The studio apartment is a part of the first floor of our house with is own private entrance. It has a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette. It is nicely decorated in a Mediterranean style. There is no need for a/c as the area is cooled all year round by the Atlantic ocean breezes. There is ample closet room and also storage in our secure garage for bags and water sports equipments. Less than a minutes walk from the apartment's front door, is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches on the island. The beach is just over a mile long, hence it's name Long beach. This beach is very popular with the local kite surfers especially on the weekends. As the apartment is a part of our house, our guests are invited to enjoy the main house patio where there are lounge chairs, hammocks and our outdoor dining table where guests can have dinner in open surroundings. This part of the house experiences constant sea breeze day and night all year round.
Area information: This area in Barbados is the best spot for kite and windsurfing. There are also some good surf breaks for professional, intermediate and beginners. In our neighborhood live quite a few surfers, kiters and windsurfers, among them is world famous windsurfer Brian Talma. It is important to note that right here there are kite board, windsurf and surf clubs where classes are offered for beginners or for the more experienced, equipment can be rented.
Martin the owner of the house is a surfer who teaches surfing and will gladly assist anyone with information relating to these sports.
Transportation: We offer free pick up and drop off to and from the airport.
Also we can assist in the reservation of a car.
