This is our 2nd year renting this cabin with our family over the holidays! The cabin is beautiful and a relaxing place to look out over the beautiful snow covered meadows. Great for a large or small group and plenty of room for many hands in the kitchen! Beautiful fireplace with glass doors so you can sit and enjoy the flames of the fire! The setting and cabin are truly amazing!

My husband and I rented this 3 bedroom for 5 nights and wished it had been 2 weeks! The house is very upscale and the nicest decorated one we stayed in, on our month-long trip. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The furniture is very nice and cozy. Both beds we tried were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. There is this gorgeous wrap-around porch with rocking chairs. You can sit out at night and look at the stars and enjoy a glass of wine. The stars are incredibly bright with no nearby light pollution. This is a great base to explore various parts of Idaho. It's a quick drive into McCall. The surrounding area is just gorgeous. It's a great place to relax or be as busy as you want. Also, Doug is very attentive and great to please every request.

Our family of 8 had an amazing week at this cabin. The cabin itself is so beautiful--high end finishes everywhere and extremely well cared for. There was so much to do at the cabin and the surrounding area--exploring the ATV trails, roasting hot dogs over the firepit, picking huckleberries, hiking, swimming in McCall, sitting out on the big porch at night counting the stars. We LOVED it here and will definitely go back again. The cabin is big enough for large families, and the price is so low, that it makes it an affordable vacation for anyone. It's close enough to McCall to enjoy all the activities there, but far enough away that you don't have all the busyness that McCall has. The owners were great to work with--very responsive and helpful. I have nothing but positive to say about this place!

We fell in love with the looks of the cabin in the pictures on the ad. And we wanted to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the view and the smores at the campfire at night. The deer in the neighborhood and the delicious food at the near by restaurant. We had the most amazing time and it was comfortable and we enjoyed every minute of it. And we always found something to do at the cabin.

This is a great location for which we enjoyed so very much. We were able to to skiing at Brundage, x-c skiing at Bear Basin and Ponderosa, so lots of winter stuff to do. The cabin was in great shape and fit our needs exactly. We hope we can visit again sometime in the future.

We just spent a great New Years there! The cabin is beautiful with everything you could possibly need; yet it is secluded enough to get away from all the stress in life! This is the second time we have stayed there with many more to come!

Thanksgiving was never better! There was PLENTY of both snow and firewood. The owners prepared us well through great communications and with detailed maps and instructions for use of their home. They are very gracious, supportive owners. The cabin suited our intent to relax, read, play games, and enjoy one another's company. The coziness of the crackling fire and the snowy meadow is just what we were hoping for. This cabin is excellent for family or friends who want that remote feel while having modern ammenities in the house and being close to attractions. Zims Hot Springs hit the spot after a long hike in a winter wonderland! We are hoping to return in the summer to ride the Weiser River Rail-Trail just outside your back door. Thanks for the fond memories in your wonderful log cabin!

We didn't want to leave. We stayed 8 nights! Stars at night were unbelievable! It was a beautiful cabin, with real log walls and a woodburning fireplace! The fireplace was fantastic, kept us so warm. We cooked our favorite foods in the great kitchen, marble countertops were gorgeous. A great place to cook, eat and visit. This place was perfect for our vacation. The Cabin is much bigger than the pictures can show. We were so impressed when we walked in the door. I couldn't believe someone would let us stay in such a beautiful place. Oh, and the Porch, I could sit there for hours and rock away the day enjoying the view and the peace and quiet. The owners were great people, we had never rented anything like this before, they were easy to work with, very friendly. It was so close to McCall, we couldn't believe this gem was hiding in the woods of New Meadows, but so close to everything. There was a grocery store close by, which was handy for anything we may have forgotten. We will be back, I would like to see it in the winter also. We would recommend this to our friends and family, but not all of them, we want to keep it for ourselves!!

We absolutley loved staying at your cabin. It was spacious, well furnished, classy and VERY clean!! The peaceful meadows were breathtaking and the we enjoyed our morning walk around the development. We even saw a fox running about. My mom asked me to bring her back next year and she is not an outdoors type at all. All of the comforts of home away from home. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Lastly, the location was perfect - far enough away from the highway to avoid noise and inconvenience but close enough to reach the road in minutes and do our touring.

Just got back from spending the weekend at this beautiful cabin with my husband and our children and grandchildren. The cabin is very nice and comfortable and the kids had a great time with their sleighs sledding right off the deck. We had 9 adults and then some kids so they slept on the floor and we still had room. The pictures describing the cabin are accurate. Loved the fireplace. It was easy to get to and not far from other attractions, we went to the tubing hill in McCall and to Zims and to Brundage. After all that the grandkids said their favorite thing was sleigh riding off the deck.

I am somewhat loathe to write a review; we want the cabin all to ourselves. The home is beautiful and the setting is perfect. After a hectic visit to McCall and the Winter Carnival, it was great to return to a quiet, cozy cabin in the woods. The owner has provided a written set of instructions which make it very easy to understand eveything you need to know to run the place. Everything was so clean, that it seemed new. We plan on going back.

The cabin is beautiful! Love the open layout and the homey feel of it the pictures don't do it justice. It was fabulous to just pack up our clothes and food and go spend a great weekend making wonderful memories with our friends and family! Everything we needed was already there. The kids loved sledding off the porch and swimming at Zim's. This was our second visit and we will be back! Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with the rest of us!

As I wrote in the book, we are so very appreciative of your generosity. Loved all the "little" touches. Very practical set-up and such a beautiful wooded area. We watched football, kicked back, soaked at Zim's, cooked some awesome food and got caught up on our reading. Paradise!

All the comforts of home with a great view and peaceful mountain setting. We rode bikes, saw deer, and went swimming in nearby lakes and hot springs. We also mountain biked down the ski hill 10 minutes away. We will come back in the Winter for skiing and snow-mobiling. What a great get away.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and comfortable - what? Chalet? Dacha? Calling it a cabin is an understatement, but that's what they do in Idaho. All you need is your clothes and food; Doug is very generous with everything else - coffee and filters, tea, sugar, condiments, paper products, soap, shampoo, detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. One evening a herd of mule deer visited us.

My family has stayed at this cabin a few times now and it is the only cabin we will ever go to again. It is very private yet close enough for easy access. Only a 15 min drive to Mccall but trust me you won't want to leave. We saw foxes and deer everyday and watching the sunset from the front deck is amazing. The owners are great to work with and have truly put their heart and soul into an extremely comfortable cabin. This cabin is spotless and has all the amenities you could ask for. If you are looking for a great private cabin while still having access to all the activities of Mccall look no further, THIS IS THE ONE!!!

We have stayed here as a couple, family and extended family. Each time has been a wonderfully relaxing time. Skiing/sledding all day then returning to a warm fire place in a homey feel, open décor is great. But so is hiking all day and returning to a camp fire and smores. The open space works great for separating kids and adults or finding a quite corner to read while others want to gab. The kitchen is open to the common area, making preparing meals not feel like your excluded from everyone else and there’s plenty of room for a couple of others to join in the cooking fun. Hot springs are close and so is a corner market for the inevitable forgotten necessity. Checking out is easy, just laundry, breakfast, pack, clean, and on our way. We will definitely stay again for any reason we want to be in the area.
