The first minute we walked in the door of this apartment, we loved it! I don't know how to describe it, other than to say it is an utterly charming, cozy and perfect place to spend a holiday. And we did--for six wonderful days. Claudia is a truly thoughtful hostess/owner and it shows. She left a big wooden bowel of scrumptious strawberries for us on the dining room table, along with a bottle of wonderful olive oil from her own presses. (We used every last drop, Claudia!). She also stocked the frig with juice, milk and bottled water. The layout was perfect for our party of three. The furniture has a rustic elegance and the beds are very comfortable. Many towels are provided for guests. The kitchen is well-stocked and beautiful. The patio/balcony is quaint and is also a good place to hang laundry on the large metal rack provided for that purpose. Most of all, Borgo Pinti is a quiet side street, but is within walking distance to EVERY major site in Florence. A well-stocked grocery store is minutes away from the apartment which makes it very convenient for picking up ingredients for meals and also "sundries"--toiletries, paper-towels, etc. This was our fourth apartment rental in Europe and Borgo Pinti was by far our favorite. We will be back! Grazie, Claudia! Clayton and Jaimie Kau and Mark Pentecost from Southern California

Borgo Pinti 2 ....it just makes me so happy when I type or say that name. I had the distinct pleasure of staying at Cluadia's immaculate and beautifully appointed apartment for the past 19 days. I traveled with my 77 year old mother the first half and my husband joined me the 2nd half. We were visiting our daughter who is studying hospitality in Florence. Location is everything and I was so pleased that we could walk to every single place in Florence that we needed to go i.e. shopping, the Duomo, the Uffitzi, the Acadamia, the Michealangelo Plaza and fabulous restaurants and late nights now and then. . One of the nice surprises is that it is on a one way street which eliminates traffic noise. Also, there are 2 great restaurants close enough to Borgo Pinti if you have had a long day. Also, 2 doors down on the right is a convenient mart that had the important things one needs at the last minute. Two doors down on the left is a great pharmacy in which the pharmacist was able to help my daughter with a pharmacy need..no doctor necessary. Lastly, the pleasure of meeting Claudia and her special people made me realize that I had chosen the best place and the best landlord. She helped arrange a tour through the Chianti country, which was not her job to do. I know that she wants to please her guests and she goes above an beyond to do this. You will be so lucky if you choses to stay at Borgo Pinti!!!
Owner response:Dear Carolyn, thank you so much for your review. I am happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the apartment comfortable. I gave Alessandro the earrings you left and what you want me to give Sydney. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you, your mother, and family once again in the next future. Take care of you and best wishes, Claudia

We had the pleasure of staying in Claudia's beautiful apartment while visiting our daughter who is studying in Florence. We arrived on Christmas day, which we expected to be less than convenient, but Claudia was gracious enough to let our daughter store some food in the kitchen and provide her with a key in advance so that we did not need to disturb anybody's holiday with our arrival. Additionally, the kitchen was stocked with water, juice, coffee, a fresh fruit basket, and wonderful olive oil that Claudia bottles herself. The apartment was spacious enough for the 4 of us to not feel crowded. It was well furnished, with comfortable beds and linens. WiFi, heat, and hot water were all in excellent working order. We were even able to comfortably prepare meals in the kitchen. The location was fabulous...convenient walking distance to everything in Florence, and a true upscale residential neighborhood. Neighborhood restaurants and shops were all very nice. We look forward to staying at Borgo Pinti again on our next visit to Florence.
Owner response:Dear Shelley thank you so much for your beautiful review. I only regret I could not meet you this time. I hope you will be back and then, I am sure, we can meet. I wish you and your family a peaceful, healthy, wonderful 2012.

Our family of 5 stayed here for a few days while visiting our daughter, a student in Florence. This apartment was everything we hoped for and more! The website descriptions were very accurate. The apartment is very clean, comfortable, spacious, and safe and within walking distance to all sites and restaurants in Florence. The photo of the kitchen doesn't reflect its adequate size and how well appointed it is. We had breakfast there each day and cooked and "Italian Thanksgiving" meal--everything we needed to cook was available. Martina and Keity checked us in and oriented us to the apartment, and had even provided fruits, beverages, and Claudia's own fresh pressed olive oil....simply the best! The cell phone for local use is another example of the special touches Claudia provides to ensure a memorable and comfortable stay. Claudia was available to us at any time and was very responsive and kind when we had questions or concerns. She is a caring and kind landlord and we strongly recommend staying here. Claudia, we love the new photos of beautiful Pietro and your grandchildren!

