You’ll have this large fully equipped kitchen, LR, DR, 2 kiva fireplaces, king-size master bedroom w/ jacuzzi, queen room, 2 twins, and an office with an oldstyle writing table and trundle daybed.

Please note: This home gives you an opportunity to enjoy your surroundings at home as much as you'll enjoy the culture and history of Santa Fe and it's old world charm downtown. Since the drive to town is about ten minutes on the 599 bypass, you'll be able to experience what it really feels like to live in a Santa Fe community area in a newer development.

There are advantages to luxuriating in our beautiful home AWAY from the plaza, but still close enough to get downtown in only ten minutes. The quiet area, no parking issues, and outdoor patios with terrific views make it exceptional.

  • Mountain View: Views of the Sangre de Christo and Jemez mountains surround the property on 3.5 acres.
  • Ski-Out: Cross country skiing in the arroyo directly north of the property is free!
• Communications
  • Telephone: Telephone service is local, so bring a calling card for long distance. Verizon cell phones work the best in this area, but others do get reception, too.
  • Broadband Internet: Wireless satellite cards from Verizon only get internet reception if you bring your laptop.
• Other Amenities
  • We have a 3-bay garage with the third bay access for RV's. There is wonderful hiking from the property in several directions, including a dry arroyo just north of the property, and wonderful roads into the surrounding neighborhoods. This is a fabulous vacation spot, with privacy and also quick access to the Plaza and shopping. Very romantic setting, with luxury and comfort abounding.

  • Our stay at Casa Del Oso was great. Each room is decorated with historic artifacts which adds to the beauty of the house. It is very comfortable and spacious. The view is fantastic and peaceful. At night we heard coyotes howling. Very exotic. Look no further, this house is by far the best we ever stayed in. Enjoy!

    FYI: Wildlife in the high desert of Santa Fe is abundant, and coyotes may also be heard downtown. We are great appreciators of nature and animals, and do not allow hunting of any kind on our property.

  • Our stay at Casa del Oso was fabulous! The house is very spacious, has great views and is professionally decorated with a Southwestern theme throughout. It is a real showcase. The kitchen is well-supplied with utensils-we had everything we needed. It was wonderful to have a garage for our cars and ski equipment. We not only would stay here over & over, we could live in this beautiful house!

  • This is a terrific place to stay. The ceilings are very high, with exposed wood vigas, and it feels really spacious. Everything is in perfect order, and we had a family reunion here that was so much fun. The kitchen is to die for, and we loved the jacuzzi after sunset over the mountains. Excellent service, nice people, quiet and well kept.
