Front Door - San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico - Vacation House Rental in the Sierra Madre Mountains! Located in the Sierra Madre Mountains at 6300 feet, San Miguel rests in a valley with beautiful sunset views. San Miguel boasts an absolutely wonderful climate all year. This delightful town has cobblestone streets and exudes an old world feel. San Miguel is known as one of Mexico's seven silver cities and is a historic monument. San Miguel has been written up in Conde Nast and other famous journals as a beautiful tourist destination. Our Home is located three blocks from the Jardin in the Historic Centro District and is situated on a quiet side street. We have approximately 2000 square feet of living space with two bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a garage. The house is in a "L Shape" and faces a beautiful garden with Plumbago, Bougainvillea, ferns, as well as productive lemon and pomegranate trees. Many pots line the stairway up to the second floor. In the courtyard, we have patio furniture with an umbrella and chimenas for cooler weather. An old church pew sits beyond the double glass doors to the patio. Newly appointed with comfortable furniture and antique pieces of Mexican furniture from Michoacan, the den/family room is very comfortable and cozy. Several deer mounts were purchased in Round Top, Texas and an antler chandelier gives this room a lodge feel. The master bedroom, located downstairs, has also been appointed with a beautiful, king-size, iron bed and has a down feather bed and down comforter. The second-story, master bedroom has been appointed with custom Ralph Lauren drapery and bedding from Cowgirls and Lace in Dripping Springs, Texas. In the summer of 2004, the upstairs room was redecorated and the walls were fauxed with a red glaze. The beautiful iron bed was dressed in a lace canopy by Luis Jimenez. Services Provided: * We have a full-time maid who will do your laundry, ironing, and will even prepare simple dishes for you - Depending on her work load. * For an additional fee the maid can do minor grocery shopping. * For an additional fee we can pre stock the home with beverages and food for you convenience. * * We can arrange for a personal driver to pick you up from the airport in Leon and the cost is generally $100
