This Westin Villa is the original model used to sell all of the villas. It has the most updated furnishings that remind us of the sophisticated "W" hotels in New York City with an island flair. So when you walk in you definitely feel like you are in the islands but are also living in a very sophisticated, fresh and updated villa with all of the fabulous amenities.
We particularly like our villa because of its location. Some of the villas sit right on the parking lot but this is nestled behind those where we don't hear a car door slam or any road traffic at all. All we hear are birdcalls and the gurgling sound of our pool fountain... and of course our children's delighted laughs as they play in the pool while we sip drinks in the hot tub or grill after a great day at the beach. Inside the villa all rooms are very quiet and very private. The beds are fabulous! They are the "heavenly" Westin beds that sink with comfort to your shape.
We always rent a jeep and take off in the morning to some perfect beach for a big part of the day. WE snorkel, read, swim, throw balls, hike...just enjoy the wonderful protected surroundings of St. John. Then we head back to play at the Westin pool and on the beach toys for the later afternoon. Back to our private villa poolside for a G&T or Cosmo while the kids jump in and then on to a casual dinner on our grill poolside or out for dinner. What I really love about our villa is the space - lots and lots of it. You will never feel like you are in a hotel and that you are stepping around each other.
You are absolutely in a home and it feels like that every single minute while you are there. There are lots of homes you can rent in St. John but the good thing about our villa is that the Westin fun is right there when we want it (spa, kids club, teen center, health club, beach activities, pool, fantastic tennis, etc...). So we feel we have the best of both worlds - privacy and activity... each available to us when we want it. It feels like our own little villa hideaway. We love it and invite you to enjoy it too! Beautiful villa, perfect location, resort fun, best island - what more could anyone want!! - Master & Family Room open onto pool terrace thru French doors. Terrace has lounges, dining table, hot tub and pool has waterfall for lovely sound. Kitchen including bar with three stools. All Beds are "heavenly" beds... and they are!! Decor is modern, fresh and stylish-a sophisticated island style. As the "model" villa this one is perfectly done with the best appointments, craftsmanship and artwork and is very private. Wake to birdsong, wind in the trees and the sound of the pool fountain in our tropical home. Go for a run or play tennis in the organized round robins at the Westin and then head off to a fabulous beach. Come home for a spa treatment or health club workout and then enjoy a great cocktail by your own pool or hit the Westin pool bar for a tropical drink beachside. We love it here because we can remain very private or spend lots of time in activities appropriate for the whole family with lots of others at the Westin.
