Come to the outdoor paradise of Canaan Valley, West Virginia! Heaven's Hideaway is located within the Timberline Resort, with easy access to two downhill ski resorts - Timberline and Canaan Valley - and one cross-country resort - Whitegrass Touring Center.
The valley is surrounded by state and national forests and parks for a wealth of wilderness experiences, including Monongahela National Forest (amazing hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking), Blackwater Falls State Park, Canaan Valley Institute lands (great for birding and boating), and Dolly Sods Wilderness (entrance to Dolly Sods is 1/4 mile from the house at the top of Cabin Mountain - go blueberry picking in the summer and enjoy the tremendous view of the entire valley, and the unique flora and fauna in the Sods backcountry). There are also two small lakes within Timberline for canoeing - Guests have full lake privileges and canoe access.
Heaven's Hideaway is located on 2.5 acres of secluded and forested mountainside within the Timberline Resort. The house features a large great room with stone fireplace, and tall windows providing an open view of the mountainside below. A spacious and private outdoor hot tub overlooks the forest, and a large deck surrounds the house with ample room for outdoor dining and relaxing. The house sleeps 10-12, with a king bed in the master bedroom, queen beds in the second and third private bedrooms, and two double-bunk beds in the fourth bedroom. Additional beds are also available for larger groups. It has all the amenities of home, with fully stocked kitchen, laundry room, toys, games, videos, books, and a piano!
The house is equipped with high speed cable modem service and WiFi connectivity. Bring your laptop and "work" from the deck or hot tub!
Come in the winter for the skiing and snowboarding, come in spring and summer for the hiking, biking, camping, fishing, boating, and relaxing by the mountain streams, and come in fall for the stunning foliage.
