You and your family and friends will love this beautiful new mountain home. Enjoy sitting on the covered front porch or out on the large open deck. A hot tub is being installed February, 2009 for your added enjoyment.
There is an easy entry to the main level of the house which has the living room, dining, kitchen, master bed and bath, and powder room. The top floor has two bedrooms and a full bath and a small loft. The bottom floor has a large family room, bedroom, full bath, laundry and single garage. The master bedroom has a king bed. One bedroom on the top floor has a king bed and the other has a daybed which opens up into 2 twins. The bedroom on the lower level has a queen bed. There is a futon in the downstairs family room which opens up into a double size bed. A blow-up mattress can provide sleeping for two additional people. This makes the occupancy of the house for 10 to 12 people.
You will love the upgraded kitchen which is fully equipped and ready for your group to enjoy. Nice stainless appliances and granite countertops. There is a propane barbeque on the deck.
The house is in a great location on Beech mountain - close to hiking trails, the Beech Mountain Club facilities, and Ski Beech. It is at the end of cul-de-sac and has a lot of parking area and a nice yard area in back.
Come and enjoy the beauty of Beech Mountain and all of the High Country of North Carolina. Beech is near the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park, and many, many other activities. The area is full of beautiful scenery, wildlife, waterfalls, rivers, creeks, streams, wildflowers, and some of the greatest local people in the world!! There is something for everyone from outdoor activities to shopping -- you may never want to leave!!
Beech Mountain is a real little town complete with restaurants and a general store. The Town of Beech provides a great recreation center with indoor basketball court, indoor tennis courts, fitness center and meeting rooms. The staff offers activities year-round.
Summers in the High Country are great! We have natural air conditioning -- no need for A/C systems. Wildflowers, an endless number of trees and the formations of the mountains offer a wealth of views - no two are alike. You can find so much to do -- hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, swimming, horseback riding, caving, gem mining, antiquing, shopping, golf, tennis, fishing, rock climbing, or just relaxing.
Fall is breathtaking -- the changing leaves turn the mountains into a a palate of reds, oranges and yellows. It just doesn't last long enough. But, you can enjoy the numerous fall events around the mountains including "Autumn at Oz" the first weekend in October on Beech Mountain, the world famous "Woolly Worm Festival" in Banner Elk the third weekend in October, and the "Valle Country Fair" in historic Valle Crucis also on the third weekend in October.
And, of course, winter brings skiing, snowboarding, tubing and outdoor ice skating to the mountains. Beech Mountain is home to Ski Beech. The area also boasts 3 other resorts - Sugar Mountain, Appalachian Ski Mountain, and Hawksnest (tubing only).
