Fantastic Apartment

Four of us (two couples) stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of May, 2011. The apartment itself is quirky (in a good way) with sloping rooflines and beamed ceilings. It is loaded with character, and was probably our favorite place while travelling through Italy. One of the really great features was the terrace. We only ate out one night, because it was a lot more fun getting some food and eating out on the terrace in the evenings. The photos are accurate, and the place was spotless. The property manager, Irina, met us at the building, and was extremely helpful. The location couldn't have been better. It's right in the centre of the action, within walking distance of everything except the Vatican. There are restaurants, cafes, bars and shops everywhere around the apartment. The one caution is that the apartment is on the 4th floor of a building with no elevators. Getting up and down the stairs -especially with luggage- is not for the weak-willed or the weak-kneed. But once you get there, it was worth the effort. If you're in Rome, treat yourself to this apartment.

We just arrived home from a 10-day stay in this beautiful apartment. This apartment is in the perfect location! Close to the Vatican, Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and many beautiful churches while being in an authentic Roman neighborhood away from the tourist crowds. Termini station is a 5 minute walk. We actually walked everywhere with the exception of Trastavere. We took a cab there for about 10 Euro. Anything you could want to see or do in Rome can be visited from this apartment as long as you bring good walking shoes! The walk was half the experience because it was the best way for us to discover all the shops and restaurants tucked away on the side streets. Excellent coffee, sandwiches and gelato on Via Serpenti, one street over. Many good restaurants very close by where you will get great tasting authenic Italian food with the locals. Very quiet at night. The best part is the amazing terrace where we sat many evenings and revelled at being in such a lovely location. The owners are very helpful and easy to communicate with via phone and email. The apartment is open and airy - beautifully decorated and comfortable. We hated leaving such a wonderful apartment and we already miss Rome and all it's beauty and splendor. Thank you Mishka and Lizi for allowing us to use your home while we visited Rome!
