It has a downstairs private bedroom with a queen bed and the upstairs has 3 twin beds. Pull out couches can sleep a few more. It has large windows for a view of the sun setting behind the mountains. A horse peeks over the fence near your window. Our goats nearby in the pasture are pets, and they love to be hand fed.
'THE SWEETPEA CABIN' is 700 sq. feet, cute and cozy and is located behind the yellow farmhouse. It has beds on a second floor, a bathroom downstairs, and a galley kitchen. The living area has a flat screen HD TV over the gas fireplace, recliner chairs, and a breakfast bar with 4 stools for dining. The fireplace warms you in the winter and 2 wall air-conditioners cool the cabin in the summer. The decor is 'sports pub'. We just spent the week at the Sweet Pea. We had a great time and I have already recommended it to several others. It is in easy driving distance to both Lake Lure (take the boat tour) and to Chimney Rock which is a great little place to explore. We also had a beautiful drive to Asheville.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

There are over 5 guest books at the farm, all filled by happy guests with positive comments about their unique experiences on the farm. Too numerous to list, but it is a fun read while in a hammock by the creek.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

About the owner: Hi from Sandy and Frank Godzik. We had been entertaining guests at our Rumbling Bald condo for 13 years and now invite you to our beautiful farm, where we have been renting cabins for 7 years. The years of our experience catering to guests and making them feel welcome, will be evident when you visit us on our farm. We have over five guest books filled with wonderful compliments about our rentals. Sandy, an RN, and Frank, a CNA, both owned and operated an Assisted Living Facility for over 24 years in Florida. We lived on site at the ALF to assure quality interaction with our residents. Now we live on the farm in NC to assure the needs of vacationers will be met.You will have a relaxing and fun vacation with your family. We look forward to meeting you and don't forget to stop into our coffee shop called 'Coffee on the Rocks'. We are also on Facebook.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Lure:
Lake Lure is the jewel of Western North Carolina in our opinion. The lake was voted one of the top 10 in the world by National Geographic magazine. It is also the site of famous movie productions such as 'Dirty Dancing' and 'The Last of the Mohicans' and many more. The area has wonderful festivals all through the year due to the mild climate. We also vacationed here for many years and knew this is where we wanted to spend the best years of our lives. One of he best parts of this property to us was the chicken coop! We can have fresh eggs and share some with you.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We are members of 'Rumbling Bald Resort' and can give you free passes to use the heated pool, work out gym, jacuzzi, beach, tennis courts, and minature golf , as our guests. There is so much more in that area. Our 'Welcome Album' has all that info for you when you arrive, including details about the wonderful restaurants, golf courses, and horseback riding stables, zip lines, and water activities nearby.
