A Home Away from Home

Guest: Julie (Calgary Alberta Canada)
Date of Stay: 08/07/11 Review Submitted: 08/15/11

My family and I stayed at the Garden Cottage for a week and just loved it. The cottage has the charm of times gone past with the modern conveniences of today. The location of the cottage is ideal for on foot exploration of the downtown and the lake or just a peaceful walk long the tree lined streets full of beautiful houses from the early 1900's. I highly recommend this lovely cottage for anyone who wants to experience the charms of Coeur d' Alene .

We stayed in this home for our annual girls' weekend and it was perfect! The description of the home is totally accurate. Hayley has provided everything you could possibly think of. The home itself is charming, cozy and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend staying here!!

Thanks for the use of your lovely home, Hayley. We all enjoyed the warm atmosphere. It was very well equipped. Every need was met. I love CDA and will be sure to check with you first when planning future visits.

Perfect for our weekend in Coeur d'Alene

Guest: Joyce (Kalispell, MT)
Date of Stay: 10/21/10 Review Submitted: 11/10/10

Your home was perfect for our weekend in Coeur d'Alene! Our family of 5 was very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed your warm and cozy home (the beds & linens were wonderful!). My folks said they could not have chosen a better spot for our weekend of celebrating their 60th anniversary! We would love to come back and visit in the summer, when we can thoroughly take advantage of all the outdoor activities (and the wonderful fire pit!). Thanks again!

Just move it to Calgary...

Guest: Lee (Calgary)
Date of Stay: 09/07/10 Review Submitted: 09/30/10

Loved this property! If I could just pick it up and move it to Calgary I'd make an offer. Everything was clean, and the beds were luxurious and comfy. Fireplace was super and when heat was needed, it became a wonderfully cosy home. We stayed for a week in September - the downstairs bedroom was great for my 84-year old mother. We could walk down to the Lake and the hikes in Tubbs Hill Park. Be sure to get out on CDA Lake too. Magical. Would definitely recommend it to others - and perhaps a girls' weekend is in the cards for next spring! Thanks!

Family of Four from Tucson, Arizona

Guest: Doug and Nanci (Tucson, Arizona)
Date of Stay: 07/31/10 Review Submitted: 09/15/10

Our adventurous family of four cannot give a higher rating than we give to this magnificent home, on one of the most beautiful blocks in Coeur d'Alene. Our daughters are 12 and 9 and we have traveled all over the country to enjoy great family vacations. The listing description was perfectly accurate, as were the listing photographs. The house was perfectly maintained. Hayley and her mom and dad could not have been more gracious hosts. We asked questions and they had answers. Not only would we recommend this property to friends and relatives, we hope to stay at this house again next summer. As far as CDA is concerned, the town is marvelous. Anything you need is a beautiful walk from this wonderful home. It should also be known that we visited the second property owned by this family. It is right on the lake and equally as great. Keep up the great work. This is one of the great vacation spots in the northwestern part of the U.S. for sure. Just perfect.

Best Coeur d'Alene Vacation House!

Guest: Idaho Lover (San Jose, California)
Date of Stay: 06/30/10 Review Submitted: 08/17/10

Our family stayed at this property for the month of July and absolutely loved it! The home was very clean, welcoming and in the perfect location. We really enjoyed sitting by the firepit out back in the evenings and on the porch for coffee in the mornings. Also rode the bikes downtown everyday. This is the third time we've rented a vacation home in the area and this was by far our favorite! Haley was super great to rent from and made our stay very enjoyable. We also met several friendly neighbors while we were there which added to our fun. We love Coeur d'Alene and love this house and would definitely stay there on our next visit!

Like home away from home!

Perfect little home; we absolutely loved it. It's perfectly furnished and incredibly cozy. It had all the amenities we could hope for when we wanted to stay in and cook but is also close to plenty of great restaurants. The neighborhood is absolutely lovely too! It's low traffic with plenty of mature trees and sidewalks for exploring on foot. We can't wait to stay again!

Hayley, I wanted to let you know we had a very nice stay at your lovely house last weekend. The art was truly amazing. Our favorite things were the bicycles and the fire pit! We are talking about returning next year.

We loved the house and it was perfect for the Ironman, for the kids and everything. The back deck with the fire pit was the prime spot every morning for breakfast and coffee!! The fenced in back yard was perfect for the kids to play. Also, for me doing the Ironman, the room off the kitchen worked well for me getting sleep separate from the rest of the family! We’d highly recommend the place for the Ironman and anyone else looking for a convenient location in town close to downtown for parks, restaurants and shopping!
