we rented the Crescent Shores cottage as a base for our family to attend Hope College graduation activities. We had previously rented the Red Geranium cottage owned by the same couple but needed more room for our stay this time. We had high expectations and they were thoroughly met. We had plenty of room and comfortable accommodations for all our family and friends. The additional bonus was being able to watch the tulip time fireworks from our front porch. Norma and Dean are charming and helpful. I can't wait to have a reason to return to Holland and rent one of the cottages again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

One of the nice things about our stay was the fact that there were many serving dishes, i.e. chip dip plates, platters, large serving bowls, etc. in the kitchen. We really needed them because the owners were gracious enough to let us have our son's rehearsal dinner on the evening before his wedding. The house was large enough for many house guests and we really needed the space. All the lady's dressing for the wedding really appreciated the large full size mirror in the master bedroom. There were many nice touches. The property owners are lovely people and we certainly appreciated their kindness.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Crescent Shores Cottage was perfect for our family! There were 5 of us and there was still plenty of room to spare. We were able to spread out in the house and still have a cozy atmosphere. The cottage is very clean and beautifully decorated. We walked to the boardwalk that is located on the water. We walked to the Civic Center for the Farmer's Market and went shopping and dining in the Downtown area. What a great place!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

This cottage is even larger than it appears in photos. We recently had 10 adults stay comfortably at the house. It is a very bright and welcoming place just minutes from downtown Holland. Although not right on the lake, the front of the house and master bedroom have beautiful views of the water. The owners are extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I would stay here again in a minute and would highly recommend it!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented both Taylor Cottage and Crescent Shores Cottage for our first family vacation that included our four daughters as well as son-in-laws and a fiance and two young granddaughters! It was just a wonderful time for all! Norma and Dean would be very difficult to beat if there was a contest for best hosts in Michigan!! They go the extra mile in every way. Favorite things.........we loved biking or walking on the boardwalk running lakeside past the Heinz pickle factory, sooooo fun!...........thought the folks with "Ask Me" buttons walking around the town were a great tourist help..........the town of Holland is pristine and the architecture is really lovely.......a special spot to view the sunset on Lake Michigan was a big hit but it is a hike up over the dunes and down the other side which is not for the fainthearted!! (Norma can give directions). I could go on and on. A wonderful vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

Our family of 5 kids age 7 to 18 found the "cottage" to be a perfect fit. The location was perfect - both to activities within holland and short trips to the beach. We especially enjoy ideas Norma shared for the Sagautuck area, just 15 minutes away. Dean and Norma were wonderful -from the ideas of big activities like dune rides or kayaking or the simpleness of the farmer's market or the freighter that came in to holland to unload gravel? The kids each had plenty of space, our 18 yr old had her own room and bath. The other kids shared spacious rooms and the master was excellent. The pool and darts were a hit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Your home was a perfect place for us to stay during the week leading up to our son's wedding in Holland. We really enjoyed our stay, and the house had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the opportunity to swim in your pool. The owners were great to work with and we truly enjoyed Holland, MI - what a nice place for a summer vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had an amazing time at Crescent Shores Cottage. There is so much to do around Holland and Grand Haven, but we loved just sitting at home and hanging out with the family and friends more than anything. We had 2 families of 4 and the house fit us all fine. It is a lovely home and very, very clean. Norma went out of her way to help us with anything we needed. She is extremely nice. Overall, my husband said he doesn't want to came in Holland any more, he wants to rent this house every time!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

It was very clean, had everything you could possibly need, and the beds were a dream!!!! It is a short trip to downtown and the walking trail that is close by is really beautiful. Norma was very sweet hosts and we would love to stay there again! You will love the decor throughout the house, it is cozy and fun!. After renting Taylor Cottage last year and having a wonderful experience, we decided to rent Crescent Shores this year as we had more family joining us. Once again, Norma and Dean were amazing hosts. The cottage was truly fabulous, with everything we needed to have a great family vacation. We appreciated all of the information on Holland that was available, and the beautiful decor of the house. The master suite is enormous, and has a beautiful view of Lake Macatawa. We love the location of both Taylor cottage, and it's neighbor Crescent Shores. So close to downtown Holland, wonderful walking/biking along the Lake to Kollen park, and a very easy drive to any of the Lake Michigan beaches. A special thank you to Dean for coming to our rescue at a moment's notice, and saving our steaks-on-the-grill dinner with an extra propane tank!! See you next year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
