  We had the pleasure of staying in this unit for 10 days earlier this month (already feels like years ago!!!). It was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to move around in. The corner unit is nice because you get a little extra space on the balconies. This complex is in the perfect location, not far from Red Hook restaurants. The beach is beautiful and the pools are nice. Close to the ferry for a quick trip to St. John to spend a day. Had a nice daysail on the Fantasy with Cpt. Pam Heath - definitely worth doing. Still like the Caribbean Fish Market, Pesce and Molly Malone's restaurants. Senior Pizza is good if you are in the mood. We also went up to the Sapphire Bistro on the hill across the marina. They had some jazz during the week and weekend. Looking forward to coming back next year!! We definitely would recommend this to unit to anyone coming to Sapphire Beach.

  There is too much I want to write as to how beautiful this place is, I could write a novel that goes on forever........ As many have said, the pictures you see on any site of Sapphire Beach and especially the Sapphire web cam, do not do this unit justice. You are in the best possible location you can imagine! You are out of the crowd on heavy cruise ships days, but can "people watch" all of them if you want from each of the two floors, but the passengers are all at buildings A, B, and a little at the start of C. It is so easy to have your own "private" like beach, or go down and mingle with people on the heavy cruise ship days. There is only about 2 heavy cruise ships days for a week and you really do not notice the difference, PERFECT location! The beach for buildings D and E is not nearly as nice. If you want complete quiet go to D and E, but from this corner unit of C you have EVERYTHING! Views, people to mingle with if you want, people watching, snorkeling, quiet if you want...... it's just perfect! I am not a big time experienced world traveler yet, but I went with 3 others who are. When we first walked in and walked out to the HUGE balcony of the first floor they were all in awe. I still hear them talking on the phone to people about how they could sit there forever on the deck and just look out all day at the beauty! (this includes all of the Hawaiian islands, Aruba, Bahamas, Australia, Majorca and many other places) Good Tips: The silverware/cooking utensils are stocked more than my kitchen at home and I like to cook! Red Hook is so close! Ferries to go almost anywhere are right in Red Hook, so close! 3 seniors in my group, 2 very unactive, do not let the 3rd and 4th floor scare you. You really only go up 1 set of steps to get in and it is very easy! Very safe snorkeling, even when the waves/wind is up! If you just take a step or two in with goggles on and stick your head underwater you will see colorful fish, lots of them! If you want to go out more it is just as easy and you walk right in and go! It is quite amazing for a walk in beach, nothing like Florida, including the keys. I was amazed with what you can see just knee high! "THE VIEW"! Unreal, can't state it enough but I have plenty of pictures and video! The balcony on the first level is HUGE and WONDERFUL! Duffy's Love Shack, a shack in the middle of stores, some of the best flavors you will find in food!

  Thank you Chuck for the perfect place to stay! The condo is in excellent condition, comfy bed, great shower, and the most breath-taking view of paradise! It is even better in person! This was the first time we rented from VRBO and Chuck was so helpful and accommodating, made it so simple. The location is perfect, great beach right outside your door and close to other things such as dining, ferries, and other beaches. So glad we chose this condo. Thanks again Chuck!

  We stayed in Chuck's condo and loved every minute of it! Everything was updated, beautifully designed, and extremely tasteful. The beds were excellent, the view was spectacular, and the facilities provided everything we needed. We celebrated our 60th anniversary with our family, and this condo was perfect for sleeping six of our group. We hated to leave Sapphire Beach. The beauty, the activities, and the weather were all perfect! Chuck has a knack for decorating! Just walking into the condo was a treat. It is tasteful, beautiful, and welcoming. Everything that is needed for a perfect vacation is in this condo. Views from the balcony are spectacular! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is perfectly equipped, and the condo feels much larger than it is! What a joy it was to experience the beauty and conveniences that Sapphire Beach offers. We rarely left the facilities because so much is offered right on the property! We'll be back!

  PROS I have been to Daytona, Myrtle, Hawaii, etc and Sapphire Beach weather, water, breezes, scenery, colors, etc and the right amount of people make it a great ...super great beach. The villa is right on the beach. Great views, great roomy decks, on 3rd and 4th floor which this one is. Not a party beach but a fun, family, relaxing gorgeous beach so great we never got in the pool. Food on the beach very good. Even entertaining snorkelling right on the beach. Drinks on the beach easy. I spent 5 of 7 days on the beach all day and never got board or wanted to leave. Resturaunts you have to drive to either get a cab or rental but 5 minutes away. Lots of nice places and you will pay for it. Plus this is close to Red Hook town conveniences and ferry to St John. We had two couples and this double room was great. CONS 6 might be a little crowded. Food is pricey no matter where you go. Parking in red hook is messy so maybe a cab in the busy season instead of a rental. Maid service is good but not always on time. Chuck handles immediately if you call him on anything. Locals not all that friendly. Summary This is one place I might go to more than one time. This beach and condo is underrated. We stayed May 12-20 8 nights and did not want to leave.

