Sunny Mexican garden patio and lime tree - San Miguel de Allende Vacation Rental A historic 200 year old home built for the gardener of the bishop of San Miguel and retains it’s original 2 foot thick walls which insulate well against cold and heat. This 2 bedroom/2 bath home was renovated to include all the modern conveniences without sacrificing historic architectural detail. The original adobe brick walls can be seen through built in bookcases on each side of the fireplace which keeps the living room toasty during the short winter season. Stretch out on the comfy leather couch with a good book from our library or surf the net on the Dell laptop computer. In the traditional Mexican style all rooms open to the peaceful central garden area where you can enjoy your meals alfresco and pick limes for margaritas from your own tree. Each bedroom has it’s own connecting bath and ceiling fan. The master bedroom has a queen bed (American Serta mattress, luxury linens and memory foam bed topper) and large bathroom featuring a claw foot tub. The second bedroom has a full size bed (firmer Serta mattress) with luxury linens, TV, DVD and attached bathroom with shower. The second bathroom also has a washer for your personal use. In addition, each bedroom has a locked security cupboard built into the thick walls. Laptop computer with high speed internet, utilities, cable TV, cell phone and VONAGE phone line (free unlimited calling to USA, Canada & Puerto Rico) are included. The entire house is on one floor except for the roof-top terrace. Maid service is included and provided weekly. Additional days, cooking and laundry service are available for an added cost. Please arrange this directly with the maid or talk with the property manager. Located on Hernandez Macias street in the historic Centro neighborhood, it’s only a 3 block level walk to the central plaza (El Jardin) where there is always something happening. Enjoy traditional folk dancing and music or relax on the benches and experience the strolling mariachi groups and people watching. Within easy walking distance to all language schools and close to the artisan craft, produce and flower markets. Small pets are allowed ($200 pet deposit required on arrival and will be returned upon checkout). Smoking allowed in the open garden area or rooftop terrace. Our English speaking property manager is on site in San Miguel and will greet you at the house. She can also arrange transportation to and from any of the area airports. Half the total amount is due when booking is confirmed and can be paid via Paypal (credit card or bank transfer) or by check (booking is confirmed when check has cleared). The rent balance and security deposit (in cash please) are due upon arrival. Security deposit will be returned on departure. Nearby are historical landmarks, food shops, restaurants, laundry services, pharmacies and shopping.
