This lovely Port Townsend home looks out on the waters of the Puget Sound and the Cascade and Olympic mountains. On windy days the eagles surf the winds above the bluff, visible from my favorite morning tea spot. Better yet, you're within an easy walk to just about everything wonderful in Port Townsend, a favorite vacation spot. Fort Worden State Park is a bike ride, or short drive away.
The house itself is an elegant Victorian home with unusually large rooms (living room, dining room, study, 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen and a laundry room) and 11' ceilings. Wood stove, wool carpets, and an assortment of Chinese, contemporary and Victorian furnishings trim it out. Outside the flowers will bloom in the spring, and water features front and back create an atmosphere of calm and seclusion.
The study has a large partner desk with water views, leather couches and rich wood furniture. The second bedroom (with adjoining 1/2 bath) can be used as a guest bedroom, or as a professional treatment room for a body worker. (The entryway can also double as a waiting room.)
House is for longer term rentals only, 3-12 months. Available as of August 28, 2008. |
