We had a wonderful stay, great accommodations, fit our needs perfectly. Beautiful grounds! The villa was close to excellent restaurants. Would suggest that some of the pots/pans be replaced otherwise kitchen was great for preparing a meal. Thanks to the owners for a comfortable stay.

Spacious villa close to HH amenities

We have just got back from our 2 week holiday in this villa and have had a great time. The villa is spacious and bright and the master bed (the only one we used) is very comfortable indeed. Air con works well and there are 2 full bathrooms with good showers. The villa is close to the pool and being on ground level easy to access, although, on reflection, we would have preferred a second floor property as this would have allowed us to have more sun on the wraparound porch.It is close to many HH amenities and it is possible to walk to many restaurants for dinner.The place is very nicely kept and we had no problems.

Had a wonderful week at your Villa. Beautiful weather, and easily accessible to Beech and Pool as well as other Island attractions. Close enough to Savannah for a nice day trip to see the sight there as well. Hope to make this a new Annual event and will be back next year!

Great Escape

This is a great spot. Our family enjoyed our vacation very much. The villa is so spacious and is fully equipped right down to any kitchen utensil you made need. Convenient parking and close to the pool. We especially enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio which was so private. Would highly recommend this villa

Quiet Villa, Very Relaxing Private Patio

Great trip! Love the patio/porch area- so private, secluded and restful- a perfect spot for morning coffee and a few chapters of a favorite book. Convenient to pool, parking, bike racks and everything else Palmetto Dunes has to offer.

Susan and Steve, The week we spent at your villa was exceptional and went by way too fast! The villa was as good or better than depicted in the photos. There was plenty of space and sleeping room for the few days our family was together. It is very nicely decorated and comfortable with everything needed to make it enjoyable for everyone. With it being centrally located it was convenient to all the "running" we had to do to get ready for our son's wedding. Susan and Steve, Thank you so much for providing us an opportunity to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation in your delightful St. Andrews condominium. My family was pleased to discover the Wi-Fi which allowed them to check their office emails before spending the day at the beach! Your condo had all the comforts of home (especially useful were the washer and dryer!). We would recommend your second home to anyone interested in a peaceful, quiet location with a comfortable decor and personal touches(Susan's wonderful paintings) that make visitors feel at home. We spent the last week of Jan and first week of Feb at the Philpott's Villa and had a wonderfull time. It was our first visit to Hilton Head and we enjoyed every minute. The villa is clean and comfortable and we recommend it highly, and intend on returning next year.

The villa was perfect for us to meet up with friends from Ohio. It was clean, comforatble and convenient. The pool was steps away - the kids loved it. The beach was minutes away with easy access at the Disney Beach area. The bike trails are wonderful. We have stayed at Palmetto Dunes for the past 5 years and truly enjoy the area and this villa was a great find and a place we hope to make a yearly stop.

I wanted to be certain to add a comment about this wonderful Villa. We just returned from 4 nights. We had a wonderful time, the villa is decorated as if a designer from one of those magazines just designed it. It is peaceful and so very clean. We loved watching the turtels (we counted 41) at the pond by the pool. The bike trails are so pretty. It felt like we had escaped to a different world. We love this villa and will be back soon.

A must for those who enjoy a clean, beautifully appointed villa! The Philpots were most gracious with their villa. They allowed use of their personal bikes, beach towels, etc. We truly enjoyed our week in their home and we hope to return some day!

We have just returned from our 3d year in your villa over Thanksgiving holidays. We have never been disappointed in the condition or amenties but this year was the best by far; new appliances were top quality plus the new TV was a great addition! Your paintings gave the villa that extra touch that made it definately a family atmosphere! Any vacation to HH will definately be in your villa! Thanks for everything!

My family had a great time here! A beautiful, bright villa, close to the pool for refilling all those frozen drinks we made. The pool was cleaner that those in the resort hotels, and the entire St. Andrews community is beautifully landscaped and maintained. In the villa, the master bed was so comfortable, I'm going to get one. The living room is cozy and configured perfectly for family movie nights. Will try to stay here again the next time we're headed to HHI.

This is our second year at this wonderful place. All I can say is that it was just as much fun this year as it was last year. This is a very spacious and beautifully decorated villa. Dear Susan, All we can say is wow!!! What a wonderful vacation. What a great villa you have. Very nicely decorated, meticulously clean and very spacious, even for our family of five. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were first class quality. The entire villa was well stocked with amenities, from the kitchen to the family board games. The location was bright, tropical, very peaceful and quiet. Everything is truly nearby. The beach was only a minute away and the pool was only steps away. We just returned from a wonderful stay at your villa. It is the best equipped condo we've ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything I needed, the kids enjoyed the games, puzzles, beach toys, bikes and we all appreciated the quality linens and comfortable beds! We had one child sleep on the pull out loveseat in the sunroom and even it was comfortable. You've obviously put alot of thought into the comfort of your guests and we couldn't have been more pleased. We will stay at your villa whenever in Hilton Head!

We just spent a long weekend at this lovely villa. It is very spacious, nicely decorated and convenient to everything. It's only a few minutes to the beach and to the main road 278. The beds were very comfortable which is a plus for me. I usually have a hard time sleeping away from home but not this time. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to stay at Hilton Head and be close to the beach but not right on the beach. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

For the last 2 years we have rented this villa. We love it. It is decorated so beautifully with lots of windows making it very bright and cheerie. Everything in the villa is up to date and in good condition. It is also maintained so well making it very welcoming and homey. The pool and golf course are just walking distance from the door. You are just minutes away from the beach, shopping and restaurants. The location in St. Andrews Common is away from all the traffic and noise. It's a wonderful place to rent.

My Husband& I have been visiting on HHI for the las 30 years and have stayed in Palmetto Dunes, Island Club and Shipyard Plantation. Five years ago we were lucky enough to rent 1771 St Andrews Common and have been returning ever since. The Villa is beautifully furnished and bright and sunny. The kitchen is equipped with everything one would need..the beds were replaced last year and are extremely comfortable. In our opinion it is one of the nicest units in Hilton Head and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Elizabeth Thompson

The Philpotts would like to welcome you to our villa's website. We love 1771 St. Andrews Common, as it is so spacious,sunny and private. The patio is especially cozy to sit on and read a book, drink a cup of morning coffee, read the paper, feel the warmth of the sun, or grill out supper on our mini grill. Here you can also hear the relaxing sound of the fountain on the lagoon by the pool, which is just steps away, but not too close for comfort. You'll love St.Andrews Commons because it is quiet, has beautiful landscaping, and each unit is clustered into 4's, so it is much more like a home than an apartment. The pool and clubhouse have a beautiful view of a fountained lagoon and the Fazio Golf course- all just steps away from our villa. Being close to the pool this way is nice if you have kids. We were attracted to Palmetto Dunes because we love the beach, tennis, golf, and shopping convenience of the mall at Shelter Cove across from Palmetto Dunes. Although we rent the villa, we take care of it along with our housekeeper like it is our second home, and would like to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
