“Casa Chula” is a 1920's 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Central Austin available for nightly/weekly/monthly rental. Located 5 blocks from the University of Texas campus & 1.6 miles to downtown, this 1470 sq. ft. house has been renovated from top to bottom. It is located on a park in a historical neighborhood zoned single family homes only. It is in an ideal location for families of UT students; Bass Hall performers; UT conference/workshop participants; Convention Center & downtown visitors; wedding parties; & family/friend reunions. With the large yard & porches, Casa Chula is also a great place to host special celebrations such as bridal, birthday & graduation parties. It is just a few blocks from Trudy's, Spider House & El Patio. Moreover, it is just blocks away from Seton, St. David's,& Heart hospitals.
Decorated with rustic Mexican furniture & art, Casa Chula is both unique & comfortable. Its flooring is a mix of original hardwoods, new Mexican marble, & porcelain. The living/dining room area has two leather couches, marble tables,& oriental rugs. Bedrooms have iron double beds with Mexican or Guatemalan bedspreads. All rooms have multiple large windows with shutters, & the top of the UT Tower can be seen from two rooms. Two of the three bedrooms open up to a screened-in porch. The kitchen has granite counter tops & new appliances. There is an eating area within the kitchen & a Mexican marble dining room table in the living room. The laundry area is separate. The house is cleaned professionally & all mattress covers, bedspreads, & blankets are washed between guests. For guests staying more than 7 nights, a weekly cleaning is included at no charge in rate. Complimentary chips, salsa & beverages are awaiting guests upon arrival.
Weekday rates are of exceptional value compared to similar Central Austin rentals.

Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. Plans were made last minute and the owner was very hospitable and accommodating. Very clean house! She even brought us chips and salsa, and there were cold beers in the frig upon arrival! Very good location next to small park. Walking distance to Trudy's and The Spider and the grocery store. Very short drive to downtown. Nice quiet neighborhood. All the comforts of home in the kitchen. Would definitely stay there again!

This house was great. Location was awesome and amenities were perfect. Property was very clean and well maintained. The owener was amazing and very helpful. It is located just off Guadalupe and the UT campus. We walked to the game and places to eat. The neighborhood was really cool. This property exceeded my expectations. I will return. NO DOUBT!

A group of girlfriends and I rented this house when we were in Austin for a friend's wedding. Everything about it was amazing from start to finish. The owner was very communicative and helpful before we got to the house and even more so once we were there. She made us feel right at home with beer and chips and salsa. The house itself is great. It is spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owner has obviously taken a lot of time and energy to make it a welcoming space. The neighborhood was perfect for a bunch of out-of-towners. This is a great deal for the price. I hope to stay there again on my next Austin trip.

We stayed at this vacation rental two weekends in a row and were very pleased with the accomodations and the hospitality. The house was very clean and comfortable. Great location. Within walking distance to Trudy's, an excellent location for a good meal and drinks.
