This end unit condo on the 14th floor is quiet and has amazing views. The balcony is huge and could accomodate 10-15 people; however we did not use it as we were out on the beach enjoying the gorgeous water. It was nice to sit outside in the morning and have breakfast or drink our coffee each morning. Cons: The condo is dated. The furniture especially the dining room chairs are worned, stained and old. The remaining furniture needs updating. The master bedroom is VERY small. It can't accomodate two adults and one child without falling on each other. Because it's an end unit, it is pretty quite and is near the elevator. There is not a hair dryer so make sure you bring one and you will need to buy additional paper towels and toilet paper if you are going to be staying for a few days. For those with young children, the furniture in this unit is not child friendly. Very sharp edges. Pros: The view was spectacular. There are two balconies and the second one is very large. We didn't use it. Beach chairs were available in the closet which made it nice to take to the beach. The Beachside II resort is the perfect location. The beach is gorgeous and is directly on the beach which is very convenient. There is a private gate access for parking so it's very secured. I would rent again at the Beachside II but probably a different unit with a bigger bedroom.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers.

This was our first time to visit the Destin area. We loved it! I am so glad we stayed in the Sandestin resort. It was very well kept and was very secure. It was also less commercial than Destin, which we found more relaxing. There were security guards, gates and security codes for almost everything. This unit looked exactly like the photos posted. The dining rooms chairs could have used a steam cleaning, but without being nitpicky, it was a very nice condo. Loved the decor! The view was amazing to say the least! The sun deck was a nice added bonus, however we did not use it much as we wanted to be on the beach as much as possible. The beach was clean and aside from the June Grass, the ocean was great! The pool was very nice as well. The wind was quite gusty on our balcony during our time in this condo. Don't know if it is like that all the time or not. We liked it as it was so hot, but you kinda have to hold on to your food if you are eating out there. You can see down the entire coast of Destin from the balcony. I would not stay this high up with small children. I found this condo through VRBO however Platinum Services of Destin manage it and therefore I dealt with them in renting. I had no problems with them. I had alot of questions and they answered them all. Loved the Broken Egg at the Bayside Wharf for breakfast, did not like the Twisted Palm, PF Changs was great and the Bayside Village had wonderful fireworks on Thursday night. We would definetely stay here again.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
