This is a great apartment in a great location. This was our second stay in this apartment. We would always want to stay here when visiting New York. It is clean, well lighted, and attractive. The photos show what we mean.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

This apartment's location was ideal for our purpose. The elevator wasn't always reliable. And since the unit was on the 5th floor, this was a problem. One of the main reasons we rent a condo instead of staying at a hotel, is that we don't have to eat every meal out. The kitchen lacked some basic items, like a large skillet & spatula. A new sponge would have been appreciated. And a larger capacity coffee pot would be a welcome addition. But overall, the size and location were great & I would definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My wife Becca and I came to celebrate New Year's Eve in New York. As former NYers we were thouroughly impressed by Lincoln Center Apertment. It is huge, has a big living room, a bedroom where you can actually get up on both sides and is in the best location, right across from the Met! We ate at one of oour favorites, Fiorello's, many times and hope that we can stay with Michael and Cristina again soon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We stayed in the apt for a little over a month. It was clean when we arrived and a pleasant lady came in once during our stay to clean it and the rest of the time we looked after the apt ourselves. The layout was good though very tiny for two single people. We were fascinated by the tiny kitchen where every piece of furniture fitted with < a mm to spare. The two lighters in the drawer let us know we had to light the gas stove tops manually, and that was a surprise. No plug for the kitchen sink meant we used a metal mixing dish for our small washings up. There was no dishwasher detergent and we did not use the machine at all. Fortunately, I had brought an extra tea towel. There was no dish drainer so one tea towel had to be used for that. Only two were provided. We could not find any small plates for our breakfast so used the saucers for toast and the glasses for cereal. The very wide soup plates were not very usable, but the big blue bowl was good for holding fruit and for mixing eggs. the apt needs some more usable crockery. The small saucepan we used a lot had no lid and we had to balance a large lit on its top. The bathroom basin mystified us for a few days till my son arrived home in the same building and found a way from underneath the basin to let out the water that had sat there for three days. We did not lower the plug for the rest of our stay. There is an odd divider between the little dining area and the lounge room that was my bedroom. It seemed to be blue polystyrene with holes and is probably a dust-trap. Something easier to keep clean would be worth the expense. I used the lounge as my bed and it was excellent: long and also wide enough without having to pull it out across the room. I managed with my one towel and one set of sheets - just washed and used them again each wash day. The large table in that room by the window was very useful for my writing, and best of all was the book case full of a wide range of reading. I read several of them. I found the coat cupboard just inside the door very convenient, especially as it had its own light. I have put "average" as my assessment because I realize this is Manhatten. In Australia, this would be "poor" - in isolation - but one can't really compare two very different countries. I was glad to have accommodation so close to my son and daughter-in-law and close to Central Park, the Lincoln Centre and the Metro.Recommended for: Pet owners, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

The apartment was perfect for us.Plenty of room and a well serviced kitchen. Marvellous location so close to shops, metro, theatre and and course Central Park but pretty quite as well for New York. Suggestion- it would be helpful to have another set of keys for the apartment and maybe a plant in the foyer to the apartments.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/5

This is a great apartment--bright, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom look recently updated. And the location is perfect--1/2 block from Lincoln Center, and 1/2 block from Central Park. When you step out the front door, there is a restaurant on your left, on your right, and across the street. It doesn't get better than this.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed for 10 days at the Lincoln Center Apartment and could not have made a better choice! There was only one set of sheets for our stay, but we knew that and had a local laundry place wash and fold and after 3 hrs they delivered fresh sheets and towels for a small fee. The apartment is exactly as described in the pictures and video and we were very comfortable. The wifi worked right away and I was able to skype the kids, that we arrived safely. The location: I can only second the many previous reviews: It's perfect!! Michael and Cristina answered all questions prior to reserving astonishingly fast and there were no surprises during our stay. We will be back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Clean, great location, building nice & quiet. Close to plenty of restaurants and transportation, and Central Park! Perfect for using as a home-base for sight-seeing/etc. Plenty large, but not the world's most comfy sitting area... but you are in NYC so why should you be staying in! Apartment owners professional and pleasant to work with, and refunded damage deposit ASAP. Would absolutely recommend, but if you're looking for luxury, perhaps go to an actual hotel.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

About the owner: Your hosts will be Cristina and Michael. Cristina is originally from Portugal and Michael from Austria. Both love to travel and do not like to stay in hotels. Through this passion they have aquired apartments in Vienna - Austria, Sesimbra - Portugal and Buenos Aires. They have turned this passion into a business and want to provide their fellow travellers with what they would expect in a vacation rental: A clean, affordable and comfortable home!
Why the Owner Chose Upper West Side:
In their NY apartments extra special care was taken to
1. furnish a first class bed with high thread count linens,
2. make sure the noise of the city is at a minimum,
3. be in their neighbourhood, the Upper West Side.
