Why the Owner Chose Palermo Soho
Buenos Aires has been called the "Paris of South America". Within this beautiful city, we especially like Palermo Soho. After exploring different neighborhoods - San Telmo, Recoleta, etc., Palermo Soho was where we most wanted to purchase an apartment. It has lovely streets, lined with trees; very pretty, architecturally interesting buildings; and a vibrant local scene: terrific restaurants of all kinds, fun boutiques, clubs, parks...Muy simpatico!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We want to ensure a wonderful visit.
1. Each time we visit, we upgrade the apartment. The most recent upgrade is the "solarium". You can see in the photos how beautiful it is!
2. WHEN YOU DECIDE TO RENT WITH US, we will send you via email a neighborhood guide, which includes useful contacts including a car service owned by an American (who can pick you up at the airport), and a tango instructor (fluent in 3 languages) !
3. A major benefit of our apartment is RELAXATION! We've created a space that is relaxing, calming, yet with modern conveniences (eg wifi). Ours is the top unit. It has complete privacy, and is quiet. The bedroom opens on to a solarium (sun room),which opens onto the terraza, where you can sit under the jasmine, or sunbathe, or enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of Malbec wine in the evening. Yet we are only a couple blocks away from all that Palermo has to offer.
4. Our manager Pablo is wonderful: fluent in Spanish and English, extremely helpful to our guests.

It was our first trip to Argentina, and we wanted to visit Iguazu Falls and Salta as well as Buenos Aires; this condo was an ideal base. The location is phenomenal; it’s right in the middle of all the energy that is Palermo Soho – original and charming restaurants, shops and entertainment – all within easy walking distance. Yet, it was quiet from street noise as this modern, well stocked condo is in the upper rear of the building. We especially enjoyed the upstairs bedroom, sun room and private terrace. It was so relaxing watching the sunset behind the golden dome amongst the orange trees. The owners obviously care about their place and making it attractive, comfortable and easy for their guests. The local airport for flights within Argentina is in Palermo, so flying to other places was quick and easy from this location. It was a very welcoming place to come back to and began feeling like “home” even though we were there for only 2 weeks. We shall return and highly recommend it to others.

We had no idea how lucky we were to find a spot as magical as this condo! The solarium and terrace were absolutely beautiful and our cats loved every minute of it! Our entire stay was hassle free and relaxing. It was a great start to our six month stay in BA!

After staying at Ed and Megan's beautiful Palermo apartment for 3 months in 2008, I couldn't wait to get back to BA for an even longer stay. To my pleasant surprise, in the two and a half years since my previous stay, they had added a few things to the apartment that made it even more accommodating than before. The upstairs bedroom now opens out into a wonderful solarium, which then opens out onto a terrace scented with jasmine and orange blossoms. Both the solarium and terrace have a perfect view to watch sunsets with a nice glass of red wine. The area of town is ideal. The heart of Palermo Soho can be a bit touristy at times, so being just a few blocks away from the main bustle of Soho is a plus. There are tons of opportunities to shop for local produce and meats...skip the chain markets like Coto, Jumbo, Dia, and Carrefour where all the expats go and get to know some of the local shop merchants. I can think of 10 produce markets within 3 minutes walking distance, all with cheaper, fresher goods and staffed by the friendliest of locals. Tanino's wine shop is right around the corner on Araoz...he stocks some amazing wines and knows his stuff. Right next door to him is La Fachada for empanadas if you don't feel like cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. The property manager Pablo was an absolute joy to work with. If we had any questions or issues, he was right on top of it, and overall was just a great guy to chat with. Overall, our six month stay was our most comfortable and enjoyable vacation rental stay ever. In a bustling city like BA, it was so nice to have a refuge to relax and take in the sites of a typical porteno neighborhood from the terrace. We will definitely miss it!
Owner response:Thank you!!! We loved having you as guests, and thank for you letting us use the photo of Bella to notify renters that pets are allowed!

just my luck we arrived and the next day the bathtub overflowed and continued all week the owner could care less
Owner response:We were in frequent telephone touch with the renter and our then manager during the plumbing problem and got a plumber to the apartment as soon as possible (it was an Argentinean holiday). In the months that followed (the client was not there November 3 2010 as he states, but in April 2010), 1) we have found a new manager who is absolutely wonderful and "on point", including rapid responsiveness to any client concerns, and 2) we have not had a repeat of the plumbing problem. We are very concerned that renters have an excellent experience in Buenos Aires and hope the reader reads this view in the context of the many other positive reviews.

We arrived in BA 6 days late, after being unexpectedly delayed in Santiago, Chile, during the earthquake. We cancelled our plans to go to Iguazu and Uruguay, and decided to spend the rest of our holiday in BA. We're so glad we did. Fortunately the Cabrera apartment was still available, and it was perfect for our needs - quiet, clean and comfortably furnished, an ideal place for us to enjoy our time in Buenos Aires and relax after our experience in Chile. We loved having the 2 floors and the terrace was perfect for our morning coffee. There are lots of great restaurants, shopping, coffee bars, bakeries close by. For tango dancers (and I must admit that we're not dancers), there's a popular milonga only a few minutes away, plus we enjoyed a couple of very good jazz bars in the area. After 10 days, we returned home saying that if we were ever to buy an apartment in Buenos Aires, we'd want one just like this one!

We absolutely loved this apartment. We are seasoned travelers, who were visiting Buenos Aires for the first time, and could not have been more happy with the apartment itself, and the location...we will be back

I had a lovely time at this apt. It was very well appointed, comfortable and so close and convenient to wonderful cafes, restaurants and shops. Cabs were readily available on either corner. The food market was just a block or so away. A perfect vacation spot.

We loved our stay at this beautiful apartment that made us very much feel like Buenos Aires was our home away from home. The apartment is beautifully cared for by its owners and its location is ideal. As much as we enjoyed walking through the city and taking short road trips to Iguazu and Uruguay, we always looked forward to coming home. I would definitely stay here again!

This place is beautiful. The accommodations are comfortable, the location is great with cafes and shopping within walking distance. There is more than enough room for 3-4 guests. And the views from the terrace at night are quite lovely. I would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Buenos Aires.

My stay at this condo was one of the best stays I had ever in Buenos Aires. It's location is excellent and accessible to the bus line & other means of transportation. Everything you need to make your vacation the best is in walking distance. The condo is fantastic and if you want a place to just relax and just sit in peace with your thoughts, this is the place to stay at. I will be back. Kudos to the owners for a great job in their taste in furniture, design, and achieving the peaceful ambience in the condo.
