We are a group of 3 couples who just returned from a beautiful and relaxing trip to California. Our first week was spent in Dana Point and it was a huge blessing to have come across this property on VRBO. The description of the the properties and the pictures shown do not give it justice. Once seen in person you will realize that you have definately scored a touchdown. We arrived later in the evening but the directions Peter had provided made it super easy to find the home. We did a quick count of what was provided in the property before we did our grocery and beverage run and we were quite pleased that everything was well thought out and included. All we needed was our food and beverages. Just down the hill is a grocery store and a Costco (and a nail salon for the ladies) for all your basic needs during your stay. The condo itself was perfect for the 6 of us. The layout and the furnishings we luxuriuous and the deck with a view was a highlight every evening. The pool was across the lane and was never busy and if you wanted the beach it was just a short drive down the hill. All in all, this was a perfect location to use a base camp for seeing the sights. We ventured up to LA a couple times and to San Diego another. We drove the coast highway to Laguna and Newport Beach (girls wanted to shop) and everyhwere in between and all within a 30 minute drive. Note: Stop at the Ritz Carlton for a drink and the best view you will ever see in southern California! Thanks so much Peter. We hope we will cross paths again. A Diamond in the Heart of Southern California

Thank you, Peter, for allowing us to rent your condo for the month of February 2012. What a wonderful way to escape the cruel winter in the Midwest. The view from the downstairs living area and the upstairs master bedroom is spectacular! We never tired of watching the ocean and hearing its waves. You're right when you say that you have the best condo in all of Orange County! It was spotlessly clean and contained every comfort and amenity that we could possibly desire. We especially enjoyed the firepit on the deck in the cool evenings. Dana Point has some amazing walking paths high up on the cliffs or along the beach. We played golf, took the Surfliner to Old Town San Diego,attended the golf tourney at Riviera Country Club, and went to Catalina Island and enjoyed lunch at the Wrigley Mansion.We tried many of the 134 restaurants, our favorites being L'Hirondelle in San Juan and Gemmell's in the harbor. If we return to southern CA, we will definitely stay here again and I'd recommend this property to any of my friends.

Amazing time

It is much better than those pictures...The house is very charming and confortable, the place is perfect, the view is amazing, its very easy to go to Disney, LA, San Diego, Six Flags and etc... You will find a lot of good restaurants in Laguna Beach that is just beside Dana Point! I was travelling with my wife and 3 kids, we are from Brazil and we spending a lovely days in Dana Point. Peter , the owner, is very kind and look for every detail to make your stay confortable...So close your eyes and rent this house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Than you,Peter, for letting us stay in your lovely house. We really enjoyed the views and the sound of the sea. The pool was great too. We managed to relax and yet did so much- San Diego Zoo, USS Midway carrier, Gas Lamp District in San Diego. Also the beautiful Mission in San Jaun Capistrano (what a surprize), we aslo visited the beaches at Doheny, Laguna and Newport including Balboa. All had such different and lovely characteristics.Some of us also went cycling along the coast. We had a good time at Dana Point. Thank you again, Joanne, Michael, David and Anna Surrey UK

Dear Peter and Eve, We had a wonderful time exploring the Dana Point and Laguna areas. It was great to have a home base to come back to get recharged, relax and then go back out. You have definitely created an oasis here and thought of what your Guest would need to feel at home and to enjoy the beach. We loved the kitchen, patio and the bedrooms were spacious. 2011 Winter in Paradise

Our 3 months (Jan_March 2011) in Peter's Condo were absolutely wonderful. Getting away from the Midwest Winter, was made even better by the accomodations we enjoyed in the Condo and Peter's allowing us the same freedom and comfort we enjoy in our own home. Peter was an attentive owner and was "Johnny on the spot" when we had any questions or issues. This property has an absolutely fabulous view of which our family and guests who visited could not get enough. We had some awesome sunsets and will miss these nightly views that we had come to expect as normal. The area also offered lots to do in addition to its easy drive to both San Diego and Los Angeles. Thanks again Peter for a Wonderful Winter and for sharing this "Jewel". Again, thanks for allowing us to have a great Winter here in SoCal!

The condominium, beautifully decorated, really made our visit to Southern California so extra special. The location is lovely, the Association property is well maintained and, of course, this condo was perfect for us (two couples). We were so comfortable and really could not think of anything that was missed. I would recommend this property to anyone and hope to be able to return. The description and pictures say it all. No exageration, except maybe accessibility to the beach.

Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

Excellent Dana Pointe Jewel

Having the opportunity to stay in this well maintained condo near the beach with the fantastic view was a dream come true. The amenities of the condo were the best. It was well stocked with items that were needed to make any family feel right at home. The off street parking in the garage made it convient for us to come and go as we pleased. The layout of the place was perfect to our home away from home. The pictures on the internet do not give this place justice to how it really is.... it is clean spacious and very well decorated. We recommend this condo to our dearest friends and family. In fact we have placed this on our bucket list for next year and many years to come. Mr DeSilva was very professional and trustworthy and a pleasure to communicate with during our stay. Thank you for sharing your Dana Point Jewel with our family.

Luxury with a Fabulous Ocean View!

This is the most fabulous condo! The only question to ask now is WHEN ARE WE COMING BACK??!! We were here for a very extended (3 month) escape from the Chicago cold and never wanted to leave! From the moment we walked in, the condo felt like our home - luxurious in every way, as the photos will well attest. It is well -appointed with an amazing, convenient location and the very best ocean view in Dana Point! The gourmet kitchen is appointed with high-end appliances and every utensil/cookware/dishes you will ever need! The flat-screen Sony TV and stereo with surround sound and cable was also provided. The property is clean and well-maintained as the owner, Peter, kept it well-stocked with everything you need, from paper towels, vanity napkins, etc to shampoos, conditioners and hair dryers! The washer/dryer is conveniently located in the two-car garage and came with ample laundry soaps. Beach towels were provided as the beach is a 5 minute drive from the condo.The harbor, Costco, grocery stores, etc. were within a 5 minute drive as well. Be sure to buy some of Costco's fantastic wine. The selection there was outstanding. Our guests enjoyed their accommodations in the guest rooms, but moreover, relished on the back deck at the firepit listening to the waves and sea lions at night. Making Some'ors was never so much fun. The area provides a wealth of activities, as it is situated near the quaint charms of San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Beach and Corona Del Mar...many beach, sight-seeing and restaurant opportunities await you. L.A. and San Diego are easy to reach via the nearby freeway. In closing, we would highly recommend staying in this condo. You will not be disappointed! We would especially like to thank the owner, Peter, for his generous hospitality and professionalism. We truly enjoyed meeting you and having the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Southern California at the "Jewel".

Fantastic.....sums it all up in one word! Thank you so much for the opportunity of spending our vacation in your beautiful home. From the moment we arrived we knew that we wouldn't want to leave and its rare for a holiday home to exceed your expectations but your Condo really did. The setting was perfect overlooking the ocean and being a surfer, watching the waves from the superb master suite was something that dreams are made of.- Jacks Surf Hire at Dana Point were very helpful with board hire. The Condo was wonderfully equiped from the stunning kitchen, great bathrooms and the beautiful bedding we really couldn't have asked for more. We spent our days on the stunning sorrounding beaches,we particularly liked San Clemente and spent our evenings dining on the stunning terrace. We ran out of time to do all we wanted,so will be back as soon as we can! Graham & Sharon England

Dear Peter and Eve, Thank you very kindly for your gracious hospitality. The condo was not only beautifully furnished/decorated but also well-stocked (i.e. paper towels, beach towels, toiletries, grilling tools, laundry sundries). The attention to detail was readily noticeable in the amenities (e.g. large cable tv with dvd selections, bbq grill on balcony, outdoor fireplace with seating, books & magazines, wifi internet). The pristine oceanview invigorated us every morning, and the sound of the waves crashing lulled the family to sleep in the evenings. Furthermore, the walk to Doheny Beach allowed us to traverse and explore the SoCal terrain while giving us a good 20-25 min cardio workout. In addition, the proximity of the condo to the I-5 was highly convenient. We could reach Irvine in 20-25min, Anaheim in 30-35min, and L.A. in about 1hr. Our New Yorker tendency would have liked a faster broadband connection, but we learned to disengage and chilled like a true Californian in your zen-like abode. In summary, thank you for making this trip one of our most enjoyable and memorable. -Jan & Nick, New York, New York

Dear Peter and Eve, As you know ours story was a little different. We came to the Dana Point area to work at a convention and decided that a condo rental might be better than staying at a ho-hum hotel for so many days. I and two others worked long days and had the privilege to come “home” to your fantastic place. If you have ever had a job that requires weeks of travel, you know how homesick you can get, but your home was so comfortable that we settled in as if it were at home. I was skeptical that the pictures on VRBO were of a model home but in fact it was yours. First class amenities, very comfortable beds and the little touches made all the difference. We travel a lot for work and have stayed in vacation rentals before but all of the extras that you provide REALLY made the difference. I have stayed in places where the first thing you have to do is buy toilet paper and towels. Everything we could ever want or need was provided except for food - right down to tons of towels, hand soap, and blow dryers. I know that laundry soap and hangers doesn’t seem like a big deal but when you expecting to buy them and don’t have to, it is a very pleasant surprise. You really know how to make someone feel at home and we will definitely recommend your place if we get the chance. P.S. We enjoyed the view of the ocean every single day.
