In all the houses we've rented for vacations and family gatherings, this is the most thoroughly furnished. Not a single detail has been over looked! It is like being in our own home. Thank you for your hospitality and the glorous week we've spent in this beautiful country.

This house is perfect, great decor, clean; cozy, close to town and park entrance. We are so comfortable here, we want to stay forever! This a.m. while fixing coffee we saw two large deer right out the side window. Yellowstone is truly a national treasure.

Susan, once again we really enjoyed our stay at Elk Crossing...two years in a row. Your home provides comfort, warmth and the perfect base for our Yellowstone vacation. We did it all! Fly fishing with Madison River Outfitters, River Rafting with Montana White Water, Zip lining, and sight seeing throughout the Park. We did a great 7 mile hike on the Fairy Loop--some beautiful views of meadows and mountains. Yellowstone is one of our favorite locations for a vacation and we love your home. Thanks again, Susan, for your kindness to our family.

We had a great time in Yellowstone seeing bears, wolves, bison, elk, and moose. Fishing in the Firehole was wonderful, and the weather was perfect. One night we went to the "Bar N Ranch" for dinner after a long day in the Park. Excellent food, service, and view. Thank you so much!

May 27 - June 3, 2011 We arrived to your home in snowy weather. Upon opening the door, we were welcomed into beautiful and comfortable surroundings. We certainly enjoyed our stay here. You certainly thought of everything in the kitchenware department. Beef stew from the crockpot certainly tasted great after a day of hiking. Yellowstone was a perfect park for hiking and animal watching. Although some of the trails we had initially chosen were inaccessible due to snow. There was always somewhere else to go and enjoy this beautiful area. Thank you so much or sharing your beautiful home! The Kruzels and the Laramies

Elk Crossing is a lovely vacation home and convenient for your Yellowstone NP vacation. Open floor plan and large kitchen fully stocked with dishes and cookware and large deck with small Weber gas grill. Beautiful home! The bedrooms are small but adequate. It is in a rural neighborhood with plenty of space between vacation homes. Our family of 6 greatly enjoyed this home and recommend it completely!! A home is so much more comfy than motel rooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We enjoyed cooking at "home" and being close to explore the town. While in the Yellowstone area be sure to take the Firehole Canyon Drive to see beautiful Firehole Falls!! We didn't see bears in the park but greatly enjoyed seeing them at the wonderful Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. It's very interesting and well done!! Your pass to the center allows you to visit for two consecutive days. Be sure to see the film about the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone. Very good film. We also recommend a whitewater rafting trip on the Yellowstone River using Flying Pig Adventure Company. On the full day trip lunch is served in a cabin where we were glad to warm up on a chilly day. Great guides! In downtown W. Yellowstone, be sure to see the rock shop if you are a rock hound like me. Richard has a beautiful selection!! So much to see in amazing Yellowstone NP!!!

So we had a nice little birthday celebration here. We had a blast on this trip and enjoyed both Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We would recommend staying at Elk Cross to our friends.

The place was everything we expected. Enjoyed watching the mountain bluebirds and tree swallows raised their young in the bird houses. For food: Ernies has very good breakfast and lunch sandwiches. We highly recommend them. Dan used the provided internet (wireless) to search for squatters rights in Montana. After finding no hope we were forced to pack and leave. But seriously, you have a very nice place and we had a great time. Thanks.

It sure was nice to make some our own meals in the convenience of home. We have admired the various framed prints throughout the house - both the local prints and the flower prints (especially liked the roses in the master bath). Thank you for the thoughtful touches that have made this a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the mountain blue birds.

Thanks for making your house available, it was roomy enough and very comfortable for the seven of us. We really appreciated the well appointed kitchen and grill! The photos on the walls are super! Although, the closed section of Grand Loop Road put a damper on some of our plans. The location of the house is good to go in and out of the Park including early horse back riding at Canyon Coral. Today we hung around in the morning and then took a wonderful kayak down the river into Hayden Lake. Dave and Bob of Lava Creek Adventures are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We left some brochures! Jim, Val, Jess, and Tori

My brother, the morning person, enjoyed opening all the shades at 5:30 each morning so he could watch day break in his "great room". May 22 - 29, 2009 Jefferson City, MO What a fabulous vacation we had based here in West Yellowstone. This home was the perfect place to call home base as we explored Yellowstone. The amenities were great - everything we needed was at our fingertips. Some nights we stayed "home" and grilled buffalo steaks and other meals we ate out. We especially enjoyed the Old Town Cafe; chili, chicken noodle soup was superb. Of course, the huckleberry ice cream for dessert was yummy too. If in the mood for chai tea, go to Go Go Expresso. Thanks Susan! May 28, 2009 Joplin, MO We had a great time. We saw buffalo, elk, deer, moose, coyote, fox and bears. My favorite thing was the house , it was so awesome. The sights were very amazing. We took a tour with Yellowstone Alpen guides of the lower loop which was very informative. The next day we did our own tour of the upper loop and Lamar Valley. This section was truly spectacular and our personal favorite. In Lamar Valley we saw (in addition to buffalo which are everywhere) bears, big horn sheep, bald eagle, antelope, elk, and coyote. The Root Family, August 2-8, 2008, Illinois The house was perfect for our vacation. You've done a wonderful job with all the accommodations. We saw the mother moose and her two calves. Spent every day in the park and saw everything from geysers and hot springs, to buffalo, grizzly bear, elk, and a bald eagle. Had a great time horseback riding and whitewater rafting; hiked many trails including Mystic Falls, Natural Bridge and Grand Canyon (South Rim). It was nice to come back after a long day to a nice clean, spacious house. Thanks! I loved your house. We went white water rafting and horseback riding, too. Jarid I loved the house. It had so much space and it was clean. I loved the wall hangings and pictures throughout the house. I really felt as if I was at home. :) Jenny Thanks so much! I loved the house. My sister was about to pack her bags and buy the house. I'm glad that I found a paper in your house about the "Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center". It was the first time I ever saw a wolf. We also got a checklist game, where you have to try to find the animals on the list in Yellowstone. The only animals we didn't see was the bighorn sheep, black bear, and the white pelican. Jackie Thank you for letting us stay in your house. Jace We enjoyed this vacation and your home very much. I think we were able to do just about everything we had wanted to do. We saw almost all of Yellowstone (a lot of driving). We saw many animals including a bear, the moose in the back yard, elk, coyotes, etc. The geysers and scenery was incredible. We also got to go horseback riding and whitewater rafting, that was great! We swam in the boiling river and that was cool too. We had many long days that started very early and it was nice to come back into your beautiful home. I think it had just about everything and was very comfortable. The view is very beautiful. When can we move in! Ha Ha! Karin

We saw the mother moose and her two calves on our first morning here. We also saw elk just up the trail. Our boys and their friends had a great time playing football in the yard while we BBQ. This has been a great trip. Susan, the house is great. The trip highlights: swimming in the Firehole river, white water rafting, spotting bull elk, going to the rodeo and so much more! We also enjoyed running on the forest service road, swimming in the river, touring the Grizzly center and great weather.
