My family had a wonderful time at Sawtooth Log Cabin. The living space in the home is HUGE and the great room has the most spectacular views of the mountains. The kitchen is very open and well equipt. The cabin is on top of a small hill and is very private and peaceful. The location can't be beat - so close to the nearby lakes - our favorite was Redfish Lake - excellent activities and facilities. I would certainly recommend a visit!!!

This lodge was perfect for a reunion for four siblings and their spouses. Four bedrooms were a requirement, and not that easy to find. The lodge was perfectly set up for our needs. The views and nearby trails kept us enchanted when not venturing out to local attractions. There were many things to do in the area that fit all our various needs- White water rafting with The River Company; lunch, a boat ride and hike at Redfish Lake Lodge; hikes around local lakes; mountain biking at Galena Lodge; Monday night BBQ in Stanley; and of course, Huckleberry ice cream (often!) at Smiley Creek Lodge a short walk away. All in all, the Sawtooth Log Cabin was perfect for us!

Our family had an incredible stay in this clean, roomy, and well appointed home. Everything you need is available; a full kitchen, outdoor grill, spacious deck with spectacular views, and lots of private sleeping rooms. We fished very successfully in several of the mountain lakes, hiked to several alpine lakes, and enjoyed the wide array of outdoor activities available in the Stanley Basin. We watched "the deer and the antelope roam" from the deck. If history is your thing visit the Yankee Fork dredge or hike to Sawtooth City a nearby ghost town from a late 19th century gold rush. The accomplished chef and live music on Wed, Fri and Sat evenings at Redfish Lodge are also a great bonus. This home at Smiley Creek is a great base that is near to everything in the Stanley Basin and a short drive to Sun Valley. The owners are responsive and helpful hosts. The open Wi-Fi is a real plus in an area where you are mostly off the cell grid. Everything in the ad is as advertised or better.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sawtooth Log Cabin Retreat and we want to rebook for next summer! As we turned onto the road for the first time, we saw the cabin and all said, "We hope that's it" because it's the nicest and largest home in the area. Our young kids (1 and 3) enjoyed the spacious playroom, DVD player, ping pong table, and toys...very thoughtful. We loved the large wrap-around porch for enjoying wine and beautiful sunsets after great days of hiking! Conveniently located between Sun Valley and Stanley, need a car to really enjoy the area but there are nice hikes, strolls, and wildlife near the house too! For a challenging adventure hike we recommend climbing "Abes Chair," the mountain you can see directly out the side master bedroom window. We would definitely recommend this property and the owner is very helpful and quick to respond. One suggestion might be to add more photos to the website because the house is far nicer than the idea you get from the few pics. Thanks for a great time!

We have rented this cabin twice and both times it has been such an enjoyable trip. We love the view off the back deck. The sunsets are incredible. It is one of our favorite places to visit. There is so much to do and see. Red Fish Lake is a must see, as well as the hiking trails around the lake. The cabin offers comfort and relaxation. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We recently rented this property for a "guys trip" to Idaho for some hiking, biking, and rafting and could not have been more pleased with the accomodations. The cabin retreat slept the 8 of us comfortable and was well equipped. The location was awesome, secluded yet close to Stanley and Sun Valley/Ketchum. This property would be great for other groups like ours and families.
