The one and only original SaddleBrooke casita rental with a front window and courtyard view of the beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains, direct access to a state-protected river wash suitable for hiking and bird watching, as well as three golf courses, this is the vacation setting for you. La Casita de la Paz, or “little house of peace,” is attached to a wonderfully landscaped home but has its own access and private courtyard for outdoor use.
La Casita de la Paz is furnished in yellow pine with genuine Navajo rugs, original artwork with iron accents.
The courtyard has a custom bronze gate, 2 fountains, Spanish furniture, roses and a mountain view. It is perfect for coffee, casual meals or evening cocktails. Two portable rocking chairs and two portable lounge chairs are provided because, yes you may just want to relax in the warmth and do absolutely nothing. A charcoal BBQ is provided for your use. The courtyard is a great place for star gazing at night with a chimenea (Mexican fire pit) for warmth.
The Casita is cheerful 400 sq ft studio with 3 windows. One facing the mountains and the other 2 the courtyard. A bistro table and 2 swivel chairs are provided for indoor dining as well as a wonderful mohair chair for cozying up with a good book and a black leather chair aimed at TV viewing (but it is OK to read here too).
We have the platinum satellite package so you lack nothing in TV viewing. If you must, bring your laptop as the Casita is equipped with WIFI.
Dining & cooking utensils, apartment size fridge, coffee pot, toaster oven, hot plate, and hair dryer are provided. There are extra towels, blankets and bedding. For additional comfort the bed is fitted with a thick memory foam pad and the windows are covered with room darkening shades. We have provided you with two hooded spa robes AND there is plenty of reading material and tourist information provided.
The owner is available to help you get the most out of your stay and will gladly advise you on tourist attractions and local activities.

Here we are proudly standing in the courtyard during our home's construction in the spring of 2006.
Mike a college professor still works and travels back and forth to California. Diane lives full time in Tucson and is available to help make your dream vacation a reality.
Why the Owner Chose Saddlebrooke
We love the beauty awe and wonder of this area. It is magical. With 8 mountain ranges surrounding Tucson it is a gorgeous area with the pleasures and comforts of a city.
Wildlife abounds. We regularly see bobcats, coyotes, deer, javalina and so many birds it is impossible to list.
The area is quiet and serene.

We stayed here Thanksgiving week. The Casita was spotless and had all the amenities one would need. Diane was most gracious. We highly recommend this! Great alternative to hotel. Beautiful!!! Thanks and see you next year:)

The casita was spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully, and in a great location. The pool was close and Diane's bike was available. I appreciated having wifi access as well.

Excellent alternative to staying in a Tucson/Oro Valley hotel when visiting Saddlebrooke. The casita was clean, very private and had everything we needed. Diane was helpful and respected our privacy; definitely recommend if visiting Saddlebrooke.

We were very pleased with the renlal. It was quiet, peaceful and in a very safe neighborhood. The rental was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated and had a very comfortable bed. There were lots of little "extra touches" that made our stay more comfortable. We would definately stay again and would recommend this rental to our friends.

We enjoyed our week stay in the cute casita. It was very clean and had alot of amenities. There is a courtyard to be able to sit outside and enjoy the view of the mountains. The owner was very easy to work with, respected your privacy and very helpful.

The Casita was an excellent base for my stay in the Saddlebrooke area. Very cosy and contained everything I needed to make my stay there an enjoyable one just before Christmas 2008. The scenery around is breathtaking and all the Saddlebrooke sports/leisure facilities are excellent. I would love to stay there again and would highly recommend it to other potential guests.
