Thank you so much for being so accommodating! Staying at La Tierra definitely added to our vacation experience. We really appreciated all of the comforts of your place and what a wonderful master suite! This house is much larger than it seems from the desription on the website. And the organization of the kitchen was impeccable! We were an hour from the hot air balloon ride we took in Albuquerque...10 minutes from the wonderful art in Santa Fe...half an hour from Bandelier and Chimayo...and only 6 hours to the train trip we took to the Grand Canyon out of Williams Arizona ! We will definitely return!

Found home far more beautiful and well stocked that we hoped for. Especially the kitchen, fit for any gourmet cook! Separated nicely for two separate sleeping areas. The only other thing we could have asked for would be two king beds, rather than one and a queen, but certainly would not be a deterrent from us returning to this wonderful home!

This is a great luxury rental. We had a reunion (8 adults) there and everyone was "blown away" with the Southwestern decor and mountain views. The home was well equipped with everything we needed and more. We plan to rent this property again this spring when we bring our grown children to Santa Fe.

This beautiful home made our vacation perfect! We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful New Mexico sunsets with our friends and family. Our favorite place to gather was the back patio. SO RELAXING! We are definitely planning a return visit.

We have rented many houses through VRBO and this is one of the nicest and well stocked homes we've stayed at. It's actually nicer than the pictures show. I felt as though I was living in Zorro's hacienda.

We spent our anniversary at Casa del Oso and had a wonderful time, this beautiful home really made our long weekend special. It is private and quiet and as comfortable as we could ever want. Watching the sunrise slowly light up the property to the west while we had coffee each morning was something we don't get to enjoy at home. A short drive into town and we were eating in some of the best restaurants in New Mexico (Coyote Cafe cantina highly recommended), and strolling Canyon Road's galleries. We are hoping to gather our entire family in Casa del Oso for a holiday reunion soon!

This home was everything you would expect and more. What a fabulous place to get together with friends and family. The house was set up so beautifully and allowed for gathering and spending time together. I stayed with 6 sisters and sister-in-laws and we could not have imagined a better home to stay in. It was just close enough to Santa Fe, but far enough away to allow us to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains. And Jesse made sure the experience was smooth from start to finish! Would stay all year round if I could.

Eight member of my family stayed 3 nights at this wonderfully equipped and beautifully situated home. The house is a short drive to Santa Fe and an easy drive to other locations within the area (Camel Rock, casinos, Bandelier, etc.). The heart of the house is the kitchen and dining room area, and we found ourselves congregated there every night. We grilled dinners and the large table accommodated us all. The kitchen was well equipped with serving bowls, baking dishes, spices, glasses -- everything we needed to make us feel at home. We all would recommend this place to anyone looking for a homey (yet elegant) place to spend time in the "land of enchantment."

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful, well-equipped home. Great location close to town (and horse back riding 10 min. away) but loved the secluded feel and comfortable, quality surroundings of the home. Great space for all - beautiful inside and out. Highly recommend! Better than we had expected~

Four adults and two teenage family members had a wonderful time at this house. It is comfortable, spotless, well-equipped, and gives you a real taste of living in Santa Fe! The decorations and furniture are lovely, better than the pictures. We were able to cook a dinner for 8 with no problems....had everything we needed. Each evening we watched the sun go down, sitting at the big table on the portal over-looking the West mountains. Beautiful sunsets! The beds are great, the baths huge, plenty of room to spread out. We only had to use the A/C once in the late afternoon for an hour. The copious number of windows give plenty of ventilation and views. Jess has thought of everything you need. It's very quiet, but only 8-10 easy minutes to downtown. Jess communicates with you clearly and promptly! We'd go back to this house...wish we could have just stayed forever!! Be sure to eat at Andiamo, on Garfield St., and at Rooftop Pizza on the Plaza. Shiprock Trading, on the Plaza upstairs, and the Wheelwright Museum(Museum Hill) shop have the best quality Native American textiles and jewelry. A good day trip from the house is to Bandelier National Monument and the Valles Caldera. They are up in the mountains you see from the house. Thanks for a great place to temporarily live in Santa Fe!

The house is absolutely beautiful, private and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent again. There were a couple of minor problems, no extra towels, and the propane gas tank ran out during cooking (too much trouble to go into town in the middle of cooking to get a new one---having an extra one on hand would be nice). Otherwise everything was wonderful.
Owner response:We keep an extra supply of towels on hand for guests, (they were in the locking closet!) and a spare propane tank is onsite, since this guest reported.

paul and i stayed at this wonderful home in april 2010. if you are looking to really get away from the world, this is the place to do it in luxury. it is close enough to everything but remote enough to want to live there forever. jesse is a wonderful and helpful resource. we will be back as soon as we are able.
Owner response:I am richer for knowing the guests who stay here!

We loved our time at this home. It is even more beautiful in person. The kitchen ended up being the place we hung out the most because it was inviting and warm. If you are thinking about you should definately stay here for vacation. You won't be disappointed.

This house is as wonderful as the site portrays it. Maybe even better! Our hiking group loved the location. Easy access to the 599 and from there any number of wonderful day trips to the surrounding area. Taos, Bandelier, Tent Rocks (Slot Canyon is awesome!)and of course the Plaza are fabulous, and coming "home" to Casa del Oso was the icing on cake!

We had a Fabulous time in this wonderful house! Our family reunion in this 4 bedroom house was great! With plenty of room to spread out, congregating in the kitchen/dining room, and out on the patio was such fun! We had great views, privacy and Southwest charm! Plus close enough to town to zip right in. We hope to spend another vacation at Las Campanas!

Our stay at Casa Del Oso was great. Each room is decorated with historic artifacts which adds to the beauty of the house. It is very comfortable and spacious. The view is fantastic and peaceful. At night we heard coyotes howling. Very exotic. Look no further, this house is by far the best we ever stayed in. Enjoy!
Owner response:FYI: Wildlife in the high desert of Santa Fe is abundant, and coyotes may also be heard downtown. We are great appreciators of nature and animals, and do not allow hunting of any kind on our property.

This is a terrific place to stay. The ceilings are very high, with exposed wood vigas, and it feels really spacious. Everything is in perfect order, and we had a family reunion here that was so much fun. The kitchen is to die for, and we loved the jacuzzi after sunset over the mountains. Excellent service, nice people, quiet and well kept.
