Location: Harwich, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA (Walking Distance To Ocean, River and Village of Dennisport)
Accommodations: House, 5 Bedrooms + Library, 4 Baths (Sleeps 11)
It's only a little 1/2 acre farm, but it puts out a whole crop of Saturdays. This authentically restored antique farmhouse is a joy and it's everything you'd hope for - restful, refreshing, comfortable, and welcoming. Enjoy lush gardens and lots of privacy.
It is just 1/3 mile to Sea View Park which includes Sea View Beach, walking trails, a children's play area and gardens. It is just 1/2 mile to 2 other beaches - Belmont and Sea Street Beach and the Harwich Conservation Land is just over 1/2 mile away ; here there are hundreds of acres of bike trails, lakes, rivers and ponds and cranberry bogs.
In the fall and winter the fireplace is available and in the summer the outdoor fire pit is a treat.
There are 2 small, lovable sheep on the property. They are our quiet lawnmowers. They are very child friendly. We're happy to share them with your family or if you'd be more comfortable if we did not let them graze while you are there, we are okay with that too.
We will prepare the house beautifully for your arrival and provide the key to your own private Cape Cod week of Saturdays. You will not be working with a management company - only the owners (Cindy and Harry). Your enjoyment and comfort is what we are working toward.
Light, roomy and relaxing, the living room, sun room and den provide several seating areas and an extensive library of books, movies, and board games. You can enjoy sunning or reading outside on one of the many Adirondack chairs where there are fragrant flowers in the front yard and backyard gardens. Outdoor games and 2 nice picnic tables are placed for a great family picnic.
This house has been an inspiration for artists and photographers and we did have collages of garden/bridal photos taken in and around the house on this site but VRBO no longer let's us post collage photos. If you are interested in seeing more photos like these, please just ask us.
Here is what other guests have said:
'Everywhere I have spent time in this extraordinary home I have made discoveries. Warm, comfortable, beautiful, soulful, artistic are words that come to mind. The Baa Boy bells, softest sheets, inspiration everywhere. Oh my, what a wonderful week of Saturdays. No doubt the vibrations will continue to resonate long after this week. Thank you both for creating your lives and sharing.' Lee-Ann from Virginia, July, 2009
'Saturday Farm was everything we anticipated and more. The house was a joy to be in with all the wonderful art, books, and lovingly furnished rooms. Our meals around the dining room table are now fond memories that we will carry forever - especially "Lobster Night".
Thank you for a perfect Cape Cod experience.' Molly, California. May 2009
'Our stay at Saturday Farm was wonderful. What an enchanting place! Bromley and Jobey {the lanbs} were, of course, favorites with everyone. No one wanted to leave. Thank you so much for having such a gem to offer.' Liz from Colorado. May, 2009
'We have had such a wonderful time here. We love all the small attention to detail both in all of the rooms as well as the gardens. The outdoor spaces are articulated so nicely - we really appreciated and used all of them. Usually as a family, when we have an occasion to celebrate we come to the Cape. This has been the BEST house we have ever had here. It helped so much to make our mom's 85th birthday a big success. A joyful time! The fire pit was a great addition - all 12 of us sat around making, of course, S'mores. The kitchen worked great for this many people and when we could eat outside we all fit nicely at the picnic tables. You are very thoughtful in everything and it did not go unnoticed on us. Oh, yes the sun room was a very comfortable gathering place even for this many people. The outdoor shower was a real hit, especially the birds nest in the rose vine. This was great proximity to many things - bike trails, beaches, morning runs and walks, go-carts miniature golf, etc. It certainly was a home away from home!' The Striffolinos, 7-11-08
'We've had a lovely week here. The gracious space of the house allowed all 10 of us to relax in private as well as celebrate family together. Truly is always Saturday here! ' June 2, 2008
Cindy and Harry,
Your house has a smile because of your TLC. It is lovely. It really feels like home here! Trish, September, 2007
"Dear Cindy and Harry,
Thank you so much for a great Cape experience. We loved everything about the house, but especially loved the beautiful gardens and walking to the beach."

"I enjoyed the beautiful house and the front and backyard. I loved the fact that you have a beach close to the house. I really loved the bedrooms and everything in the house." Luciana, 12 years old
"A beautiful ending to a beautiful summer in a beautiful place like this house. Everyone in our group found something to enjoy, the garden, the outdoor shower the library, the kitchen, and the soul of the artist who touched this place." Lucianna's mother (September)
"Thank you for letting us vacation in your wonderful home. Every day was beach weather and we took full advantage. The house rang with laughter and chatter and then, after awhile, napping and sleeping. We had a full international house and they all loved it here." (August) Zoe, Germany
"Wow! What a spectacular place you have. It makes you remember the good old days when everything was so simple and ever so easy. Thank you for sharing it with us. There were so many moments spent here that will be remembered forever." Kerry, South Africa

Handyman Harry and I love what we do - we spend our days hammering, painting, and working to make the things we see more beautiful. It makes us very happy to see so many people make wonderful memories in the environments that we create. We work to make Saturday Farm, Island Cottage Holly House and The Barn magical places to spend time alone or with loved ones.
Why the Owner Chose Harwich
