We had a wonderful time - everything we needed was in the condo and it was just as promised. Great location for getting to all activities in Maui. The condo was nice and quiet in the evening and we loved sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evening watching for whales and sunsets, respectively.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

An oasis inside an oasis. perfect weather, best spot to watch the whales- binoculars included. the pool seems to be the center of a cloudless vortex of sun. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else than this clean , comfy home ..... I miss you already , love kelly

We recently came home from 10 glorious days in Maui where we stayed at this beautiful condo. It was so much more than we ever expected and felt right at home from the moment we stepped through the door. We loved how central it was to everything on the island and spent long hours exploring both near and far locations. Above all the beauty we saw on the island, the most beautiful of all was coming "home"! The condo had everything we needed, my kids LOVED the pool and we all lost ourselves in the amazing nightly sunsets. Janet was such a pleasure to deal with; although we have never met, i feel like we were long lost friends. We miss Maui and the Maui Sunset so much; we are already planning our return in 2014! Thank you Janet for everything, you are truly lovely and so is your wonderful home.

Our hearts are sad because we have to leave today and go home. We have had an absolutely magnificent stay in your wonderful condo! You have thought of every last detail to make us so comfortable and happy here. Hear are some comments from our grandchildren, ages 11 & 9: " great views, super tennis, shuffleboard and pool fun, loved our own room, the lanai, playing football and catch on the grass, watching the kite surfing, great TV & music AND Totally Awesome!!" To their comments, all the adults want to add Ditto! We all want to return and spend a whole month! Thank you for a great time.

The twin beds were awesome and no problem at all to put together:) We appreciated all the info you left along with the treats. We snorkeled pretty much every day and enjoyed the sunrise on the volcano, a luau, and a two hour boat tour to see whales up close. However, we got many views right from your deck (with a beverage, friends and a lot of laughs). So again thank you for allowing us into your paradise even for a little while. Lynn

I never dreamed I would get to stay in this unit again with my aunt and uncle who brought me to this paradise the first time in 1999. Thank you for the thoughtful gift basket with all the special goodies. The personal note was so nice too. Everyone was so amazed at the new remodel and loved how you decorated everything. It has truly been a wonderful week here and I'm sad to go back home to cold Washington. The sunsets are like no other place I've been and I will have to send you some pictures. We have enjoyed many beautiful sunsets on the lanai during our stay! We have stayed in this unit many times before, but we have been very blessed to stay in your awesome home this time with all the fabulous changes you've made. Every room is thoroughly equipped with everything you could possibly want or need! Thank you for giving the unit so much TLC. The drapes & carpet with pineapple and palms is just the right touch to complete the picture! This has truly been our home away from home with family and friends! What a fabulous way to spend our Thanksgiving week - we could have easily done a second week, if not for having to go back to school! Your place is lovely; for people that never like to "eat In", we ate in almost every evening, enjoying the fabulous views. Your home has every comfort of home and we were able to relax and enjoy totally. We hope to be back very soon! Thank you for your lovely hospitality! I can't even begin to say how much we all enjoyed our time here. This was our first "real" family vacation and it was time spent together we will never forget. The condo is beautiful and was a perfect base camp for our Maui adventures. We loved the spectacular view from the lanai and master suite; and waking up to birds beats an alarm clock any day! Our four teenagers were all happy here, and that itself was a small miracle! :-) We loved Hana and Haleakala and delicious meals at Coconuts Fish House! We are very reluctant to leave this beautiful condo and area. We feel so lucky to have found you. Every item we might possibly have needed is here, including "tape" for the overflow box that was sent home. The design theme of the condo is delightful. We could tell that a lot of though went into the decorating.

We were all so impressed with your quality furniture, accessories, and abundnance of towels, linens, etc. As well as all the toys available for the little ones. Five of the family joined me in a week of 60th birthday celebration in Maui mid November and A522 was the most perfect location for all of us. Lots of room for 5 seniors who like to stretch out and relax after a long day of enjoying all that the area has to offer. The Maui Sunset complex is great. This particular unit exceeded our expectations.

What a beautiful place to stay for our vacation. Your condo is lovely and hosts some the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. It has been a spectacular 10 days. We snorkeled, biked, zip-lined, dived, kite boarded and managed to find lots of time to relax and enjoy the view from A522. Thank you. We'll be back. Ann What a wonderful time we have had at A522! Every night watching a beautiful sunset and enjoying just being here and not at some fancy restaurant. I had two kite board lessons due to slack winds....but, I did make it up on the board and they say I'm good to go whenever I can get good winds. I'm happy. We did the zip line, scuba, bike etc and made it a very active 60th. glad I'm healthy enough to attempt it. so.....I'm thanking you from all of us and hoping to return some day next year. I was fortunate to match up with you and your condo. I know you are right behind us and the ladies are cleaning everything as I write. We loved the condo! We had such a wonderful time we are talking about when we could come back. The kids had a great time and the sleeping arrangements worked out perfect. It was a nice surprise to see all the water and sand toys in the closet, all the nice beach towels and mats. We wish we could have stayed longer. Mark relaxed and had a great time still working on the heart stuff. If you ever come to Seattle we would love to meet you and John and show you around Seattle.

January 5-14, 2009 We could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend our holiday. The condo was immaculate when we arrived with a greeting from Janet and John. We went through every room and were in awe with the view, the detail in finishing and everything we needed to feel at home.John and Janet have furnished their condo with the best providing luxury and comfort. We enjoyed evenings on the lanai listening to the ocean with a variety of background music. It is truly paradise at the Maui Sunset. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a super time-enjoying the fantastic sunsets and the fabulous "free" whale shows- the unexpected visit of a Monk Seal exploring the island, and enjoying the shopping and restaurants (a little too much!). The Maui Swapmeet was a real test of trying to say "no" to the many "bargains" available! Hopefully, health permitting, we will be able to enjoy this "5 Star" accommodation again in 2011. Dear John & Janet. Every bit as nice as you said it would be-and then some! We saw whales, dolphins, turtles. Did lots of good snorkeling and had mostly perfect weather for our entire stay. Taco Tues at Freds, was a memorable event, but the real highlites were the sunset dinner evenings on your lanai! Great selection of CD's to set the mood. Your home here is a perfect paradise and we thank you for sharing. O Hard to leave the lovely lanai where the vistas, sunsets, etc are extraordinary! Your spacious and lovely condo accommodated all of us with ease. Had a full-on Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Many games of "Mexican Train" on the lanai as the sun sank slowly on the horizon. Wow!! Hi! I just wanted to send a quick email - we had a GREAT time in Maui. The wedding was perfect to sum it up in one word. The weather was perfect, the sunset unbelievable, and we had a wonderful evening at the Seawatch after. I wish I could live the day over and over!! The condo was fabulous. the views are amazing - we watched whales the first morning we were there and had the best view of the sunset. What a great place you have. We were very comfortable and it worked out very well. We are already planning another trip next year and would be very interested in renting your condo again with one or two other couples.
