This beautiful, newly renovated cabin is a wonderful base camp for your ski vacation to Crystal Mountain! Located only 80 miles from Seattle and 20 minutes from Crystal, it makes for a great weekend – or longer! – getaway.

This wonderful house sits on 10 wooded acres in Crystal River Ranch, just outside of Greenwater, Washington. The living room has a huge stone fireplace, wood floors, and a vaulted A-frame ceiling. The open format dining room seats 6 comfortably, and has room for 8. The fully-stocked kitchen has a brand new refrigerator and stove and provides the gourmet cook with all they need to turn out wonderful meals for the group.

Also on the first floor are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full size bed, and a full bathroom. The mud room, complete with full size washer and dryer, provides a great place to stash wet skis, boots, and gear.

Upstairs, there is a beautiful master bedroom with 15 foot A-frame ceilings, skylights, and a cozy queen bed. There is a separate sitting loft, complete with a queen futon, wood burning fireplace, and TV which can be used for relaxing or extra sleeping space. A second full bathroom is upstairs, too.

Outside, the large deck has a grill and plenty of space for hanging out. There is also plenty of parking available.

The house is available for groups of up to 8. Pets may be allowed, depending on the size and number, with an additional deposit.

  • My wife and I have stayed in this cozy cabin several times including both winter and summer and we have had excellent experiences each time. The cabin is very comfortable and the open loft area allows for a sizeable group to congregate while the separate bedrooms give plenty of privacy. The huge two story stone fireplace is especially cheery after a day of skiing and radiates heat throughout the cabin. We were surprised by the extent of the kitchen facilities which were more than sufficient for our stay. There is a huge National Forest area immediately adjacent to the property with lots of opportunity for hiking in the summer or cross county skiing in the winter. And, if you like wildlife, you'll be amazed at the resident elk herd that can be seen at almost anytime somewhere in the vicinity. I got some great photos of a large bull tracking a cow right thru the front yard. (she wasn't interested!) Of course the skiing at Crystal is fantastic and would provide a challenge for any level skiier and at much more reasonable rates than the big name resorts. Probably much less well know is the amazing opportunities for hiking in the Crystal Mountain ski area where many well marked trails exist. While I haven't yet had an opportunity, the fly fishing in the area should be pretty good also. There is a nice looking stream about a two minute walk from the cabin. One of the things that makes this place so enjoyable is the peace and quiet which my wife and I love. However, the small nearby town of Green Water had just about everything we needed including a great place for breakfast and dinner and a local sports bar with tasty burgers and beer. We really love Seattle and get there fairly often to visit family. This place makes a terrific side trip and is only about 90 min. away. We will definitely be back. Mike Hardy

  • This was an incredibly relaxing, charming place. My kids loved it -- the nature walks down to the river, the nice play ground near by, and especially elk sightings. My husband and I loved it as the accommodations were fantastic and very comfortable (fully equipped kitchen, great linens, even selection of books to read).

  • We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful mountain cabin. I can't imagine a better location that is so beautiful, and such a short drive from Seattle. It is so peaceful, quiet, and secluded and near the beautiful river and Mt. Ranier, but is also just a few blocks from a wonderful playground for the kids and even a short drive to town if you need to pick something up. The cabin is lovely and has great spaces that work very well for a single family or even three families with kids. It has everything you need for a short trip or a long vacation. The front porch is fantastic for BBQs and has lots of room for hanging out with family and friends. And I like that the driveway is really long so that kids can have lots of room to play. I highly recommend it, and we'll definitely be staying here again.

  • We had a short visit in this wonderful cabin, but found it to be cozy, comfortable, extremely well-equipped and convenient to Crystal Mt. We look forward to going back for a longer visit.