  I stayed in this unit during spring break with my 14 year old son and fiance. It was just like being at home! The resort is not pretentious and formal; exactly what suits us! This unit was quiet, clean and roomy. While we could definitely have used more counter space for food prep., everything else was great. There were some beach "toys" for us to use, and the dive shack is on the beach, so there's no need to bring anything from home, for the water - except a cooler! We had two small coolers we took the beach each day, and just reloaded our cups when we made lunch in the room! We stopped at Kmart and the grocery store in Tutu, and loaded up with food and beverages for the week! This 2nd/3rd floor unit give you a beautiful view of nearly everything. While we were there, the winds were from the east, and somewhat strong. However, D building blocked all the winds and we could sit on the balconies in pure comfort. Everyone was very friendly at the resort - even the guests from the cruise ships! We met so many interesting people, right at the water's edge! I highly recommend this unit for families. Two tv's, internet access and large balconies offered something for each of us! I'm very happy that we chose this unit, and we are already planning a trip for next year!!!

  Perfection! We just returned from five days in Chuck’s condo and we continue to be completely in awe of how perfect our vacation was. This was our first trip to the island(s) and our first time renting via. VRBO so we had lots of questions and concerns. No matter how many reviews we read and how much information we received from Chuck, we still were not prepared for the sheer beauty, comfort, and relaxation we experienced. Chuck provided so many details ahead of time that our experience was seamless from our arrival at the airport, transportation to the condo, gaining access to the condo, finding transportation to everywhere we chose to visit, and even recommendations on some of the best restaurants. The condo is fully stocked with every amenity we desired and has tons of storage for all personal belongings. The photos of the condo and surrounding views are even more beautiful than what the photos show. If you long to be lulled to sleep by the sounds of crashing waves and Caribbean breezes gently blowing in the windows, this is the condo you want. Being this condo is a corner unit, there are two wrap-around balconies and two sets of glass door walls on each floor which provide cross breezes and truly stunning views. Thank you, Chuck, for being so helpful. It is evident you take great pride in providing your guests with the ultimate vacation experience.

  I've stayed in numerous places around the world on both business and leisure travel and I have to say this was one of the best. The condo is a corner unit with two balconies overlooking Sapphire Beach, and is perfectly appointed and well maintained. It has a kitchen and full refrigerator, so we cooked in for some of our dinners and had almost all of our breakfasts and lunches there, which saves both time and money. Almost anything we could have wanted was in the condo. It's tastefully decorated with a blue-green ocean theme and has nice furnishings including a comfortable king-sized bed and a pull out couch. The owner pays attention to every detail and the fact that he stays there himself shows in how well it is kept. It really was more like staying in a friend's place than a hotel, especially since the owner actually cares that you have a good time and provides so much help to make your trip a joy. We definitely plan to return next year and are grateful for such a fabulous rental.

  Stayed at this condo 8/6/11 - 8/13/11. The condo is nicely furnished and situated right on the beach. There is a small marina right across the parking lot that has excursions you can do to St.Johns and to British Virgin Islands. This keeps you from having to take a taxi to Red Hook about 5 minutes away. Being 5 minutes away from Red Hook makes it hard to go out for groceries and dinner. Taxis are available at Sapphire Resort but you pay person. This can become expensive after a few days if you have several people in your party. The only real concern I had with this condo was the local person that was to be there if any problems occured. Overall I would say he was not reliable or dependable. I called him prior to departing for St. Thomas to let him know when we would be arriving. He offered to pick us up from the airport and transport us back when we left. Also included was to be a trip to the grocery store to pick up supplies for the condo. We were late in arriving due to weather, I kept him up to date of our arrival, but when we landed he was not there. We waited for awhile since we had not arrived at the regular time scheduled. I finally called and he stated he was on the way. When he arrived he was apologetic and offered to stop at a small grocery store in Red Hook on the way to the condo that night. He said he would come back the next day and take us to the larger grocery store so we could purchase the rest of our week long supplies. He did not show up at the time we had discussed. When I called him he said he was hung up in St. Johns and would not be there. The before our departure I again called him and confirmed the time he would be there to take us to the airport. The next day he did not show up on time and I waited another 15 minutes (Island Time thing) and he was not there. I called and left message on his voice mail reminding him that he was to take us to the airport. Someone knocked on the door about 5 minutes later, it was one of the Sapphire Beach Resort employees that he had called instead of calling the condo phone. He told her to let us know he could not get there and we should get a taxi. The problem with that was against my better judgement I had paid him for the transportation both ways the night we got to St. Thomas. I told the Sapphire beach resort employee that this would be at his expense and I could tell she was not aware of that. She was nice enough to get us a cab and pay for it, only hope that she was reimbursed by Sam.

  Owner response: As the owner of the Corner Villa Condo I am committed to guests fully enjoying my condo and having a wonderful vacation experience. The local person in question has offered airport pick-up and drop-off services in the past but has ceased this operation. I recommend that guests only use rental vehicles or valid taxis/van services, not locals offering transportation.

  What a great place to stay! I stayed here for five nights with my boyfriend and two other friends. This unit was even better than I expected and so was the view. Having two floors with two full baths and two balconies was amazing. The only "downfall" was that the power went out for a day, but this is typical on the island. We spent the whole day on the beach so it didn't bother us! We will definitely be back and I've already recommended this condo to everyone I know! Thank you, Chuck! And Sam! : )
