We loved our short stay here, we caught a 15# bluecat from the dock. We heard crappie fishing was slow so we went to Neeley Henry lake to shoot the docks. We caught 220 keepers in two days (almost our limit). The house was great and very relaxing. We would love to return again sometime...Thanks

We have been staying at the lake house for 5 years and will be returning annually. It is a gorgeous place on Weiss lake to stay. the views from the house are beautiful. If you enjoy fishing or just relaxing this is the spot. The house is very clean and furnished very well. The kitchen has everything you will need. The property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The property has an excellant boat dock if you bring your boat and there is a boat ramp close by. If you dont bring a boat the lake guides will come and pick you up at the dock. We have caugh several nice crappie fishing from the dock in the late evening using minnows. The entire lake area is beautiful so take time to do some site seeing. If your relaxing don't include cooking there are several nice resturaunts in the area. So what are you waiting on check it out!!

This was another great experience renting a home on VRBO, I have used this site for rentals in South Carolina and Florida with a lot of success so this was no big surprise. The home was better than described and very comfortable for the four of us. (two couples) We fish Lake Weiss most every spring for crappie so we knew the area but we had always stayed in motels. Renting this house was a great decision. Very comfortable and well furnished with beautiful landscaping and an extensive outdoor deck. We were able to launch our boats a couple of miles away and keep them on tied to the dock at the house. This was really handy and made it much easier that unloading and loading our boats every day. The house is located in the Little River area so we had a marina close by and plenty of fishing opportunity. Strongly recommended as a place to stay, relax and fish if you like.

3 buddies and I rented the home for a fishing trip and could not be more pleased with the accomodations. Not only was there plenty of room and a beautiful home, there was also the private dock and the fish cleaning station on the private dock. The online pictures of the house do no justice to the beauty of the home. It's a little tricky in the driveway if you are pulling a boat trailer but we put our boats in at the campground up the road and unhooked our trailers in the driveway for the rest of the week. We will definitely be back next Spring if not sooner. I highly recommend this home for fishing trips or for family trips. The home accomodates both.

My wife and I had a great weekend at this lake house. It has a wonderful view of the lake, with great porches, decks, and dock. The house had all the conveniences we needed. It was clean and in good shape. The master bed was a little small -- I think it was a double, not a queen, but I'm not certain, but we loved every minute. The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with.
Owner response:I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. The master bed is a queen size.

Beautiful, well maintained property. All of amenities of home with the vacation atmosphere on a beautiful lake. Boat launch location leaves something to be desired, but that is out of the control of the property owner. Owner, very friendly and helpful. I would return to this property anytime.

The Weiss Lake House is a beautiful, clean, quiet and peaceful place to visit. The property certainly lived up to the website information. It was spotlessly clean, had all the amenties of home and so comfortable. Views of the lovely lake were available throughout the home except for one bedroom. The owners are exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with. We would definitely recommend this property for a getaway spot and actually have already done so to friends and family. We had an unfortunate accident and illness while there and got to experience the services of the local Rescue Squad and Cherokee Medical Center in Centre but we were treated so well and the response time of the Rescue Squad was exceptionally fast and the doctors and nurses well above average. We will definitely plan on a return visit if the opportunity arises.

The property was exactly as listed, beautiful, well maintained, and very relaxing. My wife and I took our 2 grandsons and their 2 cousins for a weekend they or us will not forget. The boys caught fish (youngest grandson his first) all day from the dock, caught catfish, bream, and 2 bass. This was the 1st time for them to be towed on a tube. Other family members came up during the days, which simply topped off the experience. The boat launch is only about 1.5 miles away. We would recommend this place to anyone. Guess the only bad thing I can say, is that now the boys want to know when we're going back.

We stayed in this beautiful place for the third time. The weather and lake were perfect. The blooming flowers were beautiful. We saw herons, ducks, geese and goslings, bass, turtles, a wild turkey and multiple birds. The house is clean, well kept and very well equipped. The overwhelming quietness of the place is what greets us when we arrive, and we begin to relax. The decks on the lake are great places for reading and relaxing. We are planning a return visit, and wish it could be next week!

