Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2001
We live in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. Ray is semi-retired in the finance field and Elaine is a psychologist in private practice.
Why the Owner Chose Beaver Village
We love downhill skiing and had taken annual trips to Colorado and Utah skiing for years before we decided to "take the leap" and buy our condo. We chose Winter Park because we like the ambiance of this small resort town and liked its location close to family in Evergreen. The ski area, esp. since the expansion, is perfect for us as we are blue-blue/black skiers who want ski terrain variety.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We bought the condo for the skiing and now we have found that we LOVE the summers here. We especially enjoy the beauty of the flower gardens and the sculptures in the town. The wild flowers found on the hiking trails are spectacular. We enjoy the location of our condo because we are so close to downtown, yet it has the feel of being secluded.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. So much in fact that we will be back again in January. The owner was very easy to work with. The unit itself is in great shape! Very nice remodel done recently. The heated bathroom floors were great!!!

Had a last-minute stay in Winter Park over Thanksgiving - the unit was clean and well appointed, very comfortable and quiet. The owner was excellent at communicating details and made us feel very welcome. Since ski/snowboard season has just gotten started, there were not very many other visitors but the shuttle bus picks up right outside of the door - the location could not be more convenient. Pool and hot tub area was also quite nice, you can borrow DVDs for a couple of bucks which is a nice touch. The TV was a little confusing - 3 remotes and we weren't able to figure out how to watch a movie, but it was not a big deal as we had a laptop. Since my own home has a similarly confusing array of remotes, I shouldn't complain. All in all a great place for a quick stay in the Winter Park area. Many thanks.

The condo was wonderful! It was perfectly clean when we arrived. The fireplace and heated bathroom floors were great after skiing! The kitchen is full of everything you could need, so you are able to make dinners in (including chili in the crockpot). We will definitely be back!!

We (2 adults/2 teenage boys) rented this property during the summer while on an extended business trip to the Winter Park area. This recent remodel is wonderfully decorated with all of the amenities, easily meeting the owner's listing description (including location and photographs). On a couple of colder days, we especially appreciated the heated bathroom floors in the mornings, as well the fireplace at night! Views from the two decks are great, with the rear deck being a nice private place to relax and finish up the day's work thanks to their wireless Internet, as well as eat dinner. We cooked a number of meals on-site and found all of the pans, pots and needed utinsils required to cook/serve most anything were supplied, to include some of the more commonly used seasonings and spices in small quantities. The property is an easy walk to other facilities on the resort (hot tub, office, pool, sauna), as well as into Winter Park itself. The boys went hiking every day in the wooded area around the resort and we walked down to town for several meals. Be sure to try Denos for dinner! Shopping for groceries and supplies is a short drive north through town (including a large Safeway and several other options). As described in the listing, the property is on the 3rd floor of the building, and the only access appears to be by stairs, so not recommended for anyone with a walking or climbing disability. This condo was clean and very well maintained. Check-in was easy, even though we arrived late due to road construction on I-70. The resort staff was very helpful throughout our stay. In summary, a great place with a convenient location and very reasonable rates!