I had the pleasure of staying in Claudia's larger apartment, Pinti 2, earlier this month. We were five women traveling to Florence to visit our college age students studying there. The accommodations were just as described. The apartment was in excellent condition. We were greeted upon arrival, goodies in the fridge, coffee ready for morning, and a bowl of fresh apples on the table It was such a pleasant introduction to our home away from home! The location of the apartment was important as we wanted to be centrally located. In fact we were blocks from the Duomo, and within walking distance of any of the important sites around the city including the train station. The neighborhood is terrific as well...there was a great market nearby we frequented for fresh fruit, veggies and pasta for our homemade suppers; a coffee shop right across the street, and a fabulous spot to grab sandwiches and gelato too. I have total confidence in recommending this location to anyone planning on visiting Florence; Claudia is a delight and her property is really top notch!

We recently stayed for more than a week and I cannot say enough about Claudia and her invaluable assistance. The apartment is very clean and organized yet homey and comfortable and truly reflects how much care and consideration Claudia puts forth. She's thought of everything! From the lovely basket of fresh fruit and homemade olive oil to the bottled water, juice and coffee to get us started. We so appreciated having the washing machine (push the off/on button before trying to open the door) and iron (you'll need the reducer that is probably on the toaster to plug it in). Claudia answered so many of our general travel questions and even arrange a wine tasting tour for us before we ever arrived at her apartment. She and Martina were only ever a phone call or email away - even when we locked ourselves out of the apartment!! We loved the shutters and window screens - never needed the aC. From the start I felt as if I already knew and her. It was a true pleasure to meet her in person. The neighborhood is quiet and very close to most points of interest. Accadi Trattoria across the street is wonderful and friendly. There is a market nearby that was very helpful as well as a few fruit and vegetable stands that we shopped every couple of days. I highly recommend Claudia's apartments. We cannot thank you enough, Claudia for a wonderful experience! Thank you too for a lovely evening in Panzano.
Owner response:Dear Michele, thank you so much for your wonderful review. I am happy to know you enjoyed your stay in Borgo Pinti. I will be happy to hear any suggestion you may have to make improvements. I hope you will be back again in the next future. Best wishes Claudia

My wife and I and my cousin and his wife were guests here for five nights at the end of September, 2011. The apartment is spacious, bright, airy, clean, well appointed, and quiet. The apartment opens onto an inner courtyard that provides great light with no noise. We had more than enough room for the 4 of us and really enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen. As a matter of fact, we decided to eat in one evening and had a fun time preparing dinner in our own “cucina”. Both the clothes washer and dishwasher worked just fine. The welcome basket of fruit, olive oil, etc. added a very personal touch. The apartment is located in the historic center – just a short walk to all the churches, museums, etc. that we wanted to see. There are several nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk - including one right across the street. There is also a grocery store and many small shops selling bread, pastries, cheese, ham, etc. nearby. In short, the apartment is excellent and I highly recommend it. Claudia is articulate, helpful and a real delight. She takes a great deal of pride in her apartments and works hard to insure that her guests have a marvelous stay. You couldn’t ask for a better owner.
Owner response: Dear Lou, thank you very much for your beautiful review. I am happy to know you enjoyed your stay. I would be pleased to accept any suggestion you may give to make improvements to the apartment. Best wishes to you all Claudia

This apartment was spacious, beautiful and immaculately clean. Claudia provided a lovely welcome arrangement of fruit, milk, juice, etc. She was very responsive to our needs, in particular when we had trouble with the wi fi. A repairman was on the premises the next day. The apartment is tastefully decorated and comfortable, appliances in good working order, bedding and towels of a very good quality. The loft adds charm. We would love to stay there again.
Owner response:Dear Duane, thank you very much for your beautiful review. I really appreciate your kindness and I hope you will be back again in the next future. Best regards Claudia

My wife and I had 3 spare days in Italy and wanted to see Florence. We usually stay in hotels but a friend told us about the VROB site. The decision to book this apartment in Florence was wonderful and added an extra dimension to the visit. The owner Claudia met us at the apartment, explained all in detail and then gave us a bottle of olive oil she had produced herself (a wonderful touch and much used during our stay). The apartment was so clean and inviting we decided to buy food and eat on the courtyard balcony on a number of occasions so we could experience living in it a little longer. It is located so close to most of the tourist features of Florence and yet you feel you are living amongst the residents rather than the tourists and the noise. Claudia was a delight to deal with and an even greater delight to meet. Ihave no hesitation in recommending this apartment.
Owner response:Dear David, thank you very much for spending some of your time writing a review. I really appreciate it and I am sure it will be very useful to our future guests to know that they can trust me. I understand how difficult can be to make a reservation living far away. It was really a pleasure to meet you and Catherine and I hope you will be back for a longer time next time. I wish you and Catherine all the best Claudia

