  We loved, loved, loved this house!!! It is everything that is described!!! We have been coming to Topsail Island for years and this is the first home that we have truly loved!!! The heated pool was great because it was too cold to swim in the ocean. The views through the windows and off of the decks was beautiful!! To wake up every morning and open your eyes and see the ocean...just beautiful!! Very roomy home none of of felt crowded, everyone had their own space!! Loved the dining room table and actually told my husband and step-dad that they need to make me one. Beds were very comfortable!! Even the dog loved the house!! When we are able to come back during the off season again we will rent this home again!!! Highly recommend!!! Also, on a very quiet street!!

  We first rented this property in May 2010 to get a feel for the area and to inquire about rentals for a June 2011 reunion. When I first stepped into this house I knew we would choose it again; and we did; it was so welcoming. As I was putting away our things I felt as if the house was truly cared for; it had a sense of being collected over time. I have always liked the original 2 story style floor plans with bedrooms on the upper level to catch the breeze and ocean sounds that lull you to sleep. Having a spacious laundry on the upper level was an added bonus. Each bedroom having its own bath plus a master was over the top. The upper and main level shaded decks, the den, the seating at the boardwalk end, and the front porch provide spots to get away or to visit. The main living, dining, and kitchen areas are cozy and always seemed to have enough room for everyone and not feel crowded. The pool was a welcomed relief when the wind picked up on the beach and the sand started to fly. Pool service came by twice during our stay to clean and check the water. Linen service for this house was excellent; with having beds made and supplying plenty of bath and kitchen towels. The owner was gracious in giving me a heads-up of the area as well as telling me about a neighboring house. Dolphin Shores is tucked away from the main road giving you a since of community; and the Breakers is a wonderful place. I would recommend this home again and again.

  My family and I spend the first week of June 2006 at the house. This house was very nice and roomy even with 6 adults and 3 children. The bathroom in each bedroom was wonderful--no waiting!! I especially liked the kitchen so that we didn't have to eat out all the time and the washer/dryer because I didn't have to pack as many clothes (that's the Mom comment). The kids loved the pool which made the house better for family fun!!! Being right on the beach and hearing the ocean every morning was heaven. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!!

  We have rented vacation properties for years, and this one is the best. It is comfortable, clean, and on a beautiful beach. The open kitchen/living area was a great place to gather. The upper and lower decks have a fantastic view of the ocean. The upstairs bedrooms are very comfortable, and it is particularly nice that each has its own private bath. There are many windows, and ceiling fans in each room. Even though it was June, we were able to open up and have that wonderful ocean breeze almost all week. The beach is wide, clean, and amazingly uncrowded. When we did manage to bring ourselves to leave the house, we enjoyed a kayak tour from Herrings Outdoor Sports in Surf City, and a day of sailing with Waterways Sailing in Wrightsville Beach. When a relative arrived in the middle of the week, picking him up at the Jacksonville airport was easy. We will definitely try to return and recommend this house to others.

  My family got together for the first time for a beach vacation -- and what a great place to stay!!! The house is fully equipped, beautiful, comfortable and has gorgeous views of the ocean. We plan to stay there again and again!!

  Your cottage exudes relaxation! The furnishings provide interest and hospitality. The decks on both levels allowed everyone a private view of the sunrise. We lingered around the comfortable dining room table as a whole group. The mix of private and group space is just right. Even off season we found plenty to do nearby, on the beach and just lounging. Can't wait to come back!

  This is an exquisite house. It is like being in a Williamsburg home right on the ocean front. Delightfully decorated, yet comfortable; spacious rooms; wondrous lower and upper decks; great boardwalk from house right to the beach with benches at the end of the walkway to sit in the moonlight and watch the light flitter on the sea — it gave us one of the most comfortable and relaxing vacations ever at the beach. It is fully equipped with all applainces including a washer and dryer. The beach wide and not crowded. And the house itself is very private.
