  From the moment my husband and I walked into this cabin on Buck Mountain, we fell in love with the place! All weekend my husband kept saying, "It feels like we've come home." No noise, no street lights, nothing but peace and quiet and relaxation. The lay-out is perfect, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is so well equipped, it's almost better than home! If you are looking for a place to relax and just do nothing, this is the perfect place. And if you're looking for fun without going too far, there's a waterfall close by and a pond you can fish in. We loved the place so much, we're going back again next month! Highly, highly recommended.

  We had a great time during our brief stay. The cabin was in great condition, and only a 35-40 minute drive to the Boone area, which is where we were spending the afternoon. There is also a nice waterfall you could hike or drive to.

  I grew up in Catawba County and I knew there wasn't much around Wilkesboro when I was there the last time (which has been years).We were kinda nervous about our stay. Boy was I wrong! We enjoyed the area very much! The cabin was very nice and comfortable. Very well maintained and clean. All accessories were there for us. We didn't have to buy a thing. Most places after the first roll of paper towels you supply the next roll. It was very well equipped. Nice sleeping area and nice bathrooms. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend to anyone that they stay there. We ate most of our meals at the cabin. We did go out one night to Tiptons. V E R Y n i c e!! Good food. We will definitely come back again!

  This is by far one of the best places we had the pleasure of staying. The cabin is nestled on a quiet, secluded gated community. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough for food and entertainment (if that is what you seek). There is so much to do in this area, which I must admit, really surprised us. We would differently recommend this cabin to anyone who want tranquility. We are presently planning our next trip back so we can enjoy all Wilkesboro and Boone have to offer.

  My family spent eleven nights at this beautiful cabin with attention to detail. The Buck Mountain community was very nice, it has a wonderful waterfall with a trail that we hiked to the top of the fall. We also went on other hikes on the many trails through out the community. Everyday I would see deer from the roadway to the trails. There is also a stocked fish pond where I did a few hours of fly fishing. The location was also very close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk which were some of our favorite towns to explore. My family and I enjoyed this cabin very much and would not hesitate to stay there again. The owner is a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with.