My husband, two children in their 20's and I spent an amazing week in Florence and stayed at Borgo Pinti 2. I chose the apartment based on reviews here on the VRBO website and we were not disappointed. The apartment was very clean and comfortable in a perfect location. We could walk everywhere. We felt safe walking home late after dinner. It was quiet, but very close to restaurants, bars etc. Claudia allowed us to check in early and the apartment was ready when we arrived. We really appreciated that Claudia had provided bottled water, milk and juice in the refrigerator. The kitchen was well equipped and there was coffee for us as well as a basket of fresh nectarines and a bottle of Claudia's delicious olive oil. Claudia provided a local cell phone so we were able to make reservations at restaurants and confirm tour arrangements. When we were getting ready to leave Claudia called the taxi company and set up our departure transportation. This apartment is exactly as described here on the website. It was great to have a comfortable living room to relax in at the end of the day. Wireless internet in the apartment allowed us to research restaurants and destinations while we were there as well as keep in touch with family. Having a washing machine was so convenient, we were able to do laundry and didn't need to pack as many clothes. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone planning to visit Florence. My husband and children all agree with me, we would love to return to Florence and we would definitely stay at Borgo Pinti again.
Owner response:Dear Barbara, thank you very much for your beautiful review. I am happy you could enjoy a wonderful vacation in Florence. I regret I could not meet you and I really hope you will come back. Best wishes to you and to your family Claudia

My husband and I and our two daughters, both in their 20s, stayed in this lovely and spacious apartment in Florence. The apartment was so welcoming that we felt immediately at ease. Claudia, the owner, has provided everything you might need from beautiful linens and a local cell phone to a well stocked kitchen. She even gave us a bottle of her wonderful homemade olive oil! We enjoyed having our coffee in the morning on the patio. The location is within walking distance to all the sights in Florence . There is a nice little trattoria across the street with a friendly staff and great food and the open food market is a few minutes away. Claudia is very helpful for any questions or needs you may have and answers emails and calls immediately. Perfect! is the only way to describe this apartment.
Owner response:Dear Anne, thank you very much for your wonderful review. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Pinti 2 and I hope to meet you again in the future. Fondly Claudia

Claudia - Again, thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your terrific apartment in the heart of Florence. The apartment was perfect. Plenty of space for my husband and I, and our two teenage daughters. The kitchen was large and the balcony was a treat in the mornings. We appreciated the welcome items to tide us over until we could shop the next day, and the cell phone and wifi. The location was great - so close to the Duomo, restaurants and small shops. The girls enjoyed the Gelato and also the near by chocolate shop. It was also a pleasure to meet you Thursday evening; I'm so happy we were able to connect. Thanks again, and look forward to returning one day!

Dear Claudia, We finally arrived home late last Wednesday evening (actually at 2:00 am Thursday morning Canadian time) following a long day of travel. Our day was even longer when we discovered at Florence airport that we were one hour ahead since, we had no idea that the daylight saving time change had already occurred in Italy on Sunday! Consequently we were one hour ahead of the rest of Florence for our last three days! Daylight savings did not come into effect in Canada until this past weekend. Once again we want to thank you for all of your help in making our Italian vacation most memorable. Your apartment was very comfortable and so well equipped it almost felt like home! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you, Arnaldo and your son Marco and also your American friends. Thank you also for the olive oil and the wine. We enjoyed the wine in Florence and will put the olive oil to good use here in Canada. Take care, Robert and Sandra

My wife and I spent three wonderful weeks at Claudia's apartment, Borgo Pinti 2. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Martina. The apartment was spotless. Shortly thereafter, Serena came and explained everything we needed to know. She also was very helpful and assisted with the Wi-Fi connection for my laptop. The location of the apartment is perfect, a residential street among locals. There is an outdoor market a short distance from the apartment as well as two good restaurants. Within ten minutes you are at the center of Florence and all its many treasures, such as , il Duomo, Pitti Palace, Ponte Vechio, Santa Maria Novella and the train station. While we were there, we took day trips by train or autobus to Lucca, Viareggio, Siena, Arezzo, Fiesole, Livorno and Panzano in the wine country. All these towns can be reached by train in about an hour and ten minutes. No need for a car. Claudia was most gracious and cordial. She was always available and concerned that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. I would highly recommend this apartment and we hope to return again soon.

