we came upon two snapping turtles laying eggs). The surprises we had were all good. We are already considering another trip to Fort Mt. Again, thank you.

  • We stayed in this lovely cabin in April of 2008 and enjoyed the two of us enjoyed it very much. It is a very nice weekend getaway for two but I am also planning to bring a group of girl friends to visit for a girl's weekend. It is peaceful and quite and a perfect location to reflect and refuel. Gorgeous setting and close to the park, and all that North West Georgia has to offer. I know I will be back!

  • The owners have given great care planning this lovely cabin for vacationers.Everything needed is provided. We took our grown married children, the granddaughter and 2 almost human dogs for a long weekend. We all enjoyed the hot tub,large screen porch, pool table and nature trails. Great family bonding. When we visited the near-by Ft. Mt. state park for more hiking we saw a very large black bear, that was a thrill for all.

  • This is a beautiful place for relaxing. There were eight of us (teens and adults) and there was plenty of space. The kids enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub especially. The view was great, and we all enjoyed how close the park was. The owner was very helpful and attentive. We would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay with lots of room!

  • We rented in Sept. 08 for a weekend and had an excellent experience. We wished we had stayed longer. The cabin was great, roomy and had everything we needed. We had several families and never felt crowded with the layoout of the cabin. The screen porch was wonderful. If we are ever in that area again we would rent this cabin.

  • This is a wonderful property. My husband and I have stayed in this area many times before, but none of the places we've stayed previously compared to this property. It is so cozy and comfortable and one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed - anywhere!! And I'm extremely particular about cleanliness. Not only that, but it is very conveniently located without a lot of treacherous back roads to travel. The kitchen is very well stocked and the pool table,hot tub, satellite TV and relaxation music make for all the entertainment you need. I highly recommend this property!!