The lake house was even more than I imagined - absolutely beautiful. The house was immaculate - everything sparkling!! The yard with all the flowers in bloom was gorgeous. The view from the back porch overlooking the flower garden to the lake was really pretty. A short path through the flowers leads directly to the pier and lake. This was one of the most relaxing vacations ever. The Swifts furnished an information sheet concerning the house that was really helpful during our stay. I highly recommend the Lake House to anyone who wishes a quiet get-away, yet has many attractions only a short drive away. We hope to return soon.

This was our second visit to this wonderful home, but hopefully not our last. This is a beautiful home with lovely views of Weiss Lake. Unbelievably on Thanksgiving Day we sat out on the dock and enjoyed watching the ducks, geese, cranes, turtles, and fish. This house is wonderfully equipped and a very pleasant place to stay. With the sunroom and the porches, there are plenty of places for everyone. The first thing we noticed when we arrived is how very quiet it is, you just feel like you begin relaxing as soon as you arrive. We had a delightful time and we will be back!

This house is absolutely beautiful, well-kept and well stocked. The property itself is well maintained and clean. We spent two nights there and I cannot think of one remotely negative thing to say about this place. The location is secluded (about a 20 minute drive from town) and the lake is right there, just 30 steps away! The town itself isn't much but we didn't want to leave the house or the lake. There are also lots of fish in the lake for people interested in fishing. The owners were more than helpful and I appreciated how easy it was to get in contact with them. They were very accommodating and quick to answer any questions. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who is considering a little get-away and would suggest it to anyone looking for vacation ideas. It was perfect.

The minute I walked in the door I felt a positive energy from the home. There was no getting used to the surroundings it felt like I had lived there for years. The home was comfortable and very clean, spotless actually. The view late in the afternoon from the dock with the reflection of the trees from the island across the lake and the absolute stillness of the calm water was priceless. I really enjoyed all the little nooks and crannies in the yard to read or just think. The neighbors were polite and helpful. Michael was very helpful and didn't mind my calls at all. I will be back. If you are looking for a place out of the rat race of city life where the time of day has no meaning this is your place also.

Nancy and I had a brief but wonderful stay (18-20 June 2010). The house and surroundings are great as are the owners who made everything as comfortable for us as possible. Did not have a boat which I will try to get for next time as a boat would open up a whole new world to enjoy. Recommend this place for everyone. John/ Nancy

My family and I just recently stayed at your lake house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and so relaxing. Our 15 year old and 9 year old sons fished the entire time. Although they didn't catch any fish, they loved the dock and just kept on trying. We loved how private and peaceful the location of your house was. We will definatley be returning until we buy a lake house of our own. Thanks to Michael and Lynn for being so easy to work with and prompt on returning our deposit. We appreciate you sharing your vacation property with us.

This house is as the title says and a whole lot more! Easy access to the dock, that will accommodate three boats, makes it the perfect spot for fisherman. Beautiful setting in the Spring. The house is well maintained, very clean and has every thing you need to make your stay pleasant. We've stayed at the house the last four years, have next year booked and look forward to staying there for many years to come. Lynn and Michael have all the bases covered, they're very helpful and are really intent on making your stay the best it can be. When your stay is over they want to know what they can do, if anything, to make your next stay even better. Thank you Lynn and Michael for sharing your home with us.

Our overall experience at this particular Lake House on Weiss Lake has been exceptional. We just concluded our 4th stay in this house (twice for two weeks). The location is easy to find, even from Ohio and the photos are accurate, even though we have not yet experienced the "full bloom" as we come early to fish for crappies. Personally, I am partial to a well maintained CLEAN home and this house is best by far compared to the others we have rented on Weiss Lake. My husband likes the easy access from house to dock. It is so convenient for docking our boat and also a great place to night fish for those crappie when they do not want to bite during the day! And we so appreciate the cleaning table and water available to clean the fish on the lower deck. And because we do come early spring, we have had some not so good fishing conditions. Those days we have read books, worked puzzles, played games, watched TV and played the Wii. We have also gone to DeSoto Park and Rock Village. AND caught up on some needed rest! ? We have eaten out at Mama J's Buffet which is southern cooking for a low price, the City Buffet is oriental cooking, the Lighthouse Restaurant is on Weiss Lake and there are many other places to eat. We enjoy cooking at the Lake House and usually eat out once during the week. We would recommend this quiet, lovely Lake House to any of our friends (which we have and they are coming too) and relatives. You will want to come back again and again! We are already booked for next year!