We recently travelled to Florence and stayed at Pinti 2 during a very warm June. The description and pictures of the apartment were very accurate and AC was excellent. The location was excellent. The owner arranged for the cleaners to be there when we arrived from Rome so we could leave our luggage after a long 24 hours of travel. We were so happy to find a clean, well stocked apartment with many of the necessities there for our immediate use. The apartment was so comfortable for the 5 of us and we enjoyed the balcony for morning coffee and and an afternoon respite from the heat of the day. From the first emails, Claudia made me feel as though I was dealing with a friend and not a rental agency. She promptly answered any questions and went out of her way to work with our travel plans. I would strongly recommend staying here. She made our stay in Florence outstanding.
Owner response:Dear Gail, thank you very much indeed for your wonderful comment. It is always a pleasure to have guests like you. Pinti 1 amd Pinti 2 are a small business for me, but first of all, they give me the opportunity to meet wonderful people. Best regards and thank you again Claudia

Claudia, your natural gift for hospitality is a treasure and a benefit to anyone who rents your home as their home for holiday! Our correspondence from the beginning always felt like a friendship more than a business transaction and that continued right up until the last day we were in Florence. I can't begin to thank you for the help you gave me while I was planning! The apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated and just a comfortable place to be as we reflected upon the day's adventures and planned the evening's events. The description and photos you provide is 100% accurate. How refreshing! We found the location to be convenient, yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle when we wanted to be. As you know, we were traveling as a graduation gift for our God Daughter, Holly. When a teenager tells you it is a wonderful place, you know you have done well! I am so pleased to say that not only the apartment, but meeting you, Claudia, will be on of those breathtaking moments that will stay with me all of my days. My best to you as you continue to share your many gifts with others. I will recommend you to many friends and hope that I will return to see you one day! Best Regards, Cheryl, Colin, Pam and Holly Monroe, GA USA
Owner response:Dear Cheryl, thank you very much for your wonderful review. It was such a pleasure for me to meet you all and I only regret, that we could not spend some more time together. I spent the month of May 2010 in Claudia's wonderfully equipted and luxuriously appointed apartment. With its spacious size, I was able to have several friends and relatives come and visit, without feeling cramped or crowded. The balcony was a lovely place to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine, while checking my emails. Claudia was ever so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed, even fixing the wireless so my daughters could keep up with their college work! Because the apartment is located in a "courtyard", it was very peaceful and quiet, with only the glorious sounds of the church bells. The location was perfect-between the Accademia and Santa Croce, with a detour to the Duomo on the way. The apartment was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists at the Duomo and Uffizi to be quiet and restful, yet close enough to be only a few blocks walk to all the major sites in Florence. There is nothing so spectacular as walking a few cobblestone blocks, turning to the right and having the Duomo rising next to you. Breathtaking! There are over 50 steps to the apartment-which may be a consideration for some-but I am in chemotherapy and I was able to handle it! Once the luggage went up-it stayed up! I have stayed in Florence 6 times, and Claudia's apartment was one of the nicest- WiFi, washing machine, balcony, dishwasher-and a great shower. Also, the screens turned out to be very helpful in keeping the bugs out after a rainy spring. The apartment was well equipted for a short visit or a long stay. I'm aready thinking about my return! Thanks Claudia for a wonderful break from the "real" world. Marta, Caitlin, Amelia and Hayley from Michigan

My friends and I had a wonderful short stay in this apartment. It was perfect in every way. It is within walking distance to all the sites. We highly recommend the Accadi Trattoria across the street for dinner, just steps from the apartment. You do have to walk up a few flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but it is worth the climb. Serena was extremely helpful to us with directions and any other questions we had. Unfortunately we did not meet Claudia, but she is a wonderful hostess, very accommodating. This apartment is very lovely and you can see well taken care of. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Florence, and hope to one day come back and stay longer.

We passed a wonderful week in Florence. Our hearts are full of impressions of this wonderful city. We walked kilometers and saw a lot of beautiful things: we visited some museums, we saw exibithions and markets, we saw the burning colombina at the duomo on easter .... Claudias appartement was just perfect for our family. Its really in the heart of the city. Its quiet and on a large scale; everyone of us felt at home. We liked the kitchen where we sit together to discuss our programs, we liked the little balcony, the kids liked their own tv. Thank you, Claudia!

My family stayed in both of Claudias apartments last September, and these apartments set the standard for ever for us. They are in a perfect location, walking distance to anywhere you want to go in the central Florence, full of light and I cannot think of one detail overlooked in decoration or equipment. Claudia and Serina, the manager, are quick to respond and a phone call away for any help or questions you may need. The apartments are across from each other on the 3rd floor walk up,top floor, of a well maintained building, across from a charming tratoria, a quick 5 minutes from the duomo walking. There is a real grocery store around the corner, the market san ambrocio is less than 5 minutes walking, the arno and ponte vechio 7 minutes walking etc, etc, etc. I wouldn´t even look for another place to stay in Florence. Everything about these apartments is perfect.
