Secluded Island Getaway in Paradise.... Solitary farmhouse situated on 10 acres of pristine, oceanfront, "hobby farm" land with amazing views of both Vancouver Island and the BC mainland. Very private and tranquil setting. Perched on the crest of the hill above the beach, this waterfront acreage is the perfect accommodation for eagle watching and wildlife viewing.
On the farm are heritage fruit trees(90+ years old), a vegetable garden, chickens, ducks, 3 goats, and a horse. The animals pens are away from the house and their minimal daily care means someone comes by once or twice a day. It shouldn't interfere with your privacy, and a schedule can be worked out in advance. Fresh organic produce and farm fresh eggs can be shared during your stay.
Recently updated 2 bedroom farmhouse. Antique clawfoot tub. Outdoor shower. Wrap-around deck underneath grape vines.
Lots of room to run and play... swings, badminton net, tether ball... great for kids.
Island Activities include Wildlife tours, Kayaking, some of the worlds best diving in the world, Salmon fishing, cycling, museums, beautiful lakes great for swimming, art galleries, farmers market, yoga retreats, bodywork. A hiking trail nearby leads through the majestic forest along the beach. A private yacht is available for charters. Day fishing packages can be arranged with native guides. We stayed for a week at the Farm House with our dog and experienced true island welcome. The house was quaint, the setting is quite spectacular with the ocean just below the bluff, we enjoyed having the animals on site and our dog loved the space to roam freely. The father of the owner came every day to look after the goats and he was helpful and more than happy to share local knowledge. We met some really nice friends of his who gave us even more tips on things not to miss on the island. We would definitely recommend this property for a nice relaxing stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This was our second visit to Quadra Island and the farmhouse; and, it was everything we remembered and more. The location is wonderful and quiet except for the screech of the resident eagle, the gobbles of the turkeys, and the bleats of the goats. We took our grandchildren last year and they spent a glorious few days feeding chickens, beach combing, and rolling down the grassy slopes. The views are outstanding and the location can't be beat. The small town of Quathiaski Cove has a grocery store, restaurants, a book store and other amenities. There is also a charming pub with wonderful meals and locals to chat with. We fell in love with the farm, the people and the island the first year and are already looking forward to next year's visit... our third and definitely not our last.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
