Our vacation home offers the best of both worlds; a place to relax and a location to explore nature. Located on a quiet cul de sac, the house features decks that offer an unobstructed view down a redwood canyon to the ocean. (The Point Reyes peninsula is visible on a clear day!) Listen for the barking of the seals or the whistle of an osprey as it glides overhead with a fish.
A short drive takes you to some of the most spectacular hikes and beaches on the California coast, including Stillwater Cove and Salt Point State Park (known for mushroom foraging).
The fully supplied kitchen features a pantry stocked with the basics such as coffee, sugar, and rice. Bring your own groceries and cook, head down the hill to a nearby restaurant, or take the spectacular drive to Gualala for a variety of dining options.
Our guests have told us (and we agree) that the stay is wonderful rain or shine. The bookshelves feature a variety of reading materials, games, DVDs and videos. There is plenty of wood to keep you warm or create the perfect getaway setting.

We loved this place. Very well stocked with everything we needed. Clean, comfortable beds, well equipped. Felt like home, which is exactly what I look for in a vacation rental. The price was good too, and the owner was easy to work with. I can't think of anything bad to say about this place. We will rent again. If you want to see some of the most beautiful and pristine coastline in California, Timber Cove is a great place to make your home base. Sight seeing, hiking, meditation, peace and quiet are all there in abundance. Not much in the way of entertainment or dining outside of the Timber Cove Inn though, so bring along anything you might .
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

If you are looking for a quite and peaceful getaway -- away from the crowds -- with plenty of natural scenic places close by, this is the house for you. The owner is very easy and friendly, the house was beautiful, the trees around the house were soothing, etc.. In short, everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.
