This home in Dollar Point is a perfect family vacation retreat. It is a wonderful place to spend quality time with your friends and family. The home is bright, clean and newly remodeled. The entire upper floor has high ceilings with an abundance of windows for views and light. Two large decks offer filtered lake views and southern exposure that make spending time outdoors comfortable, even in winter. The lower deck opens up directly to the large back yard. This home allows you to soak up the natural beauty of Tahoe, while providing the luxurious appointments that make your stay comfortable.
The home consists of two levels, with the two-car garage connected to the upper level by a covered breezeway. The master bedroom and bath is located on the upper level along with the kitchen, dining room, 1/2 bathroom and living room. The lower level includes 4 bedrooms and a central family room. One of the features we like best about this home is that there are two separate areas to hang out. Often times we have the kids downstairs playing their games and watching their shows, with the adults upstairs. The home easily accommodates two families and potentially three depending on the size of the families.
The master bedroom features a Cal King bed with filtered lake views and direct access to the upper deck. Three of the four bedrooms downstairs have queen beds. The fifth bedroom has twin bunk beds. A sleeper sofa is available in the living room.
The home was completely remodeled in 2007 from top to bottom in a sophisticated yet rustic style using top quality materials. The home features hickory floors throughout the upper level, slate floors in the bathrooms and entry, natural handcrafted doors and interior wood trim. The downstairs is carpeted for comfort. The kitchen is equipped with hickory cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, and granite counters. The master bathroom features include heated floors and a natural travertine enclosed shower.
Exterior features include a very large upper deck accessible from the kitchen and living room. The upper deck includes a gas BBQ, chairs and seating for outdoor meals in the summer. There is a separate lower deck accessible from two of the downstairs bedrooms. The lower deck offers direct access to the large backyard. A private hot tub is also located on the lower deck. Filtered lake views are available from both decks. The backyard accommodates croquet, badminton and other outdoor games and is a great snow playground during the winter.
The house has many modern features to keep you entertained. The living room has a plasma flat screen TV with Onkyo Home Theater system with cable TV. The system powers speakers on the upper deck. The home theater supports DVD, CD, VCR and MP3. The master bedroom features a flat screen TV. There is a TV/DVD/VCR in the family room, with a Game Cube and an assortment of games. The house has a computer available for guest user with high speed internet access. We also provide a wireless modem so you can connect anywhere in the house using your own computer.
The house is a member of the Dollar Point Homeowners association. This provides access to the Pool, Tennis Courts and Beach/Pier.

Why the Owner Chose Dollar Point
Lake Tahoe is a one of a kind location. It is equally desireable in both the winter and the summer. Our family loves the outdoors, and there are many things to do during both seasons. The Dollar Point neighborhood is one of the best on the entire lake. The facilities are top notch, and the entire development is on the lake side of the highway. The location easy to access, and relatively close enought to Tahoe City for shopping, resturants, etc.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We have a large extended family, and the home allows us to invite multiple families to join us. The large lawn and decks make summer time especially enjoyable. The adults enjoy being outside on the upper deck with the lake views and sunshine. The kids play games outside and just enjoy themselves at the pool, tennis courts, beach, etc. The also enjoy boating on the lake.

My wife and I were both and raised in northern California. Most of our extended families and friends still live in the area. Our vacation home allows us to get together and and share some quality time with our family and friends. With hectic schedules and life's daily grind, it is a welcome departure to escape for a few days and really enjoy ourselves.

My husband and adult children stayed in this lovely, cozy home for five days in December through Christmas. We were pleasantly surprised to find the house decorated for Christmas and lots of firewood ready for us to burn in the large wood burning fireplace. The house was clean, which is very important to me. We had a wonderful time and we would definitely stay there again.

Modern, well appointed house located close to Northstar, Squaw, and Alpine. It was very comfortable and felt like someone's home, not a rental. We would absolutely go back if we had a group of 10-12.

My family and two dogs loved staying here. This was the BEST vacation home we have ever stayed in. It was nicely furnished, and I loved the kitchen. My kids enjoyed playing in the backyard in the snow, and my husband and I enjoyed the hot tub during the evening. Great neighborhood. Very quiet. The stars at night on the back deck were incredible. Everything you need seemed to be right there in the home. Would stay here again any time.

Just wrapped up a wonderful weekend in North Lake Tahoe at this stunning Dollar Point property and man I could not be happier with our rental choice. From the moment I walked in the doors I knew the weekend was going to be great. The house is beautifully remodeled with a great kitchen for cooking and socializing. Everyone always likes to hang out in the kitchen and the floor layout was perfect for our group. Great entertainment system with speakers on the outside deck made for beautiful sunset views and major relaxing in the hot tub after deep powder days. The bedrooms were all spacious and enough to accomodate a large group. Overall, I would come back to this property in a heartbeat. Thinking about another trip already. The owners we dealt with were also very professional and caring about our time spent as well, including follow ups after the stay. I was very pleased on all fronts of this experience. Thanks again guys!

This cabin is well-maintained, modern, well decorated, and has a great amount of space inside and around the property. We took advantage of the CD player, the internet access, the DVD player, and the well-stocked kitchen (we ate large family meals every night we stayed there). High ceilings and large windows allow for a wonderful amount of natural light. There is a lot of space for families to play boardgames and enjoy company. The bedrooms are all comfortable and the layout affords a fair amount of privacy for the little baby in the family. Our dog was in heaven romping around the surrounding area (no traffic to speak of on the street, really). It was so convenient and peaceful to be in one of the rooms with a door to the outside. The wrap-around deck would be ideal for warming up in sunshine or entertaining in the summer time. The jacuzzi is nestled on a downstairs deck of its own, surrounded by trees. Everything works. It is a dream cabin! Gorgeous lake views are just a quick walk away. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, but conveniently located just minutes from Tahoe City. The drive to State-line casinos or Alpine/Squaw/Homewood mountains is a breeze. We will definitely be back.

Our family (grown children, spouses and one grandchild) stayed at the McAvoy's wonderful Tahoe residence for a long weekend (5 days, 4 nights) the beginning of February. The home is conveniently located to a number of ski resorts. This is a large, well-maintained, beautifully furnished home with a great kitchen stocked with plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. The home was clean and ready for us when we arrived, complete with detailed instructions on how to work the heater, hot-tub, etc. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it without reservation to others. The McAvoys even sent us a note and mailed back the cd case we forgot. We'll be back!
